Room with a View – Design of the Week

Room with a View – Design of the Week

Hi there

Thanks for popping in. Calling all arty people, who like a classy design. I want to bring to your attention our Room with a View Collection, original art illustrated by our good friend Mel Turner herself. Thanks Mel, if you’re reading this! YOUR ARTWORK IS EPIC!! I honestly think these are so excellent! Whether you like minimalist elegance or grunge, these hit the spot every time. I‘m even turning them into Lino Cuts – and boy oh boy! They really are a Bus to Brighton Artshop kinda thing! I actually went on a Printmaking course in Brighton, and cut a plate out of lino using one of Mel’s designs, just to take and work with. Here are a few Chine Collé prints I pulled. Great technique.

So it’s time to shine a light on this superb design collection. These designs can be used individually, exactly as they come, or you can join them up to make one long rolling scene. Yep. They tessellate. Lookie lookie!! Now we really ARE on the bus to Brighton!

As always, to celebrate being in business for 30 years, we shine on a specific design with 30% off + Club discount for a week!

Available in Fresh Cut Aperture Dies

What is really excellent is that Quarterette Set in the middle. The 4 mini dies. If you can swing it, treat yourself. They are very very special.

Also in A6sq Baby Groovi plates. Great size!

Watch this space for Lino Cut stamps too. I just need to find some time. But once you get started on cutting the lino, it really is so therapeutic. I think these would make excellent Christmas cards too – especially the one with the car, and the one with the farmhouses.

Anyway, must dash. This list of things to do is getting longer by the minute!

I hope you can join me on Create & Craft tomorrow evening at 6pm, when we launch those lovely Japanese stamps and stencils we’ve been doodling in the SHAC x

Quote for today.

Good things are worth waiting for along the road to happy destiny…

Love always,

Barb x x x
