Hello there! Thanking you for stopping by on YouTube Tuesday here at Clarity. I thought it would be good to let the Gelli Plate have a rest, and get the Gilding Flakes out. This is quick, simle and very effective. Now I know it’s June, and Christmas is many months away, but if you do make your own cards, or you are thinking about going for it this year, then this gilding flake trick on an adhesive sheet is really…
Hello there! Thanks for stopping by! It’s Monday, and I’m late again. I had fully intended to have a quick cuppa and get going. However. I have just spent 2 hours cleaning the fridge out instead. Somebody laid the litre bottle of orange juice horizontal, but the lid wasn’t on properly, so when I went to get the milk for my said quick cuppa, oh what joy! Everything – and I mean EVERYTHING was swimming in orange juice. Sticky orange…
Hello there! Thanks for stopping by. Sorry I’m a little late out of the starting blocks today. Just been mopping up after the Pizza & Beer after-party we had at the house yesterday for the Team. My God!! It’s been a busy few days! In case you haven’t heard, both Open Days here in Crowborough went down a storm, and a very happy, creative time was had by all – both the guests and the Clarity crew. It’s quite quiet here…
Hello there! Thanks for stopping by. What a day we had at the Crowborough Rugby Club! I honestly don’t think it could have gone any better! Thank you so much to all who attended and all who helped make it simply superb. I will blog about the Open Days when I get time to enjoy it later in the week… Dave and I had to shoot up to London to a business do in the evening, and received a Commendation…
Hello there! Well, it’s friday, and very, very early. TODAY IS THE BIG DAY: The First Clarity Open Day Oh boy, do I hope it goes well! We had a long day, getting the hall ready… It always looks a bit daunting when you start, with a huge empty space, and a huge full van…. Jayne was feeling queezy after blowing up all the balloons, but always puts on a brave face. Sam just propped her up. Grace hauled tables…
Hi there! Thanks for stopping by! We are chasing our tails here today, getting ready for the Clarity Open Days tomorrow and Saturday. What a super team I have. You should see it all going on here. From the Hi-Viz Jackets for the Car-Park attendants, to Raffle Prizes and Welcome Signs; from Special Show Offers to Brand New Stencils – there is a real buzz of excitement. So I will just focus for an hour on the blogging, because not only…
Happy Wednesday Day 3 of our Gelli Plate diet! I do hope you are enjoying what is being served so far. Today, I thought I would go back to the fantastic Golden Open Paint, although this technique you could do with dye-based inks too – it just wouldn’t be as vibrant. So let’s take a look. This trick very straight forward. I have used the large 8″ x 10″ plate (special offers on all our Gelli Plates this Gelli Week)…
Hi there! Thanks for stopping by. It’s YouTube Tuesday here at Clarity, and this week we are celebrating the Gelli Plate. In fact, every day here, on this little ol’ blog, I am serving you a little ol’ treat on a Gelli Plate. I want to show you how different paints and inks work. So yesterday, we dished up Golden Open Acrylics, a rare and rather special kind of slow-drying acrylic paint. Absolutely fantastic, if you ask me. The finished…
Hello there! Thank you so much for stopping by! Sorry I’m a little late this morning; blame the M25 up to Heathrow last night. At one point, there were 8 lanes, 4 in either direction, in total gridlock. And I was looking longingly at the homeward bound side, thinking, “Great, whenever I get to Terminal 3, and pick up my baby, I can turn around, and join the back of that lot!” The only consolation was that Virgin Atlantic were backed up…
Hello ! Sunday greetings! Many, many thanks for all the best wishes for my brother Steve. He is doing great, and I am sure that very soon, the scar on his neck will just be his second smile, as a friend so nicely put it. While he was in hospital, I made a piece of artwork which kind of depicted what was going through my head at the time. See if you like it. And even if you think it’s…
