Move in a little closer…

Hi there, Thanks for popping in. Big Day today. The Tinker’s Pottery Studio is ready to use. Wheel’s in, kiln’s in, electric’s in, water’s in – and we have lift off!!!!!!! So excited. Dave is a star. Tomorrow he’ll put a few more shelves in – a pottery needs lotsnlotsa shelves, and a workbench island. And then we are set! I’ve already got those little pots drying out a little, so I shall go downstairs in a bit and finish…

Pop a poppet in your basket!

Pop a poppet in your basket!

Hi there Thanks for popping in. A different kind of session in the SHACK SHAC today, but I think our Shack friends enjoyed it. I certainly did! I so seldom get time to complete a project live – we are always galloping on to the next new thing, when really we should be figuring out how to finish the project in front of us! So cool to actually stay on the bus until the end of the track for once!…

Boxes of Cards

Boxes of Cards

Hi there Thanks for popping in. You may recall some time ago we celebrated Send a Card Week. We all made a card (or several) and sent them to Clarity HQ. Oh boy! Did we get a lot of cards sent! Fancy asking hundreds of card makers to send a card and expect any less! Just take a look …. Well, we started sorting through them, adding envelopes and putting them in polybags, ready for charities and hospices to sell…

Oh to gaze upon a Panorama!

Oh to gaze upon a Panorama!

Hi there, Thanks for popping in. From where I’m sitting right now, the outlook is beautiful. No panorama, but lots of lovely treetops swaying in the breeze, against a blue sky backdrop with cotton wool clouds. Sometimes, we are so intent on experiencing fabulous, jaw droppingly amazing panoramas, that we miss the loveliness in front of us. Well, the fact of the matter is that right now, today, not many of us can go out in search of that euphoric…

Quiet time, down time.

Quiet time, down time.

Hi there, Thanks for popping in. After a busy morning at work, it was down time this afternoon, colouring time, prep time for tomorrow morning’s SHAC. I have enjoyed this one. You know you are enjoying it when you want to do it again, but differently. So tomorrow we tackle the frame. I kept it very simple and colourful. The picture is so busy, I thought it best to go vanilla on the outside! Well, colourful vanilla. I can’t be…

Imagination

Imagination

Hi there. Thanks for popping in. Had a little revelation yesterday. As I mentioned, went out to work really early when it was dark, and drove straight into a flash flood. I tell you this, not to get a pat on the back for going into work early on a Sunday morning with Paul, Jilly, Leanne and Brother Steve (although a pat on the back feels good from time to time!). I tell you about my drive into work because…

Eel plurt bow coo oh jaw dwee!

Hi there! Thanks for dropping in. It’s been tipping down here in the southeast ! Stair rods, cats n dogs. I set off for work really early this morning, and it was fine. Dark, but dry. Then about 10 minutes into the drive, it came down out of nowhere – like a torrent. Couldn’t see the road for rain. Proper flash flood. The last time I experienced rain like that was in Atlantic City on the east coast of the…

Ahhh Jayne….

Ahhh Jayne….

Hi there Thanks for popping in. Just clearing away the wreckage in my little artroom from 3 hours of live Skype TV – …and Jayne is on my mind. Darling Jayne Nestorenko. Wouldn’t she have been chuffed to bits to know that her stamps sold out again. Why wouldn’t they? It’s not hard to make masterpieces with this art! Jayne’s Small Winter Scenes Collection Here’s a simple sample I made during the 1pm Show. Nothing but a black ink pad,…

What’s coming up?

What’s coming up?

Hi there Thanks for popping in. Bit of a scramble here, prepping for LIVE TV on HOCHANDA tomorrow. 11am 1pm and 3pm. whilst stopping to cuddle the kittens. Quite a lot…. Then I stopped and looked at the designs in front of me, properly looked. 11am and 3pm I am showing off exquisite illustrations by clever Mel Turner: the Treescape and the Town Houses; two of our best selling, most popular designs, converted to clever 3-way overlays. So cool to…

Blue

Blue

Hi there Thanks for popping in. Thursday’s blog is always blue, right? Blue. Do you like the colour blue? There are so many variations of blue though! Our school uniform at Fort Pitt Grammar School was a Royal blue, so I was cured of that colour for a while after wearing it every day for 5 years! Ironically, our Clarity livery is a bright bold blue – just a little darker than our old blazers! If I had to match…
