Busy Sunday!
Hi there, Thanks for popping in. Running around now, setting up the next counter. What a two hours that was! I KNEW you would love these! And in Groovi too. What a fabulous job Cherry has done. Here’s that technique which I want to share – I just love it! I have used the Bird of Paradise, which just flew out the door, together with the Butterfly, the Dragonfly AND the Seahorse!!
You could do this negative painting type technique with any of them, to equally great effect. All you need is the liquid frisket. I found the empty plastic brush was best as an applicator. Cleans up perfectly with thinners.
Stamp onto stencil card with black Archival 
Paint with liquid frisket (masking fluid)Allow to dry 
Dab a selection of Artistry ink colours onto a blending mat. Spritz with water 
Sandwich the blending mat inside a poly bag and spread the ink. 
Press the masked bird down onto the watery ink. 
Leave the frisket in place and sponge yellow ink in behind the bird. 
Pick a caption from Barb’s sticker book, add a black edge 
remove the frisket, add a caption, edge the card with a Sharpie 
Mount on a white cardblank. 
Add a drop shadow with a black pencil.
Must crack on! 6pm launch with the Picot Flowers. I think they will be popular…

I love the background technique, Barbara. I am definitely going to try it. The stamps are so beautiful… I can’t afford them all, but I will definitely be buying at least two! But which two…..????

Just finishing catching up on this afternoon shows were great and wow so beautiful could believe I hadn’t recorded the shows how did I forget to set record thought I had so watched on iPad just about to watch 6 pm this one is recording must check tomorrow s show are set will do that first know xxx
Hi Barb, love your shows today, as always, both products and your demos. Seems I’m not alone with all those sellouts eh!!! Watching you has given me some calming Mindfulness today too. Although no so much this hour as I’m trying to multitask – athletics on the telly, and you on my laptop in front of me! Not good for my head, but so what. Paula seems such a lovely lady, she’s been a pleasure to watch alongside you too. I didn’t manage any crafting myself, sadly, I do like to craft along with you, doing my own thing, but hopefully I’ll make up for it tomorrow. I look forward to seeing the rest of your demos. love you xxx

I am in the dog house 🐶 as I not only ordered both the stamps and Groovi plates but the other set of Cherry’s stamps too. Great show, loved your techniques. Then looked at the picot flowers and ordered the bundle. I hope the OH brings my dinner to the kennel – ha ha.

Great shows this afternoon, loved both stamps and Groovi and demos of both very helpful but…I’ve been good and not ordered….yet lol! Saw the picot flowers launch show and while they’re nice I don’t think they’re for me, but it’d be a boring world if we all liked exactly the same! I’m sure there’ll be more along to tempt me soon enough. Will still be watching tomorrow’s shows as I always learn something xx

Well done Barbara, great show again. Ordered the stamps. Thank you for the step by step instruction but I have a problem reading all of the text as some of it is in black. Could it be clearer please?

Hi Lynda, I see your problem, some of the writing is in blue and hard to read. I think that could be because, while Barbara is writing , anything that is a product is automatically turning into a clicky link to the relevant shop webpage. Try increasing the brightness of your screen, that makes the blue writing easier to see, and zooming in helps too if you are viewing on your phone/tablet. Hope that can help xx
Great shows today. Ordered the stamps as I liked the effect of the stamp on the parchment giving a different look to the Groovi for a change. Not saying the Groovi plates won’t end up in my stash as well at some point !! Looking forward to tomorrows shows if stock levels allows them to go ahead as it has been another busy weekend, can’t believe a week has gone by already since we were at Leyburn.
