Looking back…
Hi there.
- Monday’s blog – Oh happy SHAC
- Tuesday’s blog – the hours roll back.
So how far back shall we travel on our timeline today? How about just a year? You know that line in a song, “What a difference a day makes? 24 little hours”
Well, string 365 of them together, and then take a look back! According to my phone, October 8th last year was a Sunday. According to my photos, Dave and I went for a picnic up on the Ashdown Forest with his daughter Laura and the family…
According to my photos, I spent the evening preparing for the Monday SHAC, and – irony of ironies – we were drawing “ the flower of life ”
The Flower of Life symbolises creation, and reminds us of the unity of everything. The Ancients believed it represented the interconnectedness of all life, and the power of human consciousness. Bit deep. But I like it. As I recall, we used one of our SHAC downloads to draw it…here’s a very useful FREE link to a very useful design download.
From where I’m sitting today, it’s baffling how much things have changed in just one year, both on the home front and in foreign climes.
There’s absolutely no point in playing Woulda Coulda Shoulda either, nobody could have preempted how things have turned and changed. In the words of Charles Darwin,
“It is not the strongest nor the most intelligent of the species that will survive, but the one most adaptable to change. ”
Well, be that as it may, I’m off to bed. A good night’s sleep is what’s needed. Lights out and Zzzzzzz.
Love always

I’m sure you must be exhausted with all you have had to do since you came back – hope you get a good night’s sleep. Looking forward to seeing Tina on Thursday’s show.
Nighty night Barbara….sleep well 😘😘😘
I didn’t do that flower of life but it’s on my to do list! Sweet dreams xx
My husband dreamt of giant doughnuts the other night that jumped on people …. Wonder what that meant ! 😹
Yes how things change and so unexpected yet we cope. In many ways thank goodness we can’t see what’s on the horizon. Clarity Towers copes and our brilliant bus driver steers us along full of hope and anticipation, brilliant ideas, tuition what would we all do without you? X
Remember doing this must admit it took a few attempts to get it right. Hope you have a good night’s sleep.xx
Remember this well. Can’t remember what else was going on a year ago though! Hope you can sleep well, probably still getting over jet lag. Xx
Nighty, nighty, pajama, pajama. Hope you have a good nights sleep after all the trials and tribulations of the past week. Thank you so much for keeping the good ship clarity afloat xxx
What wise words from a wise old owl ! Sorry. Can hardly remember yesterday. Let alone last week, last year. Good to see you are ahead of the game with Clarity Towers programmes. Retreat coming soon, can’t wait
Blimey I can barely remember what I was doing this time last week, never mind a year ago! Always good to spend time with family though
Just found the photo of my flower of life posted on 16 Oct when I had caught up with my homework whilst you were at the Parchment Retreat. How time has flown by but then when you look at all the drawings/doodles we have achieved we have done quite a lot during the past year.
Its great how the Clarity family has grown & is there for each other what ever is thrown into the mix to throw us out of kilter. So many of the Clarity phrases come to mind that ring true at the moment.
Hope you get a good nights sleep without Wurka & Hollick interrupting it !!
No, I didn’t do this either, but saving the date, hopefully I will catch up sometime. Received my monthly club goodies today, a lovely surprise when I got home from work, love them all, thank you. xx
A year ago I was just about to go on holiday to Woolacombe in north Devon, where we have just come home from! I didn’t want to come home but at least I have this week on holiday too!
Went for a lovely walk in Charlecote Park today amongst lots of beautiful deer – just lovely, even in the rain…..well, you don’t get a “green and pleasant land” without a certain amount of rain!
Take care Barbara xx
Seems a lot of us can’t remember what we did last week or even yesterday. I suppose the thousands of photos on my phone do have some use then 🤣- I just looked back and on the 7th which was a warm day, we also had family round and we ate al fresco- couldn’t do that today lol. Rain ☔️ rain 🌧️ and more rain ☔️. Like you say Barbara family is so important !
On the 9th there are loads of DT sample photos so I must have been busy in my craft room on the 8th.
Sleep tight – sweet dreams!
You never know what’s around the corner, so enjoy each day as it comes!
Hi Barb, hope you had a good nights sleep, I remember going back to that SHAC episode to see if I was doing it correctly. Can’t believe how time flies. Take care all, and all affected by the hurricane are in my prayers. Bx
Hope you slept well Barbara. I never did manage this this one but when I get a minute I must have another go.
Enjoy your day.
Take care.
Not seen this one, will have to look it up.
The years seem to go faster the older I get so I agree with Susan, one day at a time because no one knows what’s ahead.
Received my club package, lovely photos.
Stay safe.
Love the Flower of Life – a mandala-esque beautiful piece of pattern building artwork that brings much needed calm and Mindfulness to the natural chaos of things. Good memories from how ever long ago are always worth bringing back, even if you can’t date them accurately!
