Enjoyed the August Arty Challenge? Let’s Keep Going with Our Online Courses!

Hi there.

Sunday again! And this afternoon, from 2–4pm, I’ll be back with you on Clarity TV with Jazz — and I really hope you’ll join us, because today we’re launching something that I’m very excited about.

Our new Clarity Christmas Online Course Series.

If you joined me for the August Arty Challenge, you’ll know just how much we packed into those 31 little daily sessions. Every day we sat down together, made something, tried something, learned something — and, judging by the wonderful messages and comments you sent us – not to mention the amazing artwork all over Facebook – those few creative minutes each day meant rather more to many of you than simply making a piece of artwork.

And that has got me thinking a lot about what comes next.

I would LOVE to keep doing more of this kind of thing. More teaching. More sharing. More opportunities for us to actually sit down together and make something. Not just selling you the ingredients, but showing you what you can do with them, exploring techniques properly, making mistakes, discovering things — all the good stuff!

But here’s the thing.

The August Arty Challenge was completely free to take part in, and I was very happy that it was. It was our gift to you, and what a brilliant month we had together.

But producing something like that takes a huge amount of work behind the scenes — filming, editing, graphics, uploading, preparation, materials, staff time — and if we want to keep creating good-quality teaching and content, then somehow it has to pay for itself.

That’s where these new Online Courses come in.

There are three Saturday morning workshops coming up, each three hours long, each concentrating on a different Clarity technique, and each packed with ideas, tips, tricks and projects that we can work through together.

They are £40 each, or £100 for all three — with your usual Club discount on top.

And I want to say something quite plainly.

If you enjoyed the August Arty Challenge, if you learned something from it, if those daily sessions gave you a little creative lift — and especially if your reaction at the end was “Please do something like this again!” — then signing up for one of these workshops is one very practical way of helping us do exactly that.

I don’t want to stand here rattling a begging bowl. That’s not what this is about. We have created three proper, substantial workshops which I believe offer excellent value for money, and I am going to work very hard to make sure you come away from each one buzzing with ideas.

But there is a simple truth in any small creative business: the things you support are the things we are able to keep doing.

Every course booking is a vote for more teaching.

It tells us that this is something you value. It enables me to put the time into developing the next idea. And it helps us keep investing in the people behind the cameras and computers who make all of this possible.

So perhaps think of August as the taster.

Now we get to really dig in!

I’ll tell you much more about the courses during this afternoon’s 2–4pm Clarity TV show, show you what we’ve got planned, and explain exactly how it will all work.

I really hope you’ll come along for the next part of our creative journey.

Because I’ve got plenty more I want to teach you.

We just need enough of you to come with me. ❤️

See you at 2.

Much love and Clarity,

Barb x x x

  1. I really enjoyed the August challenge and it inspired me to be more creative and brave with my parchment projects and just try things to see what happens….!

Looking forward to seeing what you have in store for us

  2. Morning Barbara and friends

Will have to catch up with this afternoons show as we have a family gathering.
But looking forward to seeing what you have planned.

I didn’t take part in the August arty challenge but enjoyed watching your creativity, thank you.

I have purchased several online courses from you but haven’t yet had the time to sit, watch and learn!
But I love the concept of your online workshops and I’m sure I will be signing up to more!

    Have a lovely Sunday everyone.
