Introducing our new Snowflake Duets

Introducing our new Snowflake Duets

Hi there. Thanks for popping in. Paul and I are having a lovely day, prepping for the Sunday TV Show on HOCHANDA. At 6pm, I shall be launching a brand new and very clever kinda Groovi…. The Snowflake Duets. Little…. …. and Large Tina Cox designed a snowflake grid, then we wrapped a Groovi plate around it. And Hey Presto! Our Duets were born! Wait till you see what you can do with these – it’s ridiculous. The number of…

Overload

Overload

Hi there. Thanks for popping in. I went to my creative space today, but the cupboard was bare. Or should I say full? I can honestly say that my head is so full,  that there isn’t the space for anything new just now. Art yes. Business no. It’s been a gradual process, this filling up.  Many years of gathering ideas, information, knowledge, crap,  unresolved dilemmas, political debate, business deals, numbers –  an endless daily mental pummeling. There’s so much to…

How time flies when you’re having fun! A GELPRESS Step by step

Hi there. Thanks for taking the time to pop in. I’m glad you did though, because I want to show off the brand new stencil which was on offer today during Maria’s live hours on HOCHANDA. Didn’t she do well ?!?! I have been so preoccupied with the business side of the business today, I really had a hankering to get some paints out when I got home. And this new stencil.  Pocket Watch stencil Well, the whole theme of today’s…

Grateful

Grateful

Hello there. Thanks for taking some time out of your Bank Holiday Monday to pop in.  One of the TV demos on Saturday was stamping on the New Northern Lights parchment with the new Flutterby Carpe Diem Girl and my all time fave, the Fly Away Boy.… And today, I have to say, I couldn’t think of a more appropriate piece of artwork to express what I am feeling. Gratitude in spadefuls. Let me take you to Rye, where we…

Roast Lamb? Dream on!

Hi there. Thanks for popping in. Beautiful day here darn sarf. Sunday.  Early morning walk,  then breakfast on the veranda. Read the paper and drink coffee. Roast a leg of lamb slowly in the Aga. Spot of weeding in the garden, deadhead the flowers and water the hanging baskets. Reality check. Get up at 7, see Dave off to work,  and clear a space in the kitchen to erect the ironing board. Listen to Stephen Fry read me Sherlock Holmes…

Carpe Diem! A simple, EARLY step by step

Carpe Diem! A simple, EARLY step by step

Hi there! Thanks for popping in. Just got home about an hour ago, had a little catch up with Dave, and then thought I’d come upstairs to chat to you. Tell you what, I was thinking about you on the drive home. How amazing that so many of you were watching at 7 am! I asked you to join me, so I wasn’t flying solo,  but I honestly didn’t expect so many of you to actually show up! And then…

All Porky Pies…

All Porky Pies…

Hi there, Thanks for popping in. What a lovely sunny day it has been. Rosie and I have had a smashing day. Had intended to go shopping in Stamford, but the traffic headed to the Burghley Horse Trials was extreme, so we hung a left  and took the scenic route to nowhere in particular. (Dave heaves a sigh of relief) Until we saw the sign for …. MELTON MOWBRAY STOP THE CAR!! She yelled (Rosie, that is) And that was…

Two more Sleeps, and Freebies on the Horizon…

Hi there. Thanks for popping in. Right. That’s it. All packed and ready to head up to the studios, for Saturday’s Birthday shows on Hochanda. Why two days early? Well, Rosie and I are meeting today. We have booked into a lovely hotel nearby,  and we are going to have some chill time.  Nice meal, good banter and a girly day together tomorrow. I know. It’s hard, but somebody’s got to do it! Here’s a step by step, using two…

Keeping it in the Day

Keeping it in the Day

Hi there. Thanks for popping in. I am in danger of sliding out of my track today; I can feel it. You know that feeling, that anxious sense that you get when you’ve drunk too much coffee, except you haven’t drunk any? So I have to refer back to my old handbook of life,  and the first rule is: keep it in the day. Stop worrying about tomorrow. Just do today today. And instantly, I feel less anxious. Not that…

When the Sun met the Moon…

Hi there. Thank you for dropping in. It’s late. The Moon is up already. Been a long day, prepping for the TV shows on Saturday. Not long now, before we get to release  our new Designer paper and Parchment.  Saturday 7am HOCHANDA! I don’t think we will sell out. Well not at 7am! Who watches at 7 o’clock in the morning?! But if you do, and we do,  I’ll send you a postcard from wherever we jet off to with the proceeds…
