Day 20 – August Arty Challenge – I’m not afraid to try something New
Well, this one couldn’t be more appropriate! Trying something new can feel a bit daunting, especially when we’re comfortable with the things we already know how to do. But that’s where so much of the fun is, isn’t it? You don’t have to be brilliant at something the first time you try it – in fact, you probably won’t be! The important thing is simply being willing to have a go. Yesterday, here at the Retreat, we introduced our second group to a completely new creative process, and once again it was wonderful to watch that initial uncertainty turn into enthusiasm as everybody started experimenting and finding their own way with it.
So today’s affirmation is a good reminder for all of us: be curious, have a go, and don’t worry too much about where it might lead. You might just discover something you absolutely love. xxx

I loved the art you created on this one.
I don’t think I’m afraid to try something new or to simply craft: it’s on my “to do” list virtually every day: the ideas are whizzing around in my head first thing but, sadly never materialize on paper – my own fault I need to think about my own, somewhat limited artistic ability rather than trying to produce fine art 😜.
I am really in awe of those Arty August Challenge followers that post their brilliant artwork daily on FB. I have no excuse now my crafting space has been re-established so, as your Dave so succinctly puts it, I must JFDI😂.
Hope, health wise, all is well but know you are in your happy place tutoring all those willing students.
