Clarity Crowborough Open Days 2018

Clarity Crowborough Open Days 2018

Hi there.

Thanks for popping in.

Bit late turning up tonight. Sorry. It has been one of those days. You know, when the hours just trip away, and before you know it, it’s 8pm and you’ve achieved next to nothing!

I want to flag up the Crowborough Open Days which are coming up fast. 15th and 16th June. It’s our annual bash down south,  and a rare opportunity to hook up with like-minded crafters, meet the team and even have a go.

For me personally, those two days are the highlight of the whole Clarity year. It’s when lots of the Design Team get together, and just demo, entertain and share. I don’t think there’s anything like it really.

When we were at Ally pally in April, several people from the London area said they would love to join us, but they didn’t drive. So I got to thinking. There’s no reason we can’t lay on a complimentary shuttle service from Crowborough Train Station to the Community Centre and back. Brother Steve’s got weeks to valet his limo !!! Seriously though, that’s not a problem. If you can get to the station, we can pick you up.

Over the years, we have expanded the Open Days to accommodate our ever-growing company. So whether you’re a stamper, a mixed media lover, a traditional parcher, a Groover and now a Die paper engineer – we’ll have all the bases covered.

We’ll make sure we have a Snip Clinic for those parchers who want to improve their cutting, and there are plenty of places for hubbies to sit and read the paper, and chill. If the sun is out, it’s delightful outside too.

Why do I climb on a chair with a microphone? Well, every hour on the hour we have a raffle, and the prizes are pretty impressive – I pick them!! So the free raffle ticket you are given when you come in is good for all the hours.

Also, I am thinking that this year, since we are getting married the weekend after, we really ought to have a special celebration, don’t you think?  So there will certainly be Wedding cake for everybody. And let’s have a blanket 10% discount on absolutely everything (plus your club discount).

Anyway, tickets are available on the website www.claritystamp.com   £6 each per day. This is more so we can control the numbers; it gets quite busy !! And I need to know how big the cake has to be!!!

FRIDAY

SATURDAY

Or call the office on Monday and order them from one of our friendly staff directly.

Time to go and do nothing.

Love & Hugs,

Barb

  1. I would love to come, but maybe one day. Actually this year I will be returning from a week in Italy, so wouldn’t be able to come anyway, which makes me feel better! I shall just look forward to seeing lots of photos.
Have a good weekend everyone. I shall be playing with my new goodies, which arrived yesterday. Annette X

  3. Evening Barbara. I have just been writing my shopping list for taking to Port Sunlight tomorrow. I’m looking forward to seeing Dave Maria and Paul plus Heather and Len and Susan tomorrow.
I hope you have a good evening twiddling your thumbs! Sometimes doing nothing is good. It allows you to clear your mind and sort through things that lurk in our heads!
    Love and hugs! Xxx

  4. Can’t wait Barbara Had my ticket for a while
Sooo looking forward to it I expect my debit card will be red hot lol XXX

  5. I would love to be able to go to one of these Barb – but unfortunately it’s not possible this year. I don’t have boxes to tick, but boxes to fill! Ready for the big move! Mind you I did manage to get to Leyburn last year, and I loved every moment of it. It was fantastic to meet you all and also the other members from the blog! Talking of filling boxes, my dies are on their way and this afternoon I also ordered the Shenandoah Designer Card – to use with them. Just taking Paul’s advice!! Love and hugs, Gilly xxx

    1. Hi bloggy friends – I hope that your weather today has been better than ours. Still the forecast for the next few days is looking better. I have had a lazy day today, the M.E. doesn’t want to go away I’m afraid. Never mind tomorrow is another day. Love and hugs, Gilly xxx

      1. Hi Gilly,
Sorry you’re not feeling too great. It was lovely to meet you last year at a Leyburn, shame you won’t be there this year. It appears that my naughtiness is rubbing off on you! My dies arrived today and yes, I did have to have a play and yes, they are fabulous!!! The Shenandoah card, paper nd parchment are great too. Hoping you feel better tomorrow, love and hugs to you and Neill, Alison xxx

  6. Ticket bought for Saturday and I can’t wait. I’ve only been attending for a couple of years but I have learnt so much – too much to remember which is why I intend to take more notes this year. It is such a great opportunity to see so many talented crafters in action. The inspiration is off the scale and the raffle is great fun. If you are thinking of going but no sure, don’t hesitate, you won’t regret it.

  7. I’m not wanting to wish the months away but I’m really looking forward to Leyburn in September xx

    1. Me too Lisa. The Scottish girls are looking at accommodation just now so we can make a weekend of it.

  8. The Open Days are just brilliant and everyone is so friendly. Like you say even the husbands get to enjoy themselves chatting outside usually. Goodness Barbara you are going to need an awful lot of cake, are you baking? Anyone not sure about coming along please give it a try you will not regret it. xx

  9. Doing a Groovi Workshop on 16th June, or we would have dragged the caravan down for a couple of days!

Still, we have the retreat to look forward to and then Leyburn!

    Enjoy your evening Barbara x

  10. How exciting xxx

  11. Looking forward to a great day. As ever, you are so generous Barbara. Leave some energy for your special day the following weekend. x

  12. Crowborough is a fantastic way to spend a couple of days – I know, I’ve been there. So if you are undecided, don’t be, just go for it. This year, it is Leyburn for me – only because my escort is otherwise occupied in June! ;~}

  13. Won’t make the open days this year at least not the ones in Crowborough, OH has fractured his leg in 2 places & in plaster for another 5 weeks minimum.
I have been the last 2 years, the new venue of the Community Centre was a great idea as it gave everyone more space. The demos were inspirational & everyone was happy to answer questions & pass on their tips to get the results we all aspire to. The hourly raffle added to the buzz of the day. A great day out for those who can make it. Any one who has a caravan or motorhome there is an excellent Camping & Caravan site next to the Leisure Centre in Crowborough which we used both times. Will be watching the blog for photos of the day.

  14. I’d love to come, but sadly summer is the most busy time of the year for me, so I can’t make it. I’m sure the cake will be delicious though, and that everyone will have a great time. I’ll try not to be too jealous! x

  15. Hi Barb,
I would love to get to a Crowborough one day but it definitely won’t be this year as I will still be recuperating after my long awaited op. However, I am determined that I will get to Leyburn again this year. I am so looking forward to seeing old friends and hopefully new ones too. I have a shopping list already made out! I’m sure everyone who gets to either Open Days will have an absolutely brilliant time – I can recommend them to anyone. Love and hugs Alison xxxx

    1. Hi bloggy friends,
Arrived home from Norfolk last night but was too shattered to commment. Had a Clarity parcel waiting for me Tina’s new goodies- brilliant), dies came today and am expecting my stamps tomorrow – absolutely brilliant service from Clarity yet again, thank you so much. Had fabulous time away, really fab weather. Did 75,000 steps in 3 days and swam 3,000 metres. The hotel pool was so lovely and it was like I’d won the lottery – there was only Dave and I in it each day!! Anyway, we went for a treat and a rest for me – not sure about the rest but definitely a treat. Was shattered at the end of each day and knee ached but after tablets and a good night’s rest, was ok the next day. Hope everyone is ok and sending love and hugs to you all, Alison xxx

  16. Can’t make Crowborough sadly but looking forward to Leyburn. My stamps and dies arrived yesterday once I had tracked the delivery down so looking forward to playing this weekend.

  17. Hello Barb, it would be lovely to come to the open days, however this is a weekend I am away for work. I am sure everyone is looking forward to it. You certainly have a busy time leading up to the wedding. Take care all. Bx

  18. Once again Clarity excells with their customer care (goes way beyond ‘service’), would recommend going along if you can it’s a fab day out filled with inspiration, helpful information, laughter and the hourly prize raffles (free) are well worth winning if you’re one of the lucky ones. Can’t make it to Crowborough but am looking forward to Leyburn in early September!

  19. I won’t be able to get there myself but look forward to seeing all those happy faces in the photos and know you will have a full house Barbara, or perhaps I should say a full hall. x

  20. Sadly, I won’t be able to get to Crowborough. Logistics mean I would have to come by train, then add a couple of nights in the hotel. Etc. Never mind, I had my Clarity fix at Port Sunlight today and I will be at the retreat in July. Wish I could come. Maybe next year. Hope it goes will for you all. And best wishes for the weekend after.

  21. Hello. Hope you can help I keep seeing the parchment Owl tea light on your Pinterest section and wondered if I can purchase a pattern for it or is it on the groovi plates we do not have many craft shops in the area where I live , I am. Create and craft member but could not find anything on there
