Thanks for popping in. Ready for something new, lovely and different? Linda Williams has spent months developing this new Groovi Collection, and we are about to release them on Create & Craft at 4pm this afternoon. Well, actually Paul is in charge of this launch; I’ll be up at the studios next week.

New and Different? What’s different here, I hear you ask. These are very clever, very beautiful layering frames. Easy to extend and reduce in size, very interchangeable.

Each month for the next 6 months, we will release a new set of 3 x A4sq Groovi Plates and 1 x A5sq Groovi Plate. All the sets are themed; this month it’s the Christmas Set.

Here are the designs from this fabulous first Set:

Let’s take a closer look at the plates themselves. You will notice that one of the plate designs is all dots, like a cross-stitch pattern. Here’s the new news: the artwork is created with varying size dots and spacing, to achieve a “Tapestry effect”. The dots are not mapped out with a grid, which would create a more angular effect. They are drawn freely. So when you look at the artwork below, you will see the magic effect this gives you. And each monthly set contains one of these tapestry plates.

As part of the New & Exclusive, I will also be doing a Craft Along Live on Facebook and YouTube with each set. The first Craft Along is scheduled for:

7pm on Friday 14th July.

Don’t worry if you can’t join in live; you can always go back and watch it at a time that suits you!

Superb, right? See what I mean about the interchangeablilty? You can go little or large – or somewhere inbetween – with all the frames too. And as they are layering frames, of course they will work with all your other centrepieces! We can go into that extending/reducing technique in more detail during the Craft Along.

You may recall Linda’s beautiful Christmas Treasures Collection last year. We released a new set each month for 6 months. Same this year. Although we have all the artwork and designs in house already, we think it makes good sense to slow down, and just release one set in the series each month. That way, we can play with each set, get together for a Craft Along, get to know the plates better and learn how to make the most of them over a whole half year. Spreads the cost too. Here are the dates of all the releases on Create & Craft.
