Carpe Diem – Sieze the Day
Hi there.
Thanks for popping in. In a bit of a spin today, catching up with business and piling stuff on my plate at the same time, as you do when Wurka and Hollick are in the building!
And you know, when I get my favourite boy out – no, not Dave. And no, not Poldark. You know THE Boy, it is usually indicative of knocking out a card or piece of artwork quickly because I am having to run off in another direction.
So here he is, the lovely little lad, (STAMPSET is called Fly Away), who has saved my bacon on more than one occasion.
Stamped in black Archival on one of the Shenandoah card petites
Add the Carpe Diem sentiment and highlight using our Pergamano white gel pen. It really IS brilliant!!
Trim the card a tad, and edge with a black Sharpie.
Mount on a white card blank. Done.
Got to go. I can hear Dave diplomatically revving the engine downstairs, which is his way of saying we are running late, wife!
Sheeeeeesh!!!!
Love & Hugs,
Barb
xx

Beautiful, quick and simple. Loving these quick cards at the moment, after watching Maria on Tuesday I made some quick ones, trying to embrace the white space! Xx

You are so dedicated to this blog, love this artwork, however quick it was though without your previous work on the papers… Great product for quick cards
I agree about the Pergamano gel pen. I have been trying to do those lovely gems and needed a white gel pen. Lo and behold, I found a Pergamano one in my kit, which was included in their starter kit a good few years ago. Needless to say, i didn’t get on with parchment then, but I kept the pen and it is as good as new. Of course, I am now loving parchment craft, thanks to Groovi! Have a good evening. Annette X
Love these topper cards, they are so useful. A stamp, a bow or butterfly and voila! an almost instant card. My stash of these is running low so will have to order more.
I had a selection of white gel pens when I was running parchment workshops but they blotched and never seemed to run smoothly. If I can get them reactivated I will give the gems a try this weekend. Failing that I will just have to order a new one.
I love your beautiful quick cards, the boy stamp is gorgeous. So much for hoping you’d have a relaxing day today Barb maybe tomorrow eh!!! xxx
Ahh, that’s so cute. I mean you and Dave as well as the ‘fly boy’ ha! Xx

One of my favourite stamps too, but he’s not been out to fly so much recently! Hope you got to wherever you needed to be on time x
Lovely simple card but so effective, that boy does the trick every time. Just been out watering the pots, had a day off yesterday as it rained all day. You could almost hear the garden saying thank you. I got drenched through to the skin in my “showerproof “ coat.
Wouldn’t like to be playing tennis in this heat. xx

Well I think I had a funny 5 minutes there! They work so well together us what it should read! Xx
What a great combination of the flying boy and the beautiful papers Barbara, and the white gel pen on the lovely sentiment and birds, and the black Sharpie edging are wonderful finishing touches. Hope the day goes well and ends a bit calmer than it began. x
Hi have the card, the first flying boy, and the flying girl but no Carpe Diem to finish off beautiful cards like Barbara’s, Seize The Day just doesn’t look the same. Can Carpe Diem be purchased separately or put into the Members only Sale? XX
Morning Barb….. super blog as the next to-do on my making list is a card for one of my Great Grandsons and the flying boy is out ready. Now I know what to stamp him on – thanks for the inspiration….have a good day xx
Such a great article, thank you for sharing!
Have the paper & the boy but not the words but I do have the word chain alphabet so will have a play with that. Spent a lovely couple of hours in Bromsgrove yesterday with a group of ladies addicted to Groovi & in fact all things Clarity. I think we are all on the naughty step after last weekend & the start of the sale.
Hope everyone is managing to keep cool as the heatwave continues although I understand there has been rain in some areas.
Thanks for the idea Sue have a few word chains but not the full alphabet XX
Almost as good as Poldark, Barbara! I really love this little guy. Gonna order him.
Glad I discovered you guys!
