Hi there Thanks for popping in. First Clarity TV shows of the New Year today on HOCHANDA! Here are the times: 2-4pm, then 6-7pm and 8-9pm. Tomorrow bright and early again at 8-9am. 12-1pm and 4-5pm. And don’t forget, there’s a cheeky little SHAC-Shac LIVE on Facebook squeezed in there at 10am. All set for a busy couple of hours this afternoon! I hope you like the new Happy Alphabet stamps and Groovi. What’s not to like though! Let’s take…
Happy New Year !!! I won’t keep you long. Just wanted to thank you for all your loyal support and custom throughout what was a very challenging 2020. Past tense. Done. Finished. Gone. There have been a lot of positives too. If you’re reading this blog, then you made it!! A lot of people didn’t. That’s the truth of it. So with that in mind, let’s keep smiling, and let’s keep going. New year, new start, new beginnings. New Year’s…
Hi there Thanks for popping in. Just when you thought you could switch the lights off in the SHAC, and call it a day for the last time in 2020 – the lights switched themselves off! Oh dear. I called Paul at work, and explained that we had a situation Houston, so he came over. Then Dave came home too and joined in. They both climbed around, checking fuses, changing fuses, swopping kettle plugs, changing sockets, process of elimination and…
Hi there Thanks for popping in. Been thinking about attention to detail. Paying attention to detail when you craft. When you stop thinking about what you are producing, what it will be like when it’s finished, and instead you get absorbed in the detail, in the minutiae – that’s when you are IN the process, IN the art. And that’s the bit I love the best. Sometimes I will spend hours doing something so seemingly insignificant in the bigger picture…
Hi there Thanks for popping in. Hope you are safe? Now I have to add dry too. Hope you are safe and dry. This is certainly a challenge isn’t it?! Just when you accept the situation, the goal posts get moved again. Very, very uncertain and worrying times for sure. And I do believe the layers and layers of issues, too many to even contemplate in one little blog ere, are just too much to digest for the average human….
Happy Boxing Day! Thanks for popping in. Made the fatal mistake of waking up to the Radio 4 News at 7am. Don’t know which was worse: setting the alarm to go off at stupid o’clock when a lie in would have worked too, or tuning in to the catastrophic state of global affairs before I’d even had a cuppa or brushed my teeth! Either way, my path to happy destiny was way off kilter by the time I got downstairs….
Hi there. Thanks for popping in. Happy Christmas! Been doing pottery most of today. It’s quite romantic really. You see, at one end of the garage I have my pottery studio, and at the other end Dave has his woodturning lathe. And so we spent the day together, he making sawdust, and I glazing pots. Certainly different to Christmasses past. Quieter for sure! That’s okay too. Usually I’m chasing my tail, in full throttle. We’ve always got a full house;…
Hi there Thanks for popping in. You may have seen the Youtube with the Nordic Lady who builds a Christmas Tree out of her hair? Very, very funny. Anyway, I showed Grace – she who has really massive hair – and she decided to have a go. Ready? Hang on! Tinsel!!! This is what we do. Spend time together on Facetime. It’s the next best thing to being together. Yesterday evening we chatted away for an hour while I made…
Hi there Thanks for popping in. Been playing in the Pottalot Studio pretty much all day. It’s been a learning day. Figuring things out, so I can decorate the virgin batch which came out of the kin last weekend! First thing I did was mix up hugs batches of glaze in big buckets. Just whites and clears. They have to sit for a day now, so tomorrow I can crack on with glazing. I did paint some Botz ready mixed…
Hi there Thanks for popping in. Good to have your company again. Just came out of the Live SHAC Shac, and am heading over to my parents with their Christmas Shopping. Bit early I know, but yesterday evening was the closest delivery slot to Christmas I could get. Blimey! We will have eaten it all by the 24th!!! I made a good start on it yesterday evening anyway; had to make room in the freezer!! Milk’s good for you, right?…
