Over the Rooftops….

Over the Rooftops….

Hello there! Thanks for popping in. Thought I would catalogue one of the projects I did on Sunday afternoon; the one with our new Santa and the fabulous star corners. it’s a good one for showing off the virtues of masking,  and showcasing our Clarity Masks. Unmounted stampset Stamp Santa onto cream card using Black Archival. Stamp a frame into place with the large corner  top left and top right. Use the long holly trellis down the sides and along the…

Hospital Waiting rooms, Best wishes and Trees.

Hi there! Thanks for popping in and keeping me company.  Sitting here in the hospital, waiting for Dave while he does a treadmill test, (or hamster wheel run as he preferes to call it).  He was dusting off his trainers this morning,  all set for his strenuous endurance test.  Hopefully this exercise will give us some more clues  as to what is going on.  So I thought I would use the time wisely and write my daily blog…. Monday’s blog…

Too late tonight. The party was too much fun!!!

Hello! Too late I know. Just been running around. Joined a super surprise party for  lovely Sally and the Clarity Peterborough troop What a great crew. And the men were brilliant too! Darling Katie. I do love this young woman. In fact the whole group is pretty blimming amazing. Had the chance to set up in the TV studio tonight,  and grabbed the opportunity. Makes for a much smoother ride tomorrow morning. And before you know it, it’s nearly midnight….

DYB DYB DYB DOB DOB DOB…

Hi there! Friday evening and all is well! The TV prep is prepped, the mojo is back, the weekend is here. SPOT ON!!!! Friday’s blog a private peek? Well, last night at stupid o’clock,  we were eating sausage sandwiches with Paul Church, because we can, and were reminiscing about the good ol’ days, when people used to give us kids a tanner in London. “Tanner?” Paul looks quizzical.  Dave and I were obviously showing our age ! The conversation immediately…

A blue day…

A blue day…

Hi there, Thanks for popping in. Have been beavering away, doing prep for Sunday’s TV Shows. It was pouring outside! Which is always better than pouring inside, like last weekend! I was making backgrounds with the blending mat and dye based inks. You know the one: brayer, spritzer, clingfilm… The blending mat was full of ink too. Then it occurred to me to use the rain! Nothing like a shower to get a real even spritz! So I brayered the…

A moment of Clarity

A moment of Clarity

Hi there. Thanks for popping in. I’m glad you’re here, because I have just had a moment of clarity, if you’ll forgive the pun, and it’s important to write it down,  before I slip back into the chaos that is my life this week. I have just figured out why I actually (usually) enjoy doing art so much more nowadays than I used to. It’s because (mostly) I love my work,  also, I have (mostly) managed to evict those two pesky…

Amazing News!

Amazing News!

Hi there. Thanks for dropping by. You may already have heard our good news about Paul Church? He has finally, after much arm-twisting and cajoling, quit his city job to come and work at Clarity. Phew. Double phew! Just when I was wondering how I was actually going to cope  with the new workload, too… Nobody – and I mean NOBODY – is happier or more relieved than me to be welcoming Paul on board full time. He has been…

Straddled Writing – Inspired by Eileen.

Straddled Writing – Inspired by Eileen.

Hi there, Thanks for popping in. Rainy Monday, or what?! Had a bit of trouble finding my mojo today; in fact the harder I tried to be creative, the less success I had! I’m going to look into that. I reckon it comes more easily when you aren’t forcing it… By 5pm I was really running out of steam. But then I remembered Eileen’s fabulous, thoughtful artwork which she gave me at Ally Pally, and it was as though I…
