Hi there. Late I know. But I got carried away with the Grunge paste and the elephant! This Elephant stencil was a New Design Club Stencil a couple of months ago. A particularly good one I thought. This evening, after a lovely day with my parents and Dave, I thought I would get my glass paints out after at least a year, and have a play before back-to-work-Monday. Grunge Paste through the stencil first. 8″ x 8″ Canvas Board. It’s…
Hello there! Thanks for dropping in. This time last week, we were just winding up the final session of our Clarity retreats for 2015. It seems like months ago! What does that signify I wonder, when a week seems like a month… So I decided today, to make a Thank You card for all those of you who came to Crowborough. You brought so much enthusiasm and creative energy with you! You handed out kindness and generosity in spadefuls; You embraced…
Hi there, Thanks for dropping in! Friday’s blog a private peek. So follow me. Things are just about to hot up a bit, so close your eyes, hold my hand so you don’t trip! Upstairs we go….into the bedroom. Ready? You can open your eyes now: Yep. A teasmade. And you were expecting a tease maid! Not today anyway!! You see, we have always had a pleasant morning ritual, which involved dear Dave getting up at 6am and bringing a…
Hello there. Thanks for popping in. What about those thunder storms then?! Now that’s what I call rain!! No wonder our little island is so lush and verdant! With that in mind, I thought I would bring out one of the Countryside Round Stamps and use it for a little arty project this evening. NAPA VALLEY Mind you, Thursday’s blog is something blue, so less of the green here! Stamp the Round onto Kraft card using black Archival ink. Do…
Hi there. Thanks for making the time to pop in. Mindful Wednesday today…. Let me tell you about my day yesterday, because it is quite pertinent. In fact, let me tell you the day’s story. I shall pretend I was an observer, just watching, if that’s ok. She showered and put on her best dress. Dark one, quite sombre. Fitting for the occasion. She hunted around for Sally SatNav to help her, because she had made a decision: to take…
Hi there! Thanks for popping in! Sorry. It didn’t stretch to YouTubes this week. But next week I shall be back in the saddle again. However, I do know that a lot of people have been waiting for this Groovi little Tree to become available. Groovi Christmas Tree In fact, it was so well received, I called Sylvia Marshall – our Clarity Parchment Expert Extraordinaire – who designed the tree. “Sylvia”, I said, “how about a heart like the tree?”…
Hello there! Thanks for popping in… Last week during the Crowborough retreats, we were walking the brayer through acrylic paint, and rolling off any excess paint onto a sheet of copy paper.Remember? And I said I’d blog the scrap! Ready? The first thing is to stare at the scrap until it speaks to you. This could take a while…. Do you see what I see? Squint. It always helps. Fantastic! Perfect! Out with the Tall Trees stamp. Pick a perfect…
Hello there! Thanks for popping in on this sunny Sunday. What a lovely day we have had here in the south! Poodled around the house, sat in the garden, just generally kicked back. Oh. Hang on! Also caught up on laundry, went grocery shopping and cooked breakfast and lunch. My idea of poodled isn’t that poodled really…. Anyhow, I thought I would just post a little step by step project for you. Nothing special. Just a little stencil something. I like…
Hi there. Thanks for stopping by for this last Groovi Day! I just wanted to say thanks for all the feedback on the Groovi week and the orders – the machines have been on overdrive trying to keep up with the demand! And I want to thank my dear friend, Paul Church, for prepping this blog for me, so that I would have an evening off. How kind is that?! Below is another Groovi set – Three Doves and Sprig…
Hi there! Thanks for popping in. Lots of lovely, talented ladies at the retreat again today; it was great fun and I think they all had a good time. But I’m starting to feel my age, have eaten way too much – and that bed is definitely calling my name! Actually, Friday’s blog a private peak, right? Well to be honest, I could really do with a good laugh. All this worrying about Dave, and not being able to do anything is…
