Day 1 – August Arty Challenge – Every Artist Starts somewhere

Day 1 – August Arty Challenge – Every Artist Starts somewhere

Hi there!

August has always felt like the perfect month to slow down, make a little time for yourself and simply create. So this year, I’d love you to join me for something rather special. Every single day throughout August, I’ll be choosing one of our Daily Affirmation Cards and decorating the reverse with a different creative idea, technique or little artistic adventure. You don’t have to make what I make—in fact, I’d much rather you used my projects as a springboard for your own creativity. The aim isn’t to produce thirty-one masterpieces. It’s simply to make something, every day, and rediscover the joy that comes from spending a few peaceful minutes with paper, ink and imagination.

Every project has been pre-recorded too, so there’s no pressure whatsoever. Dip in when it suits you, pause, rewind, catch up whenever you like, and revisit your favourites as often as you wish. Best of all, it’s completely FREE.

And, because we know many of you will want to try the products and techniques I’m using, everything featured throughout the challenge will be on special offer all month long—31% off all Clarity products (plus your Club discount), and 13% off all our favourite non-Clarity essentials (again, with your Club discount). Thirty-one days in August… it seemed only fitting!

  1. What a beautiful piece of art. I’m away from home at the moment, but did a few of my pieces before I left so I could join in. I’ll catch up and use your inspiration when I get back to my stash, but tried to use older items from my stash to get my creativity going. I love this challenge – thank you xx

  2. Love it!
Wishing you a very restfull recovery. If you are doing as you are told and taking it easy, may I recommend the Netflix new series Little House on the Prairie.
    Big hugs Barb.xx

  3. I was awake early this morning and was happy to see that it was 6.15am. Ooooh, I thought as I lay in bed, I think I heard that Barb’s challenges are uploaded at 6am. 🤔 I checked, and there it was …. day 1! How exciting! I’m so looking forward to taking part and learning lots along the way. Thank you so much for doing this, and for working so hard to complete all 31 in record breaking time! Thanks for the discounts too.
I hope that you’re feeling well and taking time to rest from your surgery. Best wishes for a speedy, (but don’t rush things!) and full recovery.
    Take care,
    Jane xx 🌸🌼🌺

  4. Just read about your surgery on the ‘share’- wishing you a speedy recovery. I had that surgery a while ago and it made a huge difference to my life-no more pain! I hope you have a good result too!!

  5. Loved this mornings little demo, can’t wait to get started when I get home from my hols next week. Wishing you a speedy recovery Barb but take plenty of time to rest and enjoy this lovely weather x

  6. A very lovely little video from you today Barbara, I will have a go and this will be my first time really of trying out using masks such as yours!! It could go either way with me as I am a bit hamfisted!! Sending hugs! xx

  7. Excited for this 31 day challenge. Early this morning I remembered 😂 day one started today. Checked my email and a fabulous email from Clarity was waiting for me.
Ordering my cards today – late but I can still have a play each day and work on my cards when I receive.
Barbara, your finished piece was beautiful. The finishing touch of adding the storyteller children- Wow.
I noticed one of the other cards – I will not be afraid to try something new- this spoke to me – I need to remember this so I can try different techniques that you have shared and continue to share.💕
I truly admire and appreciate the tremendous work you have done for this 31 day challenge. Also, a huge thank you to your team.
It was wonderful to see you in the chat yesterday.
Thinking of you and wishing you all the best as your recover. Take care.
