If you are new to Clarity or Groovi, then you may not know what the Picot Dies & Groovi plates are all about – let me explain.

Picot Cutting is a technique used in Parchment craft. Normally, you would perforate the area along a solid line with a 2 Needle Tool and then using special scissors (Exclusive, Ringlock or Perga Cutters), snip between the perforations to create the Picot finish

Here is a piece of artwork from Tina Cox showing the dies and traditional picot cutting

The Picot dies create the same effect with one pass of the die through your die cutting machine and when used in conjunction with the Groovi plate, you can add the single or double line to give it the professional look, quickly and easily allowing you to concentrate on your artwork.

You can also achieve the “picot” look on paper and card using the dies as well, so they are not just for parchment craft!

All of our Nested Picot dies have been designed to work with our Basic Nested Die shapes to allow for further level of matting and layering

Great offer, though thankfully I have all of these, but having seen the preview of items on Fridays show, I see there are more lovely dies to tempt me, on top of Tina’s lovely new groovi Parchlet designs. xx

Just catching up with the blog – I have used the dies & Groovi plates for parchment & paper but haven’t tried embossing the paper using the Groovi plate. Will have to give it a go.
Glad to hear that Ragnar & Eric are behaving themselves – so far !!
