Less is More

Less is More

Hi there

Thanks for popping in. Been gearing up for our Moment of Clarity/Craftalong-a-Barbie tomorrow at 3pm. We’re using those beautiful butterfly stamps, illustrated by Cherry Green.

I was just chatting to Grace on Facetime whilst stamping out this rather simple, classy, super wall art, that I want to share with you tomorrow too….

“I did the lineart on those!” she said. I had quite forgotten that Grace can also process hand-drawn art in Illustrator. Quite a skill it is too. We actually redraw everything before it is made into stamps or Groovi plates. Every single line, dash and dot. Time consuming but quite therapeutic. That’s why our stamps are so perfect; the line art is immaculate.

You could add a flash of colour here and there, perhaps even a dash of mica powder blue with a paint brush…personally, I like the black on ivory.

My friend Greg Lashmar has offered to make frames to fit our triple mounts too. How cool is that! So if you have a special occasion coming up, and you want to go special, then contact Greg directly, and he will make a frame to fit your 3-way art. His email address is: workshop@aspectframing.co.uk

I look forward to putting these Butterfly stamps through their paces with you tomorrow. I’ve got a few tricks and tips on how to stamp on Designer parchment, how to inject a little colour into the art. Because they really are glorious in colour…

If you would like these stamps, then head on over to our website and treat yourself. CLICK HERE. Special introductory price .

See you tomorrow in the SHAC at 10am. We’re taking the bus to the coast! And NO! We’re NOT going to Beachy Head!

Stay safe –

Love and Hugs

  7. My butterfly stamps arrived yesterday, they are gorgeous. The black on ivory is so elegant.
I had quite a few frames left over from my workshop and art class days which I have been using to frame some projects. However, I have made a note of Greg’s details as I will need more frames before the end of the year. Thank you for that information.
Loving the sunshine, been for a short walk today, feeling liberated.

  13. I have been busy helping out my daughter, who is crippled with sciatica at the moment, so not much time to join the SHAC. Having my 2nd jab tomorrow, so fingers crossed I will have time at the weekend to catch up. Not a stamper myself, but those butterflies are really beautiful. Hugs. Annette X

  14. Oh gorgeous. My stamps arrived so I’m all ready for tomorrow afternoon. I shall have to miss ShacShac in the morning (got to go and have two teeth removed!!!! ) so hope I’m OK by 3.00 for the Craftalong… I did have a little playtime with the butterflies and stamped/fussy cut a couple on card and acetate. They look really nice.

  15. All set ready for tomorrow, see you at 10am & 3pm. I like the black ink on the ivory stamp board & the triptych panels give the finishing touch.

Take care and stay save,Trijntje Huppel

  17. Hello Barb, well they say resistance is futile right. I will not have them in time for this afternoon if I can sneak time away from work for a while, but yes seeing your triptych, I have bought the butterfly and moths stamps sets, so looking forward to all your tips and inspiration. Take care and stay safe everyone. Bx
