Get out of your Dandelion head…

Get out of your Dandelion head…

Hi there Thanks for popping in. It’s been a busy day today, ticking lots of boxes and putting things in place for Dad’s celebration send off. So much to consider, so much to think about. Couldn’t sit still this afternoon either. Blitzed the kitchen, made it all lovely. And now I feel the need to go out and make some art with last week’s Design of the Week Abstract Dandelions stampset, before the price changes and a new design takes…

Dream Believe Hope

Dream Believe Hope

Hi there Thanks for popping in. Had a hankering to make something arty, after cleaning up the mess a certain cat with a dodgy leg made today (Grrrr. Little git. I know he’s bored because he can’t go outside yet, but I really hadn’t expected to spend half a day mopping up after him!). Want to know the best bit? He actually HID behind his brother when I came flying down the stairs to find him!! Honestly, it’s like having…

A Scrapart Print Step-by-Step

Hi there, Thanks for popping in! So glad you like those Chinese Lanterns we showcased today! Here’s a photo step by step of the afternoon canvas! When our Sam was on the telly the other week, I snaffled a couple of the painty copy paper prints she pulled on the day. What great backdrops they make! Can you see her Mixed Impressions Stamps in the prints? Here goes: Stamp with black Archival ink. Cover with the stencil and pad Versamark…

Trip down Memory Lane…

Trip down Memory Lane…

Hi there, Thanks for popping in. All systems go here, so if I want to calm it Kermit, it’s always best to hide away and get arty for an hour. When I lose myself in being arty-crafty, that washing machine head of mine stops spinning, the voices shut up telling me what to think, and I actually seem leave the vortex that is my life at the moment, and just focus happily on whatever it is I am making. So…

Happy Joyous & Free

Hi there, Thanks for popping in. Sunday’s blog a step by step and typical Gray, right? So before we trundle off to Ditton, to set up for the retreat week ahead, I thought I’d do a few warm up exercises, limber up as it were! It’s about time I got my all time ever favourite stamp out of the cupboard. Poor lad; he’s been feeling neglected…. And whilst we’re getting out the faves, how about the hills and moons masks?…

Grandparents are Precious

Grandparents are Precious

Hi there! Thanks again for joining me. Took the kids over to Oma and Grandad’s this morning, had some of Oma’s good ol’ German potato soup, and left them there. They wanted to spend the weekend with their grandparents,  which I think is pretty special, don’t you? Just like the good old days, when I used to drop them off with Mum and Dad, so that I could go do a show, an exhibition or a workshop. So here I…

Colouring pencils meet parchment….

Hi there. Thanks for popping in. What a busy GRAY SALE weekend it has been! I’ve been cracking up reading all the comments you have been posting, about beans on toast till Christmas. Somebody is opening up a help group for those of you  who are willing to admit you are powerless over Groovi. Somebody else suggested we open up another area on the new website where we should sell baked beans, bread, milk and teabags, so you can order…

Home Sweet Home….a Gelpress step by step

Hi there! Thanks for popping in. Had a hankering to get my Gel Plate out and play with some paint. The little Petites are great,  but sometimes you just need a bigger one! So out with the 6″ x 6″  Wasn’t sure where to begin, but I do like our Wee Houses Stamps. and our Wee Shops So let’s use them! Especially because they come with masks, and we need masks for this trick! Stamp out a row of houses…

Eeek! There’s a spider in the Corner!

Eeek! There’s a spider in the Corner!

Helloooo… Do come in. I know it’s rather spooky. Amazing what you can do with our Town stencil,  a dose of Grunge Paste and a bit of acrylic paint… The sequence is worth noting. 1.Cover the card with paint by walking the brayer all over, left to right mostly. 2. Drag some Grunge paste through a portion of the stencil, in from the bottom, letting it fade as it gets to the rooftops. 3. Once the paste has set, walk…
