Elf Hunt 2020

Elf Hunt 2020

Hi there,

Thanks for popping in. Can you believe it’s December 1st tomorrow?!?!? Doesn’t seem possible, does it. Where did that year go? Well, one day at a time, it did. It comed and it goed.

This Christmas may be a little different (or a lot different) for many of us this year. It is what it is. But one tradition we CAN keep up is our Clarity Elf Hunt!

The hunt begins again tomorrow, 1st December, and you’ll be pleased to know there have been some new arrivals to our little elf family. We’re delighted to introduce Evie and Elfie, the elf children.

Lucy drew them this year, and they are delightful. When we were trying to pick names, I suggested Effie and Offie, but Evie and Elfie are probably nicer. I was having what you might call an Effieoffie day….

If you’re new to us and perhaps don’t know how it works, please allow me to explain. During Advent, we ask you to hunt for our Clarity elves – this year it’s the kids, Evie and Elfie, hidden somewhere on our Clarity website, somewhere behind, in, on or under 24 different products.

Every morning at 11am, we’ll give you a new clue in the form of a little ditty written by myself, to help you figure out the hiding places of those cheeky, elf children. Some are easy peasy lemon squeezy, some will make you wonder whether you’re on the right website! If you are signed up to our emails, we will automatically send you a daily email with the verse/clue of the day. We will also post the clue on our Clarity Facebook page daily, so you can go back and look if you missed a day and want to catch up.

As you discover each hiding place, make a note of the product you find them with that day. Once you’ve got all 24 products, send us an email with your entire list by December 28th to elfhunt@claritystamp.com. If you got all 24 correct answers, you will be entered into a prize draw for a whopping £200 Clarity Gift Hamper.

The results will be announced on Monday 4th January 2021.

Check your inboxes for the first clue tomorrow, or go to Clarity Facebook.

Happy hunting!

  1. Oh great fun. I love the elf hunt. I like the names they have but the names you suggested suit my mood on Saturday just gone!
Hope you have a relaxing evening.
    Love and hugs xxx

  2. How exciting this Elf hunt!!!
The Elf family looks fantastic and they will have a lot of adventures I think.
Have loved today Shac and the wreath making.
Stay save and lots of love

  3. Think Effie (a good Scottish name) and Offie are well named. They will always be that to be now. It’s exactly how I feel at the moment.

    1. I do love the elf hunt. Trouble is I trail through the website and see things I want.
Christmas will certainly be different for us, no family visits this year just not safe. Grandson sent home from school today to isolate, that is a real worry as his dad is extremely vulnerable. I shall do my best to make it festive here though for us two. X X

  4. Ooh I love the elf hunt! The new elf children look very cute indeed.
Well Barb, you are indeed a temptress! I watched you this morning and I did place another order and will be getting that beautiful new stencil. My logic was that you will really appreciate it! Haha!
You know what they say, ‘Every little helps’! Hugs Gilly x

  5. Just love the elf hunt. Can’t believe they are now married with children. How time flies. I too liked the names Effie and Offie. Good luck everyone.

  6. Cannot believe it’s been a year do love the elf hunt least I can do that while we wait for are move hopefully next week 10th finding it frustrating waiting know as all packed. So tomorrow can go hunt for those little children who about they will be a cheeky pair up to mischief through out the website xxx

  7. Think I’d have gone with Effie and Offie too – it’s definitely been an “Effie Offie” year! 🤣 You are such a bit of me, Barbara!

  8. I loved it last year. But it made me spend. Have 2 orders still to arrive, so I will try to be good and only look for the elf’s.

  9. I, like the other Karen couldn’t find one last year. The very last one actually (very disappointing to get that far and fail at the last hurdle). I thought I had found it but was wrong. So I aim to do better this year. Can’t wait.

  10. Oh I love the elf hunt, but I become obsessed! Funnily enough, a dear friend dropped off an Advent calendar for me this evening (at age 70 it is my first one ever!) and it is a Gin-mas cocktail calendar (she knows me well!). Well, that is me every day of Advent, settling down with a gin cocktail to find Effie and Offie. Sorry, but those names have stuck in my head and will probably be used often, when I can’t find the clues. You have cheered me up no end, so thank you for taking the time to write all the clues and providing us with lots of fun and for someone, an amazing prize. Hugs. Annette X

  11. I can’t believe it’s here again so quick! Great-niece has just face timed to thank us for her and her brother’s advent calendars – she’s just going to bed so she can wake up to open the first window. I had a little flash back of me and my sis doing the same. Love the new additions to the elf family. It’s going to be a funny old Christmas but we’ll get through it wont we. X

  12. It’s my first year for the elf hunt but thank you for the opportunity Barbara, this sounds like fun. During the last few weeks I’ve studied the website constantly and spent far too much and now my bank manager has asked to see me for an interview 🤭 . We’ve had a family zoom conference and like you Barbara have all decided to stay put in our own homes this year. As disappointing as this is I can’t help thinking that it’s an ideal opportunity to have non stop crafting with my new goodies. When life brings you lemons make lemonade eh Barbara? God bless xx

  13. This year has certainly flown by, so much I didn’t get to do, but onething I do have is a vast stash of finished cards.
Congratulations to Elvis and Elvira (aka Misself) on the appearance of their offspring Evie and Elfie. The elf hunt is a welcome (but addictive) distraction for December. I shall be looking every day.
Placed a last sale order today and will be ordering these youngsters later.
    Stay safe

  14. I like Effie and Offie and they will be forever stuck at that. We have decided not to meet up. Just because you can doesn’t mean you should. We will be organising Christmas in July and I will be clapping the NHS on my drive, on my own if necessary. I suggest everyone feeling weird at Christmas joins in. We need to seriously wise up if we think our day is worse than a shift on an ICU watching people dying or being maimed for life. Or waiting for that phone call.

  15. Only seems like yesterday we were doing this last Christmas. But oh my goodness what a year! Two things have occupied my mind all year, COVID-19 and the SHAC SHAC, one helped me cope with the other. Thanks Barbara xx

  16. Hi Barb,
Can’t believe that it’s a year since the last elf hunt. Looking forward to trying to find Effie and Offie ( I think they’ll always be that now like others have said) every day. Love and hugs Alison xxx

  17. Looking forward to the Elf hunt, your names will stick with me after this awful year. They are really cute Barbara. We are in a bit of a quandary about being with family or not for Christmas, I do think its risky as all the Granchildren go to different schools etc, but really want to see them. Have to make a decision soon, goingbto see how things go when the lockdown finishes, at the moment the shops are getting really crowded, whatever is it going to be like after lockdown. I feel as though I just want to stay in and hibernate at the moment.

  18. Love the elf hunt, & the twins will no doubt get up to some mischief & get in to some awkward hiding places to really test our detective skills.
Having placed an order yesterday I thought I was done but today could not find my dorso oil or buff /black paper pack anywhere so rather than spend any more time turning the house upside down & just getting frustrated I decided to reorder whilst I could. Forgot to add the children so they will have to wait until next time.

  19. Hello Barb, so glad the Elf hunt is back, and great to see the Elf Children. I think the names are great, but your choice did make me laugh out loud. Can’t wait for the fun to begin later this morning. Good luck and happy hunting everyone. Stay safe and take care. Bx
