What a fortnight!
Hi there!
Greetings from beautiful Salcombe, South Devon. And what a place it is indeed! Grace and Mark certainly picked a Bingo-Spot here at the Spa – and I don’t mean we gather together in the bar to play Bingo in the evening either! Oh no. Judging by the Lamborghinis, Silver Shadows and Mclarens in the car park, Bingo is not on the entertainment schedule here! And I do enjoy a game too!
Anyway, we are going walking today. Hiking along the coastline and blowing away the cobwebs. Not that we’ve had much time lately to stop long enough to gather any dust ! 2 weeks ago today I was revving up for the Clarity debut on QVC Germany!
And now here we are on the Devon Riviera, enjoying the kids‘ wedding gift to us. Wow.
But then you know what they say: a rolling stone gathers no moss. And we are certainly not gathering anything but momentum !!!
So it is very good to sit on the balcony , watch the boats sail by, and reflect. Then get very very grateful for so very very much.
Got to go. Time to walk off that full English breakfast!
Love and hugs,
Barb

Looks like the perfect spot to relax. if sightseeing is your thing We used to take the River Maid from Salcombe to Kingsbridge and Dartmouth is lovely if you want to explore further afield
Hi Barb & Dave,
Beautiful spot to be in! We had a fabulous holiday around there. We stayed on a caravan site at Kingsbridge and toured around. The dog ( God bless her) was really old and it was so hot ( especially for us from the NE) and she loved Salcombe – couldn’t get her out of the water! She was just so happy lying in it. Very happy memories. I’m hoping that you two will come back with equally happy ones – you both deserve the break. Love and hugs,Alison xxx

Hi Alison – sounds like you have had a great day and you seem set for another one tomorrow. Say Hi to Chris M for me and I hope that she is well.
Yes, we have had some very heavy showers today – it has seemed very strange. The plants have loved it.
Lots of love and hugs, Gilly xxx
Hi Alison, remember me to Chris B when you meet please. Not sure if we will manage to get to Leyburn this year, but you never know. We have lots on later this month and well into October.xxx
It looks so beautiful, we had a similar view at the Hamble over the weekend but was in a tent! So not as luxurious but still fun. So glad you are having a wonderful time! Thanks for sharing, much love Jx
It looks absolutely perfect for recharging batteries. So glad you’ve stepped away for a few days in such an ideal place. Perfect choice Grace and Mark! Xx

Looks wonderful, but Barbara, why are you blogging? You are supposed to be getting away from it all for a few days! What would Mark & Grace say or do they know their mum so well they wouldn’t be surprised.
Anyway have a fab few days and tell us all about it on your return.
Enjoy every moment. You both deserve it! Annette X

Hi bloggy friends – there is a definite change in the weather today. Hoping that it won’t rain too much, as it will halt our progress with ‘Operation Cottage’.

Hello Barb and Dave, what a beautiful spot and view, enjoy yourselves, hope you enjoyed the hike too. Take care all. Bx
Such a lovely place spent many weekends there when hubby used to do subaqua in the seventies and eighties. I sat on various beaches with the children waiting their return then off to the pub right on the front, I think it was called The Victory right on the harbours edge. Your picture brought back many lovely memories. Thank you. Patricia
Lovely place to be.
That looks beautiful. We’ve got some rain today, so I’m glad for the garden and the wildlife, but not so much for myself and my guests! Enjoy yourselves and relax xxx
