What you been up to Barbie?

What you been up to Barbie?

Hi there,

Thanks for popping in. Monday Monday, eh. But it has been a pleasure to do today today! The lovely Dee Fitzsimmons and I have been preparing for her very special TV début on Friday evening on HOCHANDA. Once we got Sam settled into recording youtubes with Simon, I turned my attention to the wonderful mixed media collection of beautiful character stamps illustrated by Dee. We are launching them together. Not that Dee needs my help, but when I suggested that she would be fine on her own, her eyes got even bigger and rounder than the girls’ in the artwork!!!

So she’s in charge of teaching you how to colour in the eyes and lips and faces, and I’m in charge of the backgrounds. Love it. Teamwork makes the dream work once again….

Shall I show you what I have rustled up today? Hang on, let me find a pic.

Hahahaha. I know I know. I was only supposed to do the background! But then I could hardly leave her naked and empty, now could I ?!? Dee is Scottish, so I tried to colour her dress like a tartan.

Yes. I think these stampsets are perfect. There are lots of other elements in each set, plus masks and very empowering sentiment sheets. Four characters in total. 3 girls and 1 boy. But let’s not spoil the Friday launch and give it all away! It’s Dee’s launch; I’m just there to ensure a calm Dee!

Time to go and find Sam! She’s going for it with the Youtubes. Simon said she was brilliant. And very funny.

Love & Hugs,

Barb xxx

  1. It’s a great week for clarity on TV this week. We had Lou getting messy at the weekend then it’s our Maria on Wednesday doing all sorts of lovely things then you and Dee on Friday. All great products to play with too! I just love it. And looking forward to seeing our Sam’s you tubes.
Love your take of Dee’s girl! I bet your shows with her will be fab!
    Love and hugs Xxxx

  2. Wow! That looks amazing! Really looking forward to seeing you both on tv. Having a break away in Warwick staying with my sister and brother-in-law and living in a house! So strange (but lovely) after living in the motor home for so long.
Love and hugs to you Barb and the rest of team clarity – not forgetting all of you lovely people on the blog, Gilly xxx

  3. Sounds great day no Monday stress. Just fun time my kind of Monday. Great things to look forward to cannot wait hopefully tomorrow will be just as good xxx

  4. Wgat a wonderful sneak peek, so looking forward to seeing you both and the amazing goodies on offer x

  5. Love the wording on your project!!! Very appropriate. Looking forward to seeing what the other stamps and sentiments are like. Think you may have another sell out.

At the moment I’m trying to get my some inspiration for two 80th birthday cards for men and a Ruby wedding card for a super critical couple. My mojo has gone out the window today. Oh well – there’s always tomorrow.

    Hugs 🍒🍒🍒

  6. Wow Clarity are certainly taking us to new levels with our craft. I saw Lou’s first show but need to catch up on the rest as we decided we had paint the kitchen before replacing the cooker hood as it was a different shape. Having sown the seed I thought I had better help but it took longer than expected as we still have a few things to put back. Hopefully we will be all finished so I can watch Maria on Wednesday as I love the look of Alliums & that’s before we get to the weekend !!

  7. What a lovely day it’s been, the little bird is quite appropriate as we have a very brave blackbird in the garden who’s trying his luck with our Sally cat – he’s teasing her something rotten lately! Look forward to catching up with all the new things. X

  8. I spent a great day with the lovely ladies of the ENGG. Saw some awesome work and ate cake and ice cream. Bliss!
It was good to see Tina looking so well and in good spirits and the beaded card she showed on Facebook is even more beautiful in real life.
This Groovi lark is brilliant! Hugs. Annette X
