Charmed, I’m sure!

Charmed, I’m sure!

Hi there,

Thanks for popping in. Been a long day, but productive! So before I turn off the light, just wanted a little simple down time, using one of my favourite dancers which Mel drew: Charm. She always reminds me of our Grace.

Here she is, the lovely thing, together with her best friend Beauty. Aka Lizzy. Another precious girl, who lives in Manchester now…Yet despite the distance, they are besties…

Charm & Beauty

Anyway, Charm stamped using Orange Blossom Archival Ink, on an old Gelpress scrap using acrylic paint and our Leafy Swirl Stencil

Colour her in with Perga Liner B pencils. Work fab on acrylic paint.

Mount on matching coloured card.

Done. There you go. A simple downtime exercise, which took me away from the sordid business of business, and allowed me to just spend a while thinking about two lovely best friends, both of whom I love very much.

Love & Hugs,

Barb

  10. Another lovely cool day here today, very pleasant, but not looking forward to the forthcoming temperature rises.
Don’t have these stamps but use the stencil a lot for backgrounds as it is so versatile.
Have all the gelli plates and am gradually getting used to the larger plate but my favourites are the petites .
Hope all went well with your meeting.

  11. Hi Barb,
Love these stamps but don’t have them-yet! It’s lovely that when you use them, they remind you of two special people. Hope your meeting in London yesterday went well and that you weren’t too shattered when you got home. Sending love and hugs, Alison xxx

    1. Hi bloggy friends,
Guess what I’ve been doing today? Yep! Driving!!! Oh you can’t guess how good it feels to be able to go out when I want without having to ask someone for a lift. I feel as though I’ve got my independence back. I hope that doesn’t sound stupid. Hope everyone has had a good day. Really muggy here again. Love and hugs to you all, Alison xxxx

  12. Hi Barbara
I must use this stencil again, it’s one of my favourites. These stamps are so pretty aren’t they and even more special when they remind you of Grace and Lizzie. I hadn’t realised the pencils worked on acrylic paint, I will invest in some one day.

Friendships made ear,y in life often stay strong. Our son is forty now and lives in Australia, but still keeps in touch with a few school friends and catches up with them when over here. x
