100 Days to Christmas – Let’s Make Our Way There
Good morning.
Well, here’s a thought for a Sunday morning. On Wednesday, there will be exactly 100 days to Christmas. How did that happen?! I swear it was Easter about five minutes ago.
Well, we’ve designed the banners, and Jazz and I have got a plan! Oooh! I say I say… is that a little pic of some new vintage style children incoming? Together with wonderful Shakespeare quotes? Lovely.

Anyway, rather than panic about how quickly the year is disappearing, we’ve decided to embrace it. From Wednesday, we’re kicking off our 100 Day Countdown to Christmas at Clarity, and we’ve got plenty of ideas up our sleeves – artwork, inspiration, demonstrations, old favourites, new goodies and all sorts of things to keep us crafting our way towards the big day.
Now, before anybody asks, no, I am NOT making another video every day for 100 days!! The 31-day August Arty Challenge nearly finished us off! 😂 But I’m sure we can rustle up a few little videos along the way. I’d quite like to carry some of that August spirit with us too; doing a little something creative whenever we can, trying things out and enjoying the process without putting ourselves under pressure.
And actually, 100 days to Christmas is quite a long time, isn’t it? Plenty of time to make a few cards, try something new, or perhaps dig out those Christmas stamps we bought three years ago and have never used. Come on, we’ve all got them! There’s no need to go charging towards Christmas like a bull at a gate. Little and often will do nicely.
Dave and I were talking about that expression “losing track of time”, because it happens to us both when we’re making. We call it being “in the zone”. You look up and three hours have disappeared. We talk about that time as though somehow we’ve lost it. But we haven’t, have we? If we’ve spent it engrossed in something we enjoy, I reckon that’s time very well spent. I bet that if you’re reading this blog, you will know exactly what we mean by “being in the zone”…
So there we are. 100 days to Christmas, starting on Wednesday. Let’s see what we can make of them together. We’ll bring the ideas, you bring the tea!
See you in the SHAC tomorrow at 10am – note to self: do a little prep!
Have a lovely Sunday.
Love always,
Barb xxx

So looking forward to this!x
Lots of ideas for sure xxx
I’ll have not one, but two new grandsons by the time Christmas comes around! My two daughters will be having their babies within 5 weeks of each other (approx!) One is due at the end of October and the other in early December. I’m hoping to help them both out as much as possible so I need to be organised myself in order to do that!
I’ll be getting started on my Christmas cards soon, but first I need to get two new baby cards on the go. 😂 xx 🌸🌼🌺
Jane – how lovely to hear that you’ll have two grandchildren by Xmas. Yes, you will need to get yourself prepared xx
Yes definitely Jo! 😂 Like buses, non for ages, then two at once. 😂😂
Hope you’re with me in the SHAC then! We’re making It’s A Boy ! Right now xxx
Yes I am Barbara! I catch up later though as I am busy with Nana duties on Mondays. I’m afraid my drawing skills aren’t up to the task though. I’m hoping that there’ll be stamps soon. 🤣 x
Wow!!! Wonderful!! X
Thank you. x 😊
Don’t need nearly as many Christmas cards as I used to so would like to find ways of using the stamps etc for different things. I know I have lots of stamps but couldn’t resist the new ones for the latest courses. I think my Christmas jumpers might be becoming birthday jumpers
Good idea!!! Xxx
Oh heavens! That’s a good 80 cards at nearly one a day then ! Glad I got the bell jars, better unpack them! Time is a bit odd in my head at the moment. John had a scan yesterday except he didn’t as we turned up a week early 🤦♀️ no he’s more worried about me than me about him 😹. See you in Shac if I get the right day ! X
Jackie – you’re not the first or last person to do that. My husband has done it before now. Hope the appointment goes well when you do go x
Bell Jar cards – peesacake !! You can make mine for me too! 🤣🤣🤣xxx
How lovely Barbara I will be looking forward to this. I think I did mention I would love to see some Christmas inspiration and you are duly providing! Can’t wait to see what you have up your little sleevies! I will be on hols for a few days but will catch up on my return. Exciting. Thanks once again for everything that you give us and thanks to the Clarity team behind the scenes also! xx
Can’t wait although I don’t need to make nearly so many Christmas cards as I used to. I do enjoy the process though.
100 days till Christmas, the way this year has gone that will fly by no doubt. Haven’t given Christmas a thought yet so I suppose I better get organised so looking forward to seeing what you & Jazz have planned for us.
100 videos would have been quite a task to get ready so don’t blame you for ducking out of that idea. Then any hints and tips will be most welcome.
Have a fabulous holiday in Spain, most probably warmer than where I’m going but hopefully just as enjoyable xx
