Meet the Artist – Elaine Milner

Meet the Artist – Elaine Milner

Hi Everyone.

Happy Friday!

Glad to hear that you like the new blog layout.

Today’s Meet the Artist is:

Elaine Milner

Lets have a look how Elaine has created her card:

Take a piece of Theuva card measuring 9.5cm x 9.5cm and randomly stamp the large Matrix Feather stamp using a Watering Can Archival ink pad.

When the ink is dry, dust with talcum powder. Ink up the verse using a Versamark ink pad and stamp as shown.

Sprinkle with WOW Super Fine Ebony Black embossing powder,  tap off the excess and the heat set with a heatgun.

The embossed verse on Elaine’s card is very smooth, so I am guessing that she has heated from below, rather than on top.

Take a piece of Theuva card measuring 9.5cm x 10.5cm and randomly stamp the small Matrix Feather stamp using Watering Can Archival ink pad.

Edge both pieces of card with a black permanent pen.

Wrap a piece of silver ribbon around the lower panel and attach a greeting.

Attach to a Diamond Top card blank.

I am guessing Elaine has created her own Diamond Top card blank from an A4 piece of silver card.

You will find a number of tutorials on the internet showing you how to create this type of card blank.

  6. Hi Paul
Another beautiful card, well done Elaine. It’s ages since I’ve made one in this style. The stamps are beautiful aren’t they and make a lovely backbround to the verse. Hope you have a lovely weekend Paul, all this being naughty is so tiring isn’t it.

  8. Everyone has done such beautiful artwork. Paul you have made everything so tempting I am going to weaken!!!! But what to have??? Wish you sold hours in the day too 😉

  9. Another beautiful card, the colour so suits the feather stamp, though I shall have to sit on my hands and add this stamp to my wish list. Postie has just bought my Brad corners border plate set and Brads bundle. As soon as I cross something off my wish list, something else gets added, no wonder it never gets any shorter! xx

    Lynn xx
