Give the Gift of a Clarity Craft Club or 2 or 3

Hi there

Last minute Christmas gift ideas coming up…our Gift Cards just got interesting…

I gift subscriptions quite often to friends. We live in such excess, and I think that giving them the key to a year of activity or interesting entertainment is a good gift. The V&A and Audible are my faves. In turn, I have received Theatre tokens and Pottery Class tokens – which I am always so grateful for!

So at Clarity we have decided that this might be a lovely idea too. The Gift of a Clarity Club Subscription for a whole year. And they can pick which Clarity Club!

You pick the Gift Card, just as you would for a regular Gift Voucher, then decide whether you want to sign them up for 1, 2 or even 3 clubs. This really is a very generous gift, that keeps on giving all year through.

If you’re not sure about the club idea, how about a normal Gift Card? They can use it all year long, to turn into something they really want.

Of course, BOTH is an option too! A subscription to a club AND a little Value Gift Card.

Tell you what.. I’ve just had another idea! In January, when we announce the Online Workshop dates, Retreat dates and Open Day dates, we could create lovely gift cards for them too. What a smashing present! A workshop or a retreat. That would be right up my street. There’s so much to consider, so much to get excited about.

All our Gift Cards are available HERE.

But today, I’m stepping away from Clarity for a few hours, and we are catching the bus to Brighton. I don’t get to see my kids often, and I can’t think of a better thing to do than get upstairs on the bus, and enjoy the Sussex countryside on the way to the coast. Then meander through the North Lanes, pick up a few little gifts, have a spot of lunch at Bill’s, and then catch the bus back. Easy. No parking for a start. The parking in Brighton is ridiculous. Last time I paid £7.50 an hour!! REALLY!! And that’s if you can find a space.

What about you? Are you set for Christmas? I’ve had to let it go and just manage the manageable. One day at a time. Have I written cards this year? Nope. Have I wrapped any presents? Nope. Have I made any pottery for gifts? Nope. Have I bought any gifts? That’s what today’s about! And there’s always the last minute Gift Card Subscription for Audible!

I bet there are plenty of us in the same boat. Us WASPI’s (yep, I fall into that category too) should have retired years ago! If they sold Time in a Bottle, I’d buy a crate!

Have a great day!

Love always,

Barb x x x

  1. Ooh enjoy the Lanes! Haven’t been to Brighton in years! Don’t think I’d recognise it except for the sea being there! Haha. Have fun on the bus journey too! Sounds like a fantastic day. Great way to unwind and get yourself geared up for Christmas! Enjoy the time with family! Everything else can wait! Haha. Xxx

  2. Have a lovely day all of you. I’m finishing up a few things, had a lovely lunch at College yesterday – the pensioners one which they now call seniors ! Me and you both Waspi women but I’ve been lucky enough to retire early and enjoy it I can tell you ! Have a great day x x

  3. Have a great day out, chauffeur driven to the coast whilst you chat to Grace & Mark – sounds like a fantastic plan.
As I said to my daughter last night – Grandma is ready for Christmas !! now to start on my list of tasks !! Today is present wrapping as some are being collected today so Santa can deliver them to the right house then tomorrow is Tree decoration day. Still 6 days until the Big Day !! I have a Christmas cake to ice as well but it will get done in time. Fortunately the kitchen dept is not relying on my input other than desserts !!
I am a Waspi as well plus I get Clawback on my works pension, neither of which we were given the full facts of the impact this would have.
Looking forward to the New Year to hear all about the plans for Clarity going forward x

  4. What an excellent idea ! Here’s hoping I get one/some of these in my Christmas stocking!

I hope you have a fab day out to Brighton – sounds wonderful!

I am mostly ready for Christmas, just a few more presents to wrap – had a mad couple of evenings Monday & Tuesday making/writing last minute Christmas cards to catch the last second class posting on Wednesday – manic! Thank goodness for Clarity fresh cut dies! Now I have come down with a cough and had to sleep sitting up last night – not what I wanted at all, especially as we are supposed to be visiting someone special in a week’s time and then the following week I am off up to Newcastle to see the Les Miserable Arena Tour – 6 hours by coach…………..!

  5. Enjoy Brighton, we go by train and now I’ve got a bus pass I use it to get me back up that steep hill, what a killer 🤣

    1. I am donating to the British Heart Foundation in memory of Paul and Dad instead of posting Christmas cards this year. I have hand made ones to give to close family. Great idea regarding vouchers though.

  6. I have only been to Brighton once and that was for my 40th; and I’m the same age as you Barb! I can see the attraction of going by bus, plus the company will be excellent. I’m sure those nearest and dearest know it’s not that you don’t care about them but it’s been quite a rough end of year. Without Clarity, there are no presents – wrapped or unwrapped. Have fun, you deserve it !!

  7. I’m not a WASPI woman, started drawing my state pension almost 20 years ago. However I do sympathise with all who fell through the cracks. We all seem to be getting a financial walloping with all the utilities being increased as well as other inflation matters.
My trees went up and were decorated by3rd December, all cards finished and posted by 4th. No wrapping to do this year. Cake is iced, puddings have been maturing for over 6 months, all non perishables bought and stored, drinks cupboard stocked where necessary, only thing left to do is pick up fresh veg, fruit and butchery on Christmas Eve. We will be closing doors until 2nd January and having a cosy 12 days, just the two of us. Absolute bliss.
Have a good day out with your family today and please try to get some quality rest over the holiday.
Love to all the Clarity community. Have very HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND A WONDERFUL NEW YEAR.

  8. Great idea with the vouchers for your clubs.
Enjoy your day out and have fun.
Wishing you and everyone at Clarity a very happy Christmas and a peaceful, healthy New Year.

  9. Have a lovely day in Brighton, I enjoy going a couple of times a year, great for shopping, lunch and more shopping……
I seem to be organised this Christmas, which is surprising. My tree is up, presents wrapped and cards posted. I did make some mince pies at the beginning of the week, but they are all gone already. So I will just have to make a few more. Feeling very festive now as I have been to a carol concert this week, the choir were lovely, it made my heart sing.
I too, am a WASPI, all I can say is we were well and truly shafted…….
Good idea with the club vouchers what a lovely gift to receive.

  10. Hoping you have a lovely Christmas and a Better New Year. You’re doing a fantastic job, keeping us all going. Have only every dealt with clarity as never trusted telly shopping sights. I too an a ‘WASPI ‘ lady, can things get any worse? Enjoy your day out you deserve it looking forward to 5th January. Have got all my shopping done, got mince pies to make and ice the cake, but will keep on smiling. Bye for now HAPPY CHRISTMAS xxxx

  11. Barbara,
I hope you and your family had a marvellous day out!
Your blog has brought back many happy memories of outings with my daughters on the train and/or bus along the south coast to Brighton or Portsmouth.
I’m sure there are still lots of super shops to explore and people to watch! Did you get some of your gifts?
Looking forward to hearing your new ideas for 2025.
Happy Christmas to all at Clarity. Take care all. Susan.

  12. Hi Barb, I hope you had a fabulous day in Brighton with the family. Great ID for the craft club gift vouchers. Am I all set for Christmas? That’s a very big laugh, but hopefully get somewhere today with what I need to do. Need to call Sue and renew my club subscription. Take care everyone. A bit chilly today. Bx

  13. Hope you had a fab day – I love Brighton!
Gift cards for Clarity subscriptions, Open Days & Retreats are a fab idea – I’ve gifted my sister a retreat or workshop place a couple of times and it will be lovely to have a proper gift card for that!
