I say! I say! Time for a limerick competition!
Hi there!
Thanks for popping in.
Happy Monday. December 10th. Yikes!! 2 weeks today it’ll be Christmas Eve!
How’s the Elf Hunt going? I found today’s first thing. Nothing like a bit of harmless fun, eh?
Monday’s blog is flowers and trees, so how about a spin on yesterday’s step by step.
You can take the theory from yesterday’s card,
use a different Fresh Cut Die, like one from the Make a Wish Hidden Hares Collection
and turn it into a gift too…
Attach the sticky artpiece to a little 4″ x 4″ canvas board. We sell ‘em!!
Just run a colour Promarker or Sharpie pen around the
Then attach the 4” x 4” to a 6” x 6” canvas board. We sell them too! Ooooh! Look who I found!!!
Lovely gift.
There’s a limerick in this pic…ready?
There once was a Hare called Dick,
Who loved to sing to his chick.
La la la la la
La la la la la
La la la la la la la la.
Here’s the game! Copy and paste the first two lines below, then finish the limerick. Try and keep it clean!
There are lots of words that rhyme with Dick, so this should be easy!!!!
Prize? Ah yes.
We will pick the best Dick Limerick on Wednesday, and send the happy winner a £20 Clarity Gift Voucher.
# Gottabeinittawinnit!
Love & Hugs,
Barb

Hello Barb, Love todays creation, those dies are beautiful, and also appear on my wish list. With regards to the Limerick competition, here goes.
There once was a Hare called Dick,
Who loved to sing to his chick.
He also went out in showers,
Brought her plenty of flowers
Crossing his big ears, hoping this would do the trick.
Good Luck all

Who loved to sing to his chick
It was always spondaic
And even prosaic
As they frolicked in fields quite idyllic.

His chick was delighted
when he then departed

she decided in haste
to toss him away with a flick.

Who loved to sing to his chick.
She ruffled her feathers
put on her leathers
and chased him off with a stick!
Oh well – I tried!!!
Got my baby light wave bundle today, very pleased with it. Fits into my craft bag a treat. Now I can really craft on the go! Thanks Barbara. Found Elvis too.

Who loved to sing to his chick
Her hubby took flight
Got him right in the night
So now he limps with a stick

There once was a hare called Dick,
Who used to sing to his chick,
She flounced and she fluttered,
And was heard to mutter
“Oi mate, you taking the mick?”
There once was a Hare called Dick,
Who loved to sing to his chick.
She said “I’m not a Hare,
We can’t be a pair”
He cried “Don’t be so bloody pedantic”
Please can I change my entry to read “blinking pedantic” as my OH thinks I shouldn’t swear on public forums….. Soss 🙊
there once was a hare called Dick
who loved to sing to his chick
he met with his grumpy friend Mick
and said the singing is getting on my wick
and that was the end of Dick,s chick.
That’s a bit sad. Please Mike can we have a second verse to end on a happy tune? 🐥🎶
Evening bloggy friends, enjoy your rhyming! Xx
There once was a hare called Dick
Who loved to sing to his chick
He sang songs penned by Dave
Through the night at a rave
Then rang Barb to call in sick.

There once was a a hare called Dick
Who loved to sing to his chick
She said “I prefer Elvis
With his gyrating pelvis.
It really does the trick!!”
There once was a Hare called Dick,
Who loved to sing to his chick.
He crooned in her ear
So she cuddled him near
Now that’s what I call romantic(k)!
I was playing with my hare dies this morning for the first time – how amazing they are! Will be ringing the office tomorrow to sign up for the new club.
There once was a hare called Dick
Who loved to sing to his chick,
‘Hey there babe’ he cooed,
And continued to woo
While all she did was feel sick !
Have just spent a wet and windy weekend in Cornwall and just caught up with all the elves (not in Cornwall, the ones on the website !). Lovely projects ! X
Some great limericks there. I wish I could join in, but I am useless at it, so I shall just enjoy reading them.
I have just written all my Christmas cards, So can now post them. Another job crossed off the list! As you say, only two weeks to go. Scary, the way time flies. 😳
Hugs Annette X

There once was a hare called Dick
Who loved to sing to his chick
One day he went hoarse
No more signing of course
That pleased his chick, but not Dick!!
Singing not signing!!!!
There once was a hare called Dick
Who loved to sing to his chick
She said “ oi give it a rest”
Cos Elvis sounds best
So he moved on pretty darn quick
There once was a hare called Dick
Who loved to sing to his chick
She said that is awful
It cannot be lawful.
She had to be brave!
Called up young Dave
With his trusty guitar
He played bar after bar
He cried” Hare Dick you need to be slick
Or you’ll lose your sweet, pretty chick!
The outcome was great
Hare Dick met his fate
They snuggled together on awesome date.
There once was a hare called Dick,
Who loved to sing to his chick,
He got her in trouble,
Was off at the double,
Hare today, gone tomorrow, he’s quick.
HaHa! Brilliant. 😂
Well here goes:

And she thought she’d join in
But all of a sudden
The car gave a shudder
And they both ended up in a ditch
There once was a hare called Dick,
Who loved to sing to his chick,
Such a noise he created
That the earth it vibrated
So he gave up his loud rhetoric.

Who loved to sing to his chick,
She was very pleased,
Till he called her Louise,
As her name was Fluffy Flick.

You’re singing is shocking
All it does is make me feel sick.

Who loved to sing to his chick,
He caused such a commotion
With his Locomotion
Simon Cowell signed him up pretty quick.
There once was a hare called Dick,
Who loved to sing to his chick,
At night he would croon
‘Neath the silvery moon
‘Til a farmer shot him dead cos he was thick.
(Apologies for any offence caused by suggesting Dick was thick or that he was actually shot – no hares were hurt in the process of creating this limerick and Dick is living happily with his chick in a large warren in a secret location somewhere in the UK).
There once was a hare called Dick
Who loved to sing to his chick
He sang night and day
And did it “his way!”
But the birds, they all took the Mick!!

Who loved to sing to his chick
He sang a fine song
And his chick carolled along
As they waited for good old St Nick
Tried to go for a bit of a Christmas theme! Some great limericks here, everyone.
There once was a Hare called Dick,
Who loved to sing to his chick.
But she preferred Dave who was clever and brave,
So she got rid of Dick geolli quick! (Don’t want a hare on the plate!😉)

Who loved to sing to his chick.
Bit she preferred Dave who was clever and brave,
So she got rid of Dick geolli quick! (Don’t want a hare on the plate! 😉)
There once was a hare called Dick,
Who loved to sing to his chick,
A lullaby he sang,
And across the glade it rang,
But it really got on her wick.
Had to have a go but really not that good at limericks. Loving looking for Elvis, First task each morning. xx
Today’s offering.
There once was a hare called Dick
Who loved to sing to his chick
But she played it cool
She was nobody’s fool
Oh his life would be no picnic.
This is a beautiful canvas featuring the waste from the die Barbara. Here is my limerick –
There once was a hare called Dick,
Who loved to sing to his chick,
Whilst trying his best,
She just wasn’t impressed,
Said, “It could be a touch more melodic!”.
There once was a Hare called Dick,
Who loved to sing to his chick.
The bird on hís head, called Mick.
Every bird in the tree sings to Dick,
But the Hare sees thought the trick.
Kind regards from Austria.

Hi Barbara
Thank you for the wonderful step by step again. I don’t know where you find the time to look after us as well as you do. Thank you.
Here is my attempt at the limerick –
There once was a Hare called Dick,
Who loved to sing to his chick.
At this time of year

When he does duets with good old Saint Nick!!
