A Pleasing People Party!

A Pleasing People Party!

Hi there

Just a quickie, to post a pic of my little people…

So much fun to doodle. A really freeing exercise. As I said in the SHAC at 10am this morning, there’s strength in numbers! The more you do the better you get too! And the appeal is in the crowd! The internet is full of little people drawings! Many thanks to Grace for showing me the idea. And thanks to all those creative artists who can draw little people !

If you missed the SHAC,

I could spend hours doing this kind of doodling. There’s nothing like it for playful, creative distraction. If you have kids or grandchildren, THEY WOULD LOVE IT TOO!

I think I will do a row of Tudors, then a row of Hippies, maybe a row of Vikings, Greeks and Romans! You could do rows of seasonal attire, couldn’t you?! That’ll keep me quiet for a while! Which other ideas have you got? Tell us below! I have a feeling many of you are going to try this.

Love always

  1. This is really uncanny. I’ve just bought a book titled “A Voyage Around The Queen ” OK. Tonight I thought I’d have a look. Well, blow me, there’s inside the front and back covers there’s a Royal Snakes & Ladders…………..covered in tiny people drawings. WOW.

  2. Hi
It was so nice to hear you giggling and laughing whilst you were creating these ‘people’ today !
    It made me smile !xx

  3. Really enjoyed the Shac as always and am now practicing people doodles and yes they look good in a crowd! Thank you Barb also loved the show at 2.00 today and have ordered some stamps

  4. I’m definatley going to give it a go. I haven’t seen the shac yet but they look brilliant. I’m at work when the shac is on but always look forward to catching up with all Clarity TV in the evenings. xx

  5. Those little people were brilliant and my first thought was that my grandsons would love to draw those! Ishall enjoy making those little people myself!
Thanks Grace for suggesting that idea and thanks Barbara for showing us how good they could look!

  6. I was a bit late to this mornings shac, but so enjoyed these delightful little people, and will have a play sometime. xx

  7. Phone rang just as the SHAC was starting so I missed the first bit of the SHAC but have caught up now so I need to get drawing – love all the different figures that appear from just a few small shapes.
Enjoyed the 2pm show as well, lots of inspiration from the DT & found the pictures against the products on the website as well – have actually opened some of the packets & used the stamps this afternoon – a WIP but why hadn’t I used them before instead of putting them away in a drawer ? who knows but I am determined to make more use of all my stash this year.

  8. Fabulous little people – thank you Barbara. Excited to start doodling.
After reading your BLOG I looked for a short time on the internet -I did find lots of little people like you mentioned but I didn’t see any as fun and creative as the ones you doodled. Thanks for sharing this fun adventure.
The afternoon show was great- thanks to you and Paul. The DT inspiration art work fantastic as always. Barbara, thank you for your amazing works of art and all your tips and tricks. Look forward to the craft a long in February.

  9. Hello Barb, I managed to catch some of the Shac yesterday and it was brilliant, so something I am going to try when on long boring conference calls. Thanks for promoting the idea Grace. Hoping to catch up on the 2pm show this morning. Take care everyone. Bx

  10. Loved the Shac yesterday and am really looking forward to the craft along to get better use out of chess and grunge stamps.

  11. I watched the people Shac last night and really enjoyed it. You could see that you enjoyed drawing them too Barbara. I look forward to the next version and will give it a go myself. More interesting than just drawing lines. Thank you.

  12. Just popped upstairs to check my emails and read your blog .Have just watched part of it and got carried away creating little people ! Love it !
Will rush through todays tasks now so I can get back to the rest of it .I agree its the collection of characters that gives it the energy , much like being together in a social group x

  13. Thanks to both you and Grace for bringing this idea to us.
I love everything you do for us in the shac but the doodling sessions are, for me, the best. They are mind freeing sessions as I just concentrate on the simple task you set. These particular doodles are easy to stop and start as time allows, no time for critical scrutinizing of the one before just amusement at what’s been sketched.
    Thanks again.

  14. Only just seen these – but I immediately thought it was new alphabet as some of them look like letters. Still thinking about ‘styles’ I would choose, let’s have some hell’s angels! YAY, love it.
Hope you are all well – my shoulder is much improved, but still rather sore.
    Love
    Maggie (York UK)

  15. Hi Barbara,
I absolutely loved this doodle session, can’t believe that what started as a simple shape turned into something so brilliant. The first couple of rows were a bit suspect, think I was trying way too hard and being too placed. But then I started to get the idea and they weren’t half bad. Thank you so so much for making it possible for me to try things I never thought was in me to do. Penny xXx

  16. I enjoyed watching you drawing these so much..I love how you just go with it..and laugh too! it made my day..I’m going to try these😊
