The Happy Couple

The Happy Couple

Hi there

Thanks for popping in. Been raining all day here, but that’s ok. The farmers will be happy. But not for much longer! Then they’ll need the sun again!

I was looking at our lovely collection of Fresh Cut Dies. They’ve been around for about as long as Dave and I have been married – just over 2 years. And I know this to be correct, because it was our laser cut wedding invitations which set the Fresh Cut Aperture Dies wheels in motion! I drew the pic, and we lasered them at work. Then our crafting friends said “oooh! That would make a fabulous die!” And the rest – as they say – is history.

We didn’t really celebrate the wedding anniversary last week. Two years is a modest milestone, although we have been together for a lot longer than that!

Nonetheless, I would like to shine a light on the little Happy Couples design today…I have simply cut it out of loads of different Designer toppers which were lying around. Very pretty.

So how about a little bloggy candy? In order of appearance, can you name which Designer Petites Pad the topper are from? Write what you think From 1 to 7 in an email to barbara@claritystamp.com. If you get them right, you’ll go in a draw to win a £20 Gift voucher and a Happy Couples canvas made by myself.

In the meantime, I have also reduced the price of the die by 50%. Yep. Half price. Just till midnight Sunday. Time to get it if you haven‘t already!

Time to stop for the day. The other half of the Happy Couple has just come home from work.

Stay safe.

Love and Hugs

  1. I love this particular die, not just because it brings back memories of a special day, but also because it is so easily adapted to all sorts of occasions. No rain here right now, so I am off into the garden to put in a few more plants to brighten my view. Hope it is dry enough for you to have a stroll with Dave. xxx Maggie (Silvercrafter)

  2. The petites and these dies really do complement each other.
No rain today but plenty of intermittent sunshine, much cooler so lots of Groovin’ done.
Hope all is well with you and yours.
    Stay safe 🍒🍒🍒

  3. Used this for a wedding anniversary card last week . Went for walk round Chartwell today , in the rain , typical of my luck the one time I manage to book a slot with the national trust it rains 🤣🤣

  4. Used this for a wedding anniversary card last week . Went for walk round Chartwell today , in the rain , typical of my luck the one time I manage to book a slot with the national trust it rains 🤣🤣 have a good evening x

  5. Are you sure you don’t have a camera in my crafting area? I have just used this die for a golden wedding card (had a bit of trouble with it ‘cockling’ when I cut it from a card blank, but I used the cut bit on it’s own) How do you get such nice clean cuts? I can’t afford a Geminii, I have a big shot, but still can’t get a good cut – even with cut tidy. Any advice please?
Hope you and Dave have a good evening.

  6. Hi Barbara,
My wedding anniversary today, 41 years! Weather much the same as it was when we got married, grey and blustery. Been out for a long walk and a picnic by the sea here in Suffolk.
Have these dies and use them a lot.

Going to spend an hour with you now in the shack while my Dave makes me an anniversary supper!

  7. Lovely die for your wedding 2 years ago!!!💝🥂
We made our own weddingcard and also with the birth of our 3 children.
Hope to join you again tomorrow in the Shac Shag!!
    Greetings, Trijntje Huppel

  8. Doesn’t matter how many years. The love always needs celebrating even if it’s just a hot cocoa and a cuddle.

  9. It’s my favourite die ever!
I get very positive comments from people when ever I use it to produce a card no matter the occasion!
    Well done

  10. I love the fresh cut dies this one has been used quite a bit. We have a large anniversary coming up next year, 50 years. not planning anything special at the moment though will wait and see what the situation is. Might put it on hold as I would quite like a good celebration. xx

  11. Thanks for the competition, love this die, just been on the p.c. To look at them better ! I’ll have a go but not sure I’m going to get them all right x

  12. The Fresh Cut Dies and Designer Toppers have been such a great addition to Clarity’s goodies and have opened up many crafting avenues! I love this Happy Couple die and even more so today as we have been watching a pair of robins nesting in our garage (thanks to the “lockdown ” we haven’t been using our car!) And today the baby birds fledged and we’ve happily watched the parents feeding them on the lawn. The birds in this die will now always be robins to me!

  13. Your cotton anniversary possibly does feel modest but next year it is leather. Could think of all sorts with that.

  14. I love this die and use it a lot. Thank you for the blog candy a bit late to look tonight, hope to tomorrow if it’s not to late to send it in. Pity to not celebrate your anniversary but its awkward this year so I dont expect we will either, 52 years this year all being well. No rain here but very dull, hope you managed a walk when the rain eased. See you tomorrow at 10 xxx
