Ho Ho Ho! Thanks for popping in. Are you all set for Christmas? Tree all lit up and lovely? Made all your cards? Sent them all? Bought all your presents? Wrapped them and put them under the tree? Sent gifts and cards to friends abroad in good time? Well hoo blimmin ray! I can add a big fat NOPE to every one of those. Here in Barbieland, things aren’t going quite as planned. What happened to the week in between…
How about a trad stamping scene using Jayne’s wonderful Winter Scene stamps? Let’s use the coated Claritycard, A5. Run lowtack tape around the edges for a frame and add a large moon mask. Load your brayer with Blue Chase Artistry ink and roll the sky into place. Add some more Blue Chase Artistry ink to your blending mat and ink up the stamp directly from the mat. This will give you a more subtle image. Good idea, especially when working…
Hi there. Thanks for popping in today. It’s been a cold, wet day here. Attended the funeral of a dear friend’s Mum. It was actually – dare I say it – a lovely funeral, followed by an excellent afternoon. Ran out of hours in the day for getting arty today, but then I remembered a superb piece of artwork which another Barbara – Barbara Lancaster – created for the TV show. It didn’t get shown on telly because the camera…
Hi there! Sunny Sunday down here! Went to Brighton for the day and had a lovely mooch through the lanes with Dave. Got a couple of gifts and soaked up the atmosphere. If you’ve never been to Brighton, put it on your Places-to-visit list. It is fabulous. SO ARTY!!!!! I’ve come away wanting to get out my sewing machine, start painting, get into mixed media and buy a kiln! Anyway… Here’s a quick step-by-step i did last week, showing off…
Hi there! Thanks for popping in. It’s been a good Saturday here. I have cleaned the house from top to bottom. Boring for some – enjoyable for me, but that’s primarily down to the fact that I don’t do it very often! (The housework that is!) I had planned on putting up some decorations, but upon closer inspection, the place was looking pretty skanky. So I decided to give it a White Tornado blitz before throwing Christmas at it! Now…
Ho ho ho! Thanks for dropping in! Friday’s blog a private peek, right? Well, here’s what I would call a super day off…. After yesterday’s bumper to bumper traffic fiasco up to Coventry and back, (which incidentally, was worth every single minute) I decided to get up at the crack of sparrows, beat the traffic and get over to my parents’ place in Gillingham before the M25 woke up. Brilliant plan; shot over to the Medway towns in no time….
Hi there. Thanks for popping in. Just got in from our visit with Jayne. Yes, we did have a good talk, and a good laugh, and a good hug. She was visibly worn out when we left, but I think she thoroughly enjoyed looking at all the lovely artwork that the Clarity team made with her art. “I want to look at every single one,” she said. And we did. She was really, genuinely chuffed. We spent a few happy…
Hi there. Thanks for popping in today. Wednesday’s blog is where we consider matters of the soul. Well, today I want to talk to you about Jayne. Lovely Jayne Nestorenko. We spent a brilliant day with her and her good friend Helene a couple of weeks ago. She’s not well at all, and is clearly in a lot of pain. But oh boy! Did we have a laugh. She always did have a dry sense of humour! And Helene? Well,…
Hi there. Thanks for popping in. I have to tell you, I have had the most splendid day at work. Just excellent. Bit late getting out of the door, but hey! What’s new? I want to ask you to bear with us if you are waiting on your Gray Friday Sale order. We have been going like the clappers, but the Jayne Nestorenko stamp sales caught us by surprise, and those big frames are slowing down production considerably. Please be…
