Butterfly Wreath Step by step project

Butterfly Wreath Step by step project

Hi there

The Offer of the Week is pretty special,

…so let’s take that lovely wreath through its paces, and do a pretty step by step together.

Ready steady GO!

Pick a sheet of Designer Paper. This is from the Toscana Set:

  • Stamp the Wreath onto the largest stampboard circle using black Archival
  • Stamp the small elements from the same stampset and HAPPY from the Happy Grunge Elements Stampset onto the small circle stampboard shape.

Using Shabby Shutters and Cotton Candy Artistry ink, stamp other Grunge Elements from that HAPPY set all over a piece of Designer Paper from the Toscana Pad.

  • Stamp the floral elements randomly over the same backing paper with Black Archival
  • Colour in these elements with Pergaliners A Pencils and a little water.

Do the same colouring on the Wreath and flowers on the disks

  • Now to splatter. Use Artistry inks on the blending mat and a water colour brush to splatter. Try it on scrap first, to get the right angle and position with the brush.
  • Tap the loaded brush on your finger to splat.
  • Swipe the edges of the round stampboard pieces with the Black Archival ink pad before assembling the card.
  • Layer the small circle on the large circle using our glue runners.
  • Layer the centrepieces on the backing paper.

Easy to do. Makes a great Birthday Card too. Just add the word Birthday on the inside!

  2. Pretty card. Items already ordered. πŸ‘
    Lovely sunny day.
    Jobs all done.
Linda’s Wrap set 3 just arrived, late post today.
    I’m happy 😊
    Stay safe

  3. Another great project for us to try when the stamp sets arrive in due course. Lots of great inspiration from the DT as well on Facebook
Will watch tonight’s Moment of Clarity in a bit & then complete the project tomorrow as I have had another busy day stripping wallpaper at our daughters house. Only the lounge & 2 bedrooms to go but they can wait until the rooms I have done already are finished.
Tomorrow I plan to have a catch up on all outstanding projects from the SHAC Shack, Groovi Shack & Claritymattersblog. My husband did ask if I would get a detention for not being there this morning !!

  4. Lovely simple but very effective card. Moment of Clarity was brilliant tonight and the next one looks stunning too. Thanks Barbara xx

  5. Hi Barb, what a lovely floral project, I am very into my splatters at the moment, so would have a field day doing this. Missed moment of Clarity live, will try catch up today. Take care and stay safe everyone. Bx

  6. Would just like to say, how enjoyable the moment of clarity, tuition was last night. A great introduction to people who haven’t attempted parchment art.
Above all, love the new lino cut stamps and the idea of the-new stamp-board frame, brilliant. However, my bank account is struggling with all the goodies lately.
