Hobbies & Pastimes

Hobbies & Pastimes

Hi there

Good news! Dave had his knee surgery yesterday, and is recovering well. Before I go and spend the afternoon with him in hospital, I wanted to shine a light on today’s Clarity TV shows. Deb and Paul are set to entertain you at 10am and 2pm, with some superb stamps. Deb plans her own monthly shows, you know. She picks which stamps she would like to showcase, and we build the show around her selection. This month, I have to say, she has selected some smashing little sets! I am looking forward to watching her work her magic.

WHEN EXACTLY?

At 10am, they will be focussing on the Mini Hobbies A5sq Stamp Collection AND the Groovi Hobbies and Pastimes plates – perfect for mini makes! So many of us are enjoying finding our creative selves through mini art, these stamps offer such lovely designs! Great choice, Deb!!
They are great little build-a-picture stamps. They also cover so many topics! Here is a list, to get you thinking..

  • making a card for a gardening friend,
  • Spring Party Invitation
  • Gift-Tags
  • making little tags for the jam or cakes you are selling on your stall
  • Labels for your jams, honey and chutneys
  • Envelope enhancement
  • Wrapping paper
  • Tote bags with tags
  • making invitations for a baby shower
  • Price tags for the childrens’ knits you are selling
  • ATC’s / PTC’s

also available in Groovi

These stamp sets and Groovi plates comprise so many little images and worker stamps – you will keep seeing newness!

Let me show you some artwork form our clever DT…

STAMPS.

Then, at 2pm – Deb and Paul will be focussing on a pair of Word Framer A5sq Stamp & Masks.

These BIG O stamps, which come with very useful masks, are a design concept from many years ago, where you build miniature scenes inside the O. The first two I came up with were LOVE and PEACE (The C). There are quite a few now, so we thought we would showcase all of these sets over the coming months. I LIKE these stamps, so it flatters me that Deb picked them out. They work really well with the little worker stamps they come with, but of course, Wee have all our Wee Stamps and Wee Wee stamps too! They play so happily with these Big O stamps! More will be revealed by Deb at 2pm.

All available on our show page HERE

Blimming beautiful!!

If you can’t watch live, you can visit our Catch Up & Craft area on the website, where you will also find the Demo Downloads – HERE

We have cleared out the supplier of the Mini Makes Folders until the end of March

what we have is available HERE

Did you know, that if you take the M out of Pastimes, you end up with Pasties? I do love a Pasty, don’t you?! Just an observation. The girl needs a break! Or does she mean a brake? Maybe both. I just have to trust.

Off to see Dave now. By all accounts, the first few days will be a bit of a hurdle, but he has the right approach; he is brimming with gratitude

Love always

  3. hi Barbara,
I’m so grateful for your post. I’ve been thinking of you both and hoping that Dave’s surgery went ahead. These days there are so many factors that can stall the process.
Please pass my best wishes to Dave for a speedy recovery. I have a feeling Dave will be someone who will take careful note of the physio exercises. It amazes me that not everyone does their physio homework! Your job, I think, will be making sure he doesn’t overdo it! It’s never an easy balance.
Thinking of you both and sending much love,
    Alison xxx

  7. Great news about Dave’s op and recovery! Dave’s attitude to life is truly inspirational! Many thanks for the Blog, Barb, really looking forward to Deborah and Paul’s demos. Best wishes to Dave, and both of you take care and make sure you take time out for both of you to recover before getting back on the bus! Is Dave allowed his guitar in hospital, while recovering? I’m sure it would put a smile on the faces of all the other patients and the nurses! 😊

  8. Looking forward to these shows. Bought the thank you ‘big O’ some time ago but haven’t used it, so that’ll, hopefully, make me get it out.

I worked with the public and had a good few run ins with some who were really awful. Take time for yourself, try not to burn candle at both ends. looking forward to hours 2 hours on Sunday. Enjoy the sunshine and keep smiling, you do so much good for us all. xxxx

Loved both shows but as always had to watch on catch up xxx

  24. Glad Dave’s op went ahead as planned & everything went well. Hopefully for you he will be home soon as I always think it is as tiring for the visitor.
I am a bit late today catching up with everything as I went to see Maggie this afternoon. A lovely day for driving through the countryside & it was good to see her again. its 4 weeks since I last went & I could see the improvement which is really good but it is really due to her determination to get as mobile as possible. Still a long way to go but definitely moving in the right direction – one day at a time.
I passed on the best wishes from those watching this mornings show & in fact she was listening to Paul & Deborah when we got there.
Now to read the 2nd blog & catch up with the 2pm show.

  25. Pleased all went well with Dave’s surgery. Just make sure he obeys the Doctors orders for a full recovery.
Watched both shows this afternoon on catch up, very relaxing. Placed an order for the mini hobby stamps as I already have the large ones and the Groovi plates.
Off to take some pain killers now and have an early night.
    Stay well.
