When Japonica met Viola…

When Japonica met Viola…

Hi there,

Thanks for popping in. 27th January already? It can’t be! Blimey. I’m still looking at the box of decorations in the dining room which haven’t made it up the loft yet! May as well leave them downstairs at this rate; It’ll be Christmas again before we know it!

Had a great day with Tina yesterday. It was good to catch up and have a proper heart to heart. Your flooding Facebook with your artwork using her designs this weekend certainly did the trick! Thank you xxx

A week or so ago, I showcased a set of entwined floral framers on HOCHANDA. Drew them to go with the Floral ABC.

Very busy show saleswise, but my head was all over the place. Just couldn’t settle, and afterwards the perfectionist in me felt I could have done better. So I have taken one of the samples which I started but didn’t have time to complete, and thought I’d take it through to completion today…

Wanted to explain how you can stretch or expand the entwined framer to accommodate more than one letter, like here:

Dots & Spots Mixed Impressions Texture Stamp in the background.

But now, let’s add half an hour and a tin of Polychromos to this and see where we end up…

Drop shadow makes all the difference….

That’ll do. Let’s trim and blend in the edges.

Find a matching background layer….

All done. Much happier now I’ve actually finished it. Grace wrote a fabulous blog last week about project completion. I’m a box ticker too. How about you? Claritymattersblog.com

Anyway. Time to crack on with prep for TV again. What’s coming up? Come back tomorrow, and I’ll tell you all about it. There’s some pretty fantastic stuff coming up…

Love & Hugs,

Barb xxx

  4. Hello Barbara
You are not alone. My Christmas tree is still under the stairs in its box, waiting to go back up the attic, lol.
Love all these stamps and I like to finish my projects. Get unsettled if I have too many UFOs on the go.

  6. So pleased you had a lovely time with Tina yesterday and found time finish this beautiful project today. I have lots of unfinished projects sadly, but I did make a huge pile of cards yesterday with stamps and dies and backgrounds that were on my craft desk! It’s much tidier now so hopefully I’ll feel more like crafting x

This year seems to be flying already and I’m rushing to catch up on everything which had to be put on hold recently. Pity my body doesn’t work as fast as my mind. Hahaha😀
