Bloggy Blitz Sale Day 2 – Bottled Inks etc

Bloggy Blitz Sale Day 2 – Bottled Inks etc

Hi there! Thanks for popping in again. Wow! You certainly found the flakes and pastes yesterday! How interesting it is to see how many more of us are stretching ourselves in the mixed media world, trying new things. There’s something very freeing about just going with the arty process, isn’t there? And I’ve learned not to be so judgemental of my own work, too. Right. Day 2 in the Clarity House, and what’s on offer for 24 hours? WOOHOO!! My…

In late.

In late.

Hi there. Thanks for popping in. Bit of a runaround today. Made an early dash for Gillingham, before the traffic congestion clogged up all our Kentish arteries, in good time for a hearty breakfast with my parents. Went with Mum and Dad to Macknades, Faversham, because we do like a destination when we take a drive out. Macknades: excellent, BOOMING farmshop. A lovely and very different selection of fresh produces and delicacies. Bit like Fortnum & Masons came to Kent,…

It’s Wheelie Exciting!

It’s Wheelie Exciting!

Hi there! Thanks for popping in. It’s pottery this afternoon, so I’ve been obsessing about what to do. Christmas is looming, want to make gifts – so I’m going on the wheel today. It’s by far the fastest way forward. And now I’ve learned how to use a bat as well, my olive dishes have turned into salad bowls! Well, let’s say cereal bowls… look? See these little diddy ones? So that was pretty exciting, even to get to that…

Under the Sea with Dee!

Hi there. Thanks for popping in. Finally, what so many of you have been waiting for! Dee Fitzsimmons has made some new friends, and they’re coming out to play at 6pm this evening on HOCHANDA! Dee will be inspiring you with wonderful colouring techniques and real art from the soul, and my dear friend Paul will be holding Dee’s hand throughout the 5 hours, adding his own flavour to her art, too. The stamps are being made as we speak,…

A Royal Greeter…

Hi there Day 3 at the NEC, and blogging on my Phone in the middle of nowhere is proving beyond me. No internet to speak of. And my eyes keep shutting! Another very busy day. Loads of familiar faces and old friends. Here‘s a lovely lady, who has been by the front door all week: So much to see here! So much to admire! The knitted Queen is pretty epic! If you had to give her a caption, what would…

2 down – 2 to go!

2 down – 2 to go!

Hi there! Greetings from the NEC. Bumped into a few friends, as you can see. A right old motley crew!!!! Busy, bustling day on the Clarity Stand. While Paul pedals away at one end, showing off the Groovi system, I’m ploughing my way through the new bauble stamps, even did some shrink plastic with the heat-gun. Great fun!!! Time to go out for a nice meal. There’s a great restaurant in Meridan called The Barn. Great food. Nice ambience….Taking Norma…

One down, three to go!

One down, three to go!

Hi there! Thanks for popping in. Just got back to Norma‘s, where we stay whenever we do the NEC show. It‘s like home from home. Just perfect. Over the years, Norma has become a dear friend. She makes us so very welcome, and is such a wonderful woman. Not a mean bone in her body, as they say. A hardworking farmer and smashing human being – that‘s Norma. And she makes the best full English ever! Sets you up for…

It’s a Scramble!

It’s a Scramble!

Hi there. Thanks for popping in. Mega scramble here this morning. Piling more stash than I will ever be able to demo this side of the General Election (Ugh) into boxes, ready to add to the van for the NEC set-up. Have also packed enough clobber to last till Christmas, should I feel the urge to stay in Birmingham! So yeah. Carefully mapped out strategy, to be employed over the next 5 days. It’s an old favourite of mine. See…

High Spirits…

Hi there Thanks for popping in. Woke up happy today. The sun is shining, the birds are all in the garde on the feeders for breakfast – and life is good. Paul is back from his holiday safe and sound, so I’ve got my buddy back too. Before he gets here, to help finalise the notes and prep for the shows, I thought I’d show you what I’ve been up to! No pottery this week – half term. But. I…
