A Canvas Board covered with Scrap. I said SCRAP!!!

A Canvas Board covered with Scrap. I said SCRAP!!!

Hello there! Thanks for popping in today. I spent a quiet and very pleasant afternoon  fiddling around in my artroom, being creative. Decided to set myself a challenge  and use an old scrap to make a canvas. You’ve got to admit, it doesn’t get much scrappier than this!! Continues undeterred… Decides to wrap the A4 scrap around the A5 canvas. (Say that three times fast when you’ve had a sherry!) Got to be glued. Mod Podge is great for that….

Little Annabel.

Little Annabel.

Hello there. Thanks for popping in today! Is it as warm where you are as it is here? Best stay in the shade with a cold drink. But I had a hankering to do something different today. After all the excitement yesterday,  all your lovely comments and  the huge Hochanda coverage, I really needed to get grounded, Come back down to earth. So I retreated into my art room and dug out – wait for it – some Shrink Plastic !…

The Greatest Show On Earth

The Greatest Show On Earth

Hi there. Welcome to our Mindful Wednesday group! I could do with a therapy session today! Doesn’t a day seem longer when you wake up at 3am! By lunchtime today, I felt as though I had pulled a double shift! That old washing machine head of mine started churning, decided to get everything out of the wardrobe and give it a rinse. Old stuff, new stuff. Went into spin mode,  woke up ALL the sleeping trolls who live rent-free in…

On Tuesdays please let me do as I please.

Hello there. Thanks for dropping in. I am glad you did, because I have been doing a lot of thinking, and wanted to share what’s going on with you. When Dave got ill recently,  I went into robot mode, or coping mode, as many of us do. Went through the motions of work, kept going, faking it to make it, etc. etc. etc. Cancelled what obligations I could,  and honoured any commitments I couldn’t. A month on, Dave is feeling much…

Abstract Art Week…

Abstract Art Week…

Hello! Thanks for popping in. I spent the day designing and developing new stamp sets, which was all very nice. But I started also thinking about all the fabby designs which I loved at the time, but which have been forgotten, neglected, left in a cupboard to gather dust….ahhhhh. These for example: the Abstract Art Framers  and the magnifying glass. Many years ago, when I concocted these,  they were the cat’s whiskers!  To me, they were and still are the…

Elephants never forget….

Elephants never forget….

Hi there. Late I know. But I got carried away with the Grunge paste and the elephant! This Elephant stencil was a New Design Club Stencil a couple of months ago. A particularly good one I thought. This evening, after a lovely day with my parents and Dave,  I thought I would get my glass paints out after at least a year,  and have a play before back-to-work-Monday.  Grunge Paste through the stencil first. 8″ x 8″ Canvas Board. It’s…

Hello there! Thanks for dropping in. This time last week, we were just winding up the final session  of our Clarity retreats for 2015. It seems like months ago! What does that signify I wonder,  when a week seems like a month… So I decided today, to make a Thank You card for all those of you who came to Crowborough.  You brought so much enthusiasm and creative energy with you! You handed out kindness and generosity in spadefuls; You embraced…
