84 days to Christmas!

And today we’re going RETRO!

I am so excited to finally show you this brand new collection. It all started in the SHAC, with a few simple shapes, a few people, some rather fabulous clothes — and a definite nod to the wonderful patterns and colours of the 60s and 70s. My era for sure! And yours too?

I have to say, my evening with Orla Kiely certainly left its mark on me too! I came away with my head absolutely buzzing with shape, pattern, colour and that wonderfully distinctive retro style.

And somewhere along the way, all those ideas started finding their way into the SHAC…

And now look what happened!

Our little SHAC family has grown up and become a fabulous new collection of stamps.

There are people and pets, clothes to dress them in, hairstyles, flowers, birds and all sorts of lovely little elements to play with. You can build families, friends and characters of your own — change their clothes, change their hair, add the dog, the cat or the little bird. Great fun.Here’s a closer look at the A4 Stamp Set:

And of course, once we started down the retro road, we couldn’t stop there. Jazz was in her element here!

Colourful on one hand, crisp black and white BOW WOB papers on the other. Cut them up, tear them, layer them, colour them — or simply let those fabulous patterns do the work.

Those lovely bold shapes and patterns were crying out to become papers too.

And for our Groovi friends, we’ve taken the same family and retro elements across into parchment craft too.

I LOVE it when something we draw together in the SHAC takes on a life of its own like this. From a few simple lines on a piece of paper to stamps, papers, Groovi — and then into the hands of our Design Team.

And just look what they’ve done with it…

Isn’t that a feast for the eyes?! Sam Crowe wrote to me when she received these designs to make samples with…“I think I’ve died and gone to heaven” was what she said. High praise indeed from the Clarity Queen of Retro design!

And although we’re counting down to Christmas, that’s the beauty of this collection. It isn’t just for Christmas. Birthdays, families, friends, celebrations, new homes, anniversaries — or simply because you fancy making something bright and happy.
