Partial Art. Is that a thing?

Partial Art. Is that a thing?

Hi there.

Thanks for popping in. Partial Art. Is that a thing? Well, it is now! I hereby dub all partially used stamp images PARTIAL ART!! Shall I copyright it? Shall I hereby decree that PARTIAL ART has nothing to do with MARTIAL ART but everything to do with stamping!

Tomorrow at 9am (and then again at 1pm) on HOCHANDA.com (best little Craft TV channel in the world) I shall be having a play with the whole idea of only using partsastamps. Or using large stamps to completely cover small shapes.

If you are a visitor to our SHAC-Shack, then please be aware that we will be half an hour later than usual tomorrow, at 10.30am instead of 10am. Only because Iโ€™m on telly till 9-10, and I have to switch over from Skype to Facebook, which may be a little challenging. Last time we lost the sound, remember?

But anyway. PARTIAL ART here we come. Tinaโ€™s Mandalas, Cherry Greenโ€™s Doodleology stamps and her Giant Hares all lend themselves perfectly to this real easy, arty stamping trick.

Stamp off the edge? Is that it? Yep. Or chop up the art till you love it. See you at 9. I have a feeling you will love these new Mandalas stamps….

Love and hugs

  1. Definitely more into partial art than martial art!! Lol. Need to get up early tomorrow morning!! Lol. Hope you have a good day. Pouring here. Just my luck when I need to go out but it’s all good. Don’t need to water the garden!! Lots of love. Hxx

  2. Looking forward to tomorrow for the programme and the Shak. Today was great. Very distressing afternoon. Water leaking into my craft room from the roof and it has ruined a little canvas you made me for my birthday. I cannot rescue it except for the signature. Really gutted and now worried about my other half who is busy climbing on the roof. It shall pass and tomorrow is another day. Big thank you to whoever put Happy Anniversary on the packaging of my last order. What a star. Clarity is the best.

    1. So sorry to hear that. Hope your OH manages to stop the water even if it has to be a temporary fix. I have everything crossed for you. Did you or anyone else happen to take a picture of the canvas to send out to show people? Some firms will print on to canvas – it can’t be the original but it might ease the sick feeling knowing you can cover another canvas. It could be part of the claim, if you end up having to go to the insurance.

  3. Can’t wait to see you in action with these. Putting you Gray spin on Tina’s stamps. Totally agree with you about the partial art! I used to take a lot of photos where I cropped in close to the subjects face losing part of it from the frame! Always made a more interesting portrait! Same idea with partial art! Can’t wait see. I’m sure I will be dying to get my hands on a set to play with! Love and hugs. Christina

  4. Looking forward to Hochanda and the Shac tomorrow!๐ŸŒน
Don’t hope it’s too much tomorrow with both after each other .

  5. Will record tomorrow’s shows as lots of things going on that I must sort out.
Eyes tested this morning, need new specs, so spent a fortune
on ones I really liked instead of making do like last year. Got to treat oneself occasionally.
Absolutely bucketing down here this evening although the morning was mild and sunny. Looking forward to more cooler days and nights.
    Stay safe ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’

  6. Hello Barb, looking forward to these shows, the stamps are gorgeous, and I can just imagine what you have thought up to show them off. Partial Art works for me. Take care and stay safe everyone. Bx
