The Pergamano Summer School

The Pergamano Summer School

Hi everyone, Paul here. Standing in for Barb whilst she is off seeing a man about a dog! I hope you are all well and staying safe. I thought this would be a perfect opportunity for me to shout about an amazing idea that Barb & Linda Williams came up with at the weekend! If you tuned into this weeks Groovi Tuesday on Facebook earlier today, you will have heard the news, but if you didn’t………. let me tell you…

Sitting at the back.

Sitting at the back.

Hi there Thanks for popping in. What a strange world we live in. I just attended a funeral online. Sat at the back, here alone in front of my computer, with a bunch of friends who were also sat at the back in their respective homes, in front of their computers. We were all there to support a dear friend who recently lost her husband. It’s uncanny actually. That you can be hundreds of miles away, and yet be there,…

What’s the Story, Morning Glory?

What’s the Story, Morning Glory?

Hi there. Thanks for popping in. Day 4 of our Jackanory Week. So what’s the story, Morning Glory? I looked up the meaning of that expression, which I have heard and used all my life. It simply means asking a flower what their tale is early in the morning. Today’s story is about Linda Williams and a few good friends. If you read this blog often, you will know that Linda and I are firm friends. I often talk about…

Prince Albert?! It’s not what you think!

Prince Albert?! It’s not what you think!

Hi there Thanks for popping in. I remember the first time I found out what a Prince Albert was (look it up if you’re in the dark); I was suitably stunned. Well I’ll go to the bottom of the stairs! kinda stunned. I mean, it’s one thing getting your ears pierced, but this stunt will really REALLY make your eyes water! And since then, whenever Prince Albert comes up in dialogue, my head takes me right back to standing outside…

All good things take time…

All good things take time…

Hi there Thanks for popping in. A while ago, Linda Williams asked us to consider adding Rainbow Parchment to our range. A4 Rainbow parchment. So I spoke to Jim at work, who came up with a whole collection of lovely colourways. Those designs went to our printer, who then got to work on the prototypes. It’s always a BIG DAY when prototypes land back at Clarity Towers. This is when we get a proper wet proof of what the parchment…

Blue skies …

Blue skies …

Hi there Thanks for popping in. Lovely day here today! Blue skies and white, billowy pillow clouds. The birds are twittering and chatting away to each other, and the new, bright green shoots on the trees are swaying to the gentle breeze. Everything is coming alive. And it’s good to be alive. I won’t stay long. Feeling a little under par. Had my second jab this afternoon, and I sure doesknow it. Still. It certainly beats the alternative, and I…

Spot On!

Spot On!

Hi there Thanks for popping in! Good news! Our Spot – On Sponges were delivered at Clarity today! I never thought I’d jump for joy when a consignment of glorified make-up sponges landed – but WOOHOO!!! I can finally stop washing the tired old ones I’ve got left. I actually found half a pack buried in a box at the back of a drawer in the SHAC at the weekend when I was cleaning – you’d have thought I’d found…

Stop and smell the Bluebells.

Stop and smell the Bluebells.

Hi there Thanks for popping in. Long walk through the bluebells this evening, to clear the head. Freshly rained on, beautiful blue carpet, amazing scent! We followed the path, and went where it took us… Listened to a cuckoo, and met with a couple of deer, too. In fact, more deer than humans, which was quite refreshing. On the subject of wonderful nature, I had been working on some new clay tiles in the morning, experimenting with black iron oxide….

Forgotmesarnies!

Forgotmesarnies!

Hi there Thanks for popping in! Isn’t it frustrating when you get up especially early, make not one but two rounds of sandwiches to take to work – and then leave them on the counter in the kitchen. Ahh… but what sweet relief when the wife calls and says she’s bringing them to the factory on her way to a meeting. Lucky Dave. Lucky for him I don’t like salad cream! And I’m trying to lay off the bread, so…
