Day 21 – August Arty Challenge – Creativity Begins With Curiosity

I reckon curiosity is where most creative ideas start. What if I try this? What happens if I put that with that? What would it look like if I turned it upside down, added some colour, tore it up, stamped over it?

In fact, right at the centre of this year’s retreats was a BIG “What if?” session – fun, playful, experimental and completely unpredictable. I LOVED IT! And a huge thank you to everybody who took the bull by the horns and joined in so wholeheartedly.

I think it was really well received, and it certainly proved the point: you don’t have to know where you’re going before you start. Sometimes it’s much more fun when you haven’t got a clue! Curiosity gives us permission to experiment, wander off piste and see what happens. And if it doesn’t work? Well, now you know! So today, be curious. Ask yourself “What if…?” and then have a go. You never know where it might lead you. xxx
