Hello there! Thank you for stopping by. It’s Monday, and oh boy! Have I got my work cut out for me this week! The only way, and I mean the ONLY way,  to work through this lot is  one day at a time. In fact, all I have to do today is get through today,  do as much as I can, as well as I can. Then tomorrow, I’ll carry on. So first things first: BLOG. Monday’s Blog is Trees…

Little windows…

Little windows…

Good morning Sunday! Glorious sunshine outside my window here;  the trees are just starting to change colour. Thought I’d use a stencil and make another little window…. Decided to use some water-colour paper. This makes the end result really soft when you work with dye-based inks.  And the Abstract Stencil; loads of windows! So I have cut the water-colour paper to 7″x7″ to fit the stencil,  and taped it to a piece of copy paper. I know, Christmas seems miles…

Let it dry between layers!

Let it dry between layers!

Hello there! Thanks for stopping by. We’re in Rye with my folks,  so here’s one I prepared before we left! I had hoped to upload some pics for today’s private peek, but it can wait till I get to a proper computer! x I wanted to use the Clock Stencil and see if I could leave the paint to dry on the Gelli plate whilst adding layers. Saturday’s blog a new technique. To who? To me ? To you?  Clock…

Sleepy Hollow…

Sleepy Hollow…

Hello there. Thanks for stopping by. Thursday’s blog is something blue. So here’s a Gelli Plate background,  using the Snowflake stencils and some acrylic paint. A year ago, if anybody had said this was worth hanging on to and not for the bin, I would have begged to differ! In the meantime, either my eyesight is on the blink, or I have grasped that white areas and tatty bits are brilliant. Well, on gelli plate art at least.  I’m developing…

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by. Wednesday’s blog is something new, so today I have decided to let my hair down, throw caution to the wind, paint at the wall,  and be Sam Crowe for a day! Sam is a lovely, creative, very arty VERY MESSY good friend, and valued Clarity Team Member. Here she is, deciding whether to bother using a spatula  with the Grunge paste, or just dump the pot on the card…  So I thought I would…

Monday Down Time on a new art-track…

Hello there. Thanks for stopping by. Having a day off, doing a bit of artwork and clearing the head  after the Ally Pally exhibition this weekend. Met up with loads of old crafty friends, met lots of new ones, too. Made a stack of artwork, and gave most of it away. I asked these good ladies to pose for this Monday blog and said that this piece would do for Monday’s art! And I suppose it would, except I really…

Never forget….

Never forget….

Hello there. Thanks for stopping by! It’s Day 2 of the Ally Pally Show today, so I am up at the crack of sparrows here in my lovely lofty art room above the garage,  enjoying the cool morning air, before we go back into the sauna that is Ally Pally. It was way too hot for this old bird yesterday. Once they opened the big doors underneath the Rose Window it cooled down, but by that time I had pretty…
