Throwback Thursday!

Throwback Thursday!

Hi everyone,

Well, that is the prep all done for the 2pm-4pm Show on Sunday – checked, double-checked and triple checked and all packed ready to go! (although I will check it all again tomorrow!)

Thanks for all the lovely comments on yesterdays blog – the artwork is amazing and I am so glad that you all enjoyed it.

With it being a Thursday, the first of the month, and the lovely Maria’s Birthday! (Happy Birthday TV Wifey!!) I thought we could have a bit of a “Throwback Thursday”.

I asked the guys in the office to help me out and they came up with the idea of “throwing back” to a previous YouTube Tutorial. I did this one in February!

So, if you are bored and looking for something occupy you for half an hour or so, then go grab a cup of tea, coffee or a drink of your liking (maybe a biscuit, piece of cake or something more healthy!) and enjoy!

GROOVI TWO TONE PARCHMENT PAPER A4

JOSIE’S PTC GROOVI PLATES

I remember launching these on TV and they flew out the door!

They were designed by the lovely Josie Davidson (who I have the pleasure of working with this coming Sunday – excited!) Josie thought that it would be an idea to have a Parchment version of an Artist Trading Cards (ATC) We call them Parchment Trading Cards (PTC). Not only are the designs perfect for this, but they are great for creating mini pieces of artwork and perfect for you to practice your parching skills – colouring, whitework, perforating, etc.

If you are on Facebook, check out Groovi Worldwide. Not only is it a great place for ideas, inspiration, help, and advice, but Josie also organises a monthly PTC Swap which is great fun!

To keep the naughty step nice and warm until Sunday afternoon, we have reduced the price on some of the items in the tutorial by 20% (plus Club discounts of course!)

Right, time to have some food and an early night!

Happy Crafting!

  1. Hi Paul, glad you have your prep all done. It seems prep gets done quicker when you and Barb are apart, just an observation…!!! Thank you for the throwback youtube. I’m up to February in my catching up, so I’ll be watching you do this, hopefully tomorrow… I don’t do traditional Groovi, so hopefully I’ll get some new ideas from your demo. See you tomorrow xx

    1. Hello Brenda,
That was my thoughts as well. Obviously Paul works quicker with no-one to talk to.

By the way, I loved your card yesterday.
      Love
      Roz.x

        1. Thanks Roz, very kind of you to say.
I forgot to wish Maria a happy birthday!
And I meant to say, my wee cat seems ok now, what a relief, although I’m still keeping a close eye on her. Guess she maybe had a mishap and not let on, going crazy with the butterflies and moths that have been coming in recently, and her being really pale was the result. I found the wee pads on one of her feet are bruised too, so who knows what she’s done to herself. I think it’s time I stop thinking she’s going to grow out of her crazy antics, she’s 7…!!! I just walked into the kitchen to see her walking round in circles round the table leg, thought she’d lost the plot but there was some wee beastie she was following!!! Cat of many lives, not just 9… (sorry for talking about my wee companion in life, she means the world to me)

  2. Brilliant that all your prep is done for Sunday’s shows. Will watch the You-tube later. Thank-you for all the wonderful offers. x

Hubby has threatened to padlock me to the top of the naughty stairs and throw away the key if I buy this weekend. Well, I will have to take my chances !!! There is so much great stuff on offer πŸ˜‚ it will be hard to resist.
    Safe journey tomorrow.

  12. Nice to get all your prep done for Sunday. Look forward to watching the shows.
So impressed with all the cards you showcased yesterday, such talent.
I have a confession to make – papercraft has taken a back seat at the moment, I am obsessed with crochet and getting interested in embroidery. However I know I have my crafty stuff waiting for me and enjoy learning from the shows. All I need is more hours in the day.xx
