Dream Believe Hope

Dream Believe Hope

Hi there Thanks for popping in. Had a hankering to make something arty, after cleaning up the mess a certain cat with a dodgy leg made today (Grrrr. Little git. I know he’s bored because he can’t go outside yet, but I really hadn’t expected to spend half a day mopping up after him!). Want to know the best bit? He actually HID behind his brother when I came flying down the stairs to find him!! Honestly, it’s like having…

Heads up! Mixed Media Material Sale on Aisle 3!!

Hi there Thanks for popping in. It’s a sunny Sunday morning here in East Sussex, and there’s a pretty keen sale on the Claritycrafts website (until midnight tomorrow). In the run up to GRAY FRIDAY, we’ve been shining a light on various aisles at Clarity Towers, and this weekend we’re taking a look down Aisle 3 – The Mixed Media section. This is where we store paints, pastes, inks, brushes, canvas boards – and all those wonderful craft products which…

Grandparents are Precious

Grandparents are Precious

Hi there! Thanks again for joining me. Took the kids over to Oma and Grandad’s this morning, had some of Oma’s good ol’ German potato soup, and left them there. They wanted to spend the weekend with their grandparents,  which I think is pretty special, don’t you? Just like the good old days, when I used to drop them off with Mum and Dad, so that I could go do a show, an exhibition or a workshop. So here I…

Introducing our new ClarityStamp Collection, and a project for you to try.

Happy Monday! Thanks for popping in. And thank you for watching and supporting us  on HOCHANDA TV yesterday and today. I have loved it. Really. If you missed the shows, and you would like to have watched them, you can always play catch up on their website. Here is the demo I did last night,  to launch our lovely new Woodland Stamp collection. I appreciate that several of our blog friends live in other countries, or simply don’t do TV!…

Waste? I think not !!! A Stamp and Paper step by step x

Waste? I think not !!! A Stamp and Paper step by step x

Hi there. Thanks for popping in. Let’s talk Background Designer papers and stamps today. The 4 books we launched in January have definitely hit the spot.  Get the set or buy them individually. If you’re anything like me, you hand on to every little piece and sliver. Can’t bear to throw it away, right? All those bits and pieces lend themselves perfectly to some layering, paper piecing…. We just need a starting point, and this lovely large Claritystamp will do…

Colouring pencils meet parchment….

Hi there. Thanks for popping in. What a busy GRAY SALE weekend it has been! I’ve been cracking up reading all the comments you have been posting, about beans on toast till Christmas. Somebody is opening up a help group for those of you  who are willing to admit you are powerless over Groovi. Somebody else suggested we open up another area on the new website where we should sell baked beans, bread, milk and teabags, so you can order…

Eeek! There’s a spider in the Corner!

Eeek! There’s a spider in the Corner!

Helloooo… Do come in. I know it’s rather spooky. Amazing what you can do with our Town stencil,  a dose of Grunge Paste and a bit of acrylic paint… The sequence is worth noting. 1.Cover the card with paint by walking the brayer all over, left to right mostly. 2. Drag some Grunge paste through a portion of the stencil, in from the bottom, letting it fade as it gets to the rooftops. 3. Once the paste has set, walk…

Make your own Ink Pads

Make your own Ink Pads

Hello there! Thanks for popping in. Saturday’s blog a new technique, eh? To who? To you ? To me? Sometimes I think we are galloping forward at such a speed,  looking for new things, that we forget some of the special tricks we discovered a while back. This one for example: Ranger Distress Inks used to paint a stamp. Making our own ink palette to fit the stamp. Let’s take a closer look… Are you familiar with our Garden Heart…

Tuesday and time for a little Reflection…

Hi there! Thanks for popping in! And thanks to Paul for holding the Bloggy Fort  in my absence yesterday. Got back from the Fatherland yesterday evening and was very happy to sleep in my own bed. The hotel room in Frankfurt was so blimming warm!! Windows open – City of sirens. Windows closed – Schvetty Barbie. Woke up this morning with this picture in my head,  and decided to blog it. So here’s a simple step by step project for…

A Gaggle of Geese and the Dentist!

A Gaggle of Geese and the Dentist!

Hi there! Thanks for popping in. I’m going to write really fast now,  because the anesthetic is wearing off. I’m one of those foolish people who avoids the dentist for a decade and then wonders why they’re starting to get wobbly! (my teeth, not the dentist). He’s a lovely bloke, but I dread going to see him. Anyway, let’s change the subject… I have a couple of cool things to show you,  before I crawl under the duvet and stay…
