Bittuvascramble

Bittuvascramble

Hi there Sorry I’ve been AWOL. It’s a bit of a scramble right now, friends. Since Create & Craft folded, we have been pedal to the metal here at Clarity! Firstly, we had to focus all our attention and transfer all our energy to our own little TV channel, in a bid to keep going. If you are on Facebook at all, you will have seen that loads of suppliers and presenters were on the move almost instantly. Totally get…

New Tree stamps and Landscape masks

New Tree stamps and Landscape masks

Hi there After the SHAC this morning, where we taped together two pencils and went 3-D on a treble clef (don’t ask!), I spent the day alone in the workshop store room at Clarity, where we keep all the craft stash we use at retreats and courses. You know, ink pads, brayers, blending mats, pens etc etc Why? Because Linda and I are each hosting a one-day class the Sunday after the Open Days, and while Paul gets Linda’s materials…

NEW ONLINE WORKSHOP AVAILABLE NOW

NEW ONLINE WORKSHOP AVAILABLE NOW

Hi there If you joined me for the Mixed media Craftalong yesterday evening, THANK YOU! I hope it was interesting? Like I said, it’s all about the sequence and knowing your material – how much you need, and how fast it dries. Well, that aside, if you were there, you will already have heard the good news! Yep. How about a really cool afternoon online – a whole afternoon – together, making something really lovely – either for your wall,…

By George! I think this could work!!

Hi there. I’ve been having more playtime this morning, with those new landscape masks and stamps. So excited about them! The scenery masks are a game changer. I actually wish Sunday would come round faster, so I can show you!! But then again, there’s so much to do at work, I really ought not to wish the week away! Tomorrow, we are back on the SHAC-bus at 10am. Last session on the L for LOVE. The bus driver went ahead…

End of an Era?

End of an Era?

Hi there. Many of you who do Facebook will have seen all the posts yesterday, from presenters and staff at Create & Craft, that they went into administration at midnight. A blow indeed. I held back on saying anything publicly, because it was important for the staff there to receive and digest the news that they have lost their jobs. Many of these people are my friends, and I love them dearly. There are still so many unanswered questions, and…

…and we wait….

…and we wait….

Hi there. After a quick run to the doctors to get my Covid booster jab, I spent the whole day alone , doing art prep. Some for packaging on a new set of rather fabulous stencils that you will LOVE, some for Friday’s Clarity TV LIVE show at 10am and 2pm. I hope you can join me. Lots of tricks n tips! I don’t mind working alone and in silence. I get a lot done. But then the head gets…

I went to Morrisons today…

I went to Morrisons today…

Hi This morning, Dave went to work, and I decided to sort out a few domestic chores. Loaded the washing machine and the dishwasher, checked all the dates on the stuff in the fridge, threw a couple of jars of pickle away, because the date was pre-covid! And much as I often dispute the Best Before date, even I had to admit that 2019 was stretching it a bit! Then I went to Morrisons, which is not a shop I…

Agg & Wurry – DO ONE!!!

Agg & Wurry – DO ONE!!!

Hi there, When all around you are losing their rag, when things are just rubbish, and the rain is running down the windows, there are two instant tonics: https://www.facebook.com/1004431287/videos/10209485498506742 There was a big sign right next to this pink camel, that said, “strictly no climbing on the sculptures.” Whatever…we certainly got off fast when the cops turned the corner though! 😂😂😂 We couldn’t NOT climb up on it!! Well, Paul made it; I couldn’t get my leg over!! Can you…

Looking back…

Looking back…

Hi there. So how far back shall we travel on our timeline today? How about just a year? You know that line in a song, “What a difference a day makes? 24 little hours” Well, string 365 of them together, and then take a look back! According to my phone, October 8th last year was a Sunday. According to my photos, Dave and I went for a picnic up on the Ashdown Forest with his daughter Laura and the family……

A new Technique…

A new Technique…

Hi Went for our flu jab, which was pretty rapid! In one door and out the other! Literally one minute from entry to exit. God bless the NHS. Then went for an early walk up on the forest with Dave, to clear the head. Got to keep it in the day, stop projecting. Serves no purpose. I decided to clear up my art room when we got back; what a mess it was! Still hadn’t even cleared away the boxes…
