Aloha 2020 !

Aloha 2020 !

Hi there, Thanks for popping in. In fact, thank you for popping in most days, as you do. I appreciate you, and even though you may not comment, I know you are there – and that’s a good thing. Remember when I was under attack back in June for ostensibly plagiarising artwork? That was a very low point for me, and without wanting to relive the whole headstorm, what I remember was the overwhelming show of support from friends and…

Boxing Day

Boxing Day

Hi there, Happy Boxing Day! I hope your holidays have been pleasant? Had Dave’s family over today. It was lovely. Little children – no, actually – unicorns in the house. How lovely was that?! Prepared a big old bowl of German Potato Salad, served up with – yep, you guessed it – T U R K E Y ! Dee-lish-us!! And that brings the Christmas festivities to a close in our home for another year. Grace is off back to…

Happy Christmas

Happy Christmas

Hi there, Thanks for popping in. Writing extra fast here, because the family is due to land at 3pm. Was doing really well, at Waitrose at 7.30 this morning, got all the last minute bits, loaded the fridge – there’s enough to feed an army just on the top shelf! Peeled the spuds. laid the table nicely for this evening, and even had time to verbally choke a DHL rep for screwing up the parcel which was intended for our…

Christmas Clarity Party

Christmas Clarity Party

Hi there. Thanks for popping in. Home late. Been partying! Wonderful Christmas lunch at the Spa, with games and singing and all sorts. It was a perfect way to end this year: surrounded by the Clarity team and the Grays. A few important people were missing, which was a pity. Debby unwell, Andy unwell, Jeannine and Laurent at home because Alain was coming home for Christmas today. And our Mark not able to make it home for Christmas this year…

Hi there Thanks for popping in. Just a quickie. We took the bus to Brighton and back today. Blue skies, lovely last minute shopping in the Lanes. It was busy but brilliant. As was yesterday evening, when we spent a rre evening in the company of Sir Ian McKellen. What a stupendous performance! He was incredible! We laughed, we cheered, we sang, we cried, we yelled – he had us right there, in the palm of his hand. What a…

WMBM…

Hi there. Thanks for popping in. Up with the skylark this morning. Thought I’d come in here and wish you a lovely weekend. I hope that you are enjoying the run up to Christmas, and not stressing? Taking it one day at a time here. The gifts are mostly wrapped, although I did run out of gift-tags and really ought to remedy that asap, before the Chanel Mademoiselle goes to Harry and the Splash it on goes to Sally! I…

Back in the Nest…

Back in the Nest…

Hi there! Thanks for popping in. Went and queued up on the M25 for a few hours this morning. That seems to be the state of play on that particular motorway! But it was with good reason and I did it gladly – because I was collecting Grace and her beau Mark from Heathrow! It’s been a smashing day, drinking tea, talking, laughing, catching up. What a lovely woman she is. Wickedly dry sense of humour. I’ve left them in…

Such A Fruity Gift!

Such A Fruity Gift!

Hi there ! Thanks for popping in. Huge box arrived today at Clarity. Big sign on it read “Deliver me today and open me straightaway!” So we did . And what a glorious treat we found inside from dear Tina Cox! An edible bouquet! I ran around the building and gathered everyone together, so we all got to enjoy the moment. What a generous gift! And what a creative gift! To build a bouquet out of chocolate strawberries, pineapples &…

Celebrate Art

Celebrate Art

Hi there! Thanks for popping in. Fantastic evening at the Old Vic last night. Superb performance. Here’s something interesting though: it was a private party. Yep. The entire audience – and there wasn’t an empty seat in the theatre – were guests of The Royal Bank of Canada! What a gig! As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by live music in the foyer, smiling greeters, complimentary drinks and nibbles, boxes of candy for everybody, warm mince pies. Astounding generosity….

A Christmas Carol

A Christmas Carol

Hi there, Thanks for popping in. Friday’s blog a private peek, right? Well, I think I mentioned yesterday, that I’m off up to London this afternoon, to see A Christmas Carol at the Old Vic. Looking forward to it. It’s had rave reviews. And we do like A Christmas Carol, don’t we? Or should I say, we do like a happy ending, don’t we? I wonder if Dickens knew, when he wrote A Christmas Carol, that Ebenezer Scrooge would become…
