Secret Santa!

Secret Santa!

Hi there!
Thanks for popping in.
We had a super surprise today. Jayne had set up a lovely Secret Santa for the whole team!

See all the snowflake dangles?
Well, at the end of each dangle was a little tag,
and on each tag was a scratch card thingy.
So each person picked a dangle,
and then Jayne cut it off and gave you your chosen tag.

You scratched to reveal the name of one of your colleagues,
and that is the person you are getting a Christmas treat for.
Izzy getting hers….
Jeannine picking one….
and Paul…

And the snowflakes? Well, upon closer inspection,
 they are stencils!!!!
Jayne got Claire, Jim’s Mammy, to make them out of some stencil material that was at the centre of the core, so had a bit of a curl on it and was scrap really. Blimming perfect !!!!
I went straight to Claire afterwards and got her to make me a batch for my new Porsche! I think we could sell these easily, don’t you?!?
Ironically, we had the snowflake designs from a couple of years ago, when we laser cut them out of MDF for a lovely lady who was assigned the task of decorating a Christmas Tree for CF. Cystic Fibrosis. She had lost not one but two sons to that illness.
Imagine that.
So it was our privilege, (Jim did most of the work), to make a whole set of CF Logo baubles for her. I’m told she uses them happily every Christmas now. Isn’t that neat?
The CF Charity do this to raise funds and awareness.
Yes. There you see. Reasons to be grateful abound.
Even the table confetti at our little Secret Santa party was tiny snowflake stencils!
The benefits of working in a stencil making establishment, eh!
It was brilliant!
Didn’t Jayne do well ?!?
Best events Social Events Manager in the world!
You can always rely on Jayne to get a party going!
And then we threw the diet out of the window
and hoovered up the cheese and biscuits!
All in all, a very pleasant hour.
Broke up the day’s activities perfectly.
We should have a little cheese and biscuits intermezzo more often.
Love & Hugs,
Barb

  1. Lovely idea from a lovely lady. Jayne always has a smile on her face and sure knows how to organise. Best wishes to her – miss her on the retreats.
Best wishes also to everyone at Clarity.

  2. What a great idea after such a busy spell for you all. John & I couldn't do that as there are only 2 of us working here!! Well, the joiner is here today as well, but he's busy demolishing my bedroom and en-suite. Hope your secret santa chooses well x

  3. what a great idea, I am sure you will have even more laughs when the secret Santa parcels are opened. Its nice to have a break when everyone is working so hard trying to get all our parcels posted out. Thanks to everyone at Clarity Towers.

  4. What a lovely idea, I organise Secret Santa at my work but not on this level Im afraid. The most festive thing about it is the handmade bag I sewed for the names to go into before being picked! Glad you had a fun midday break from the grindstone. XX

  5. Evening bloggy friends, hope everyone is well. Went to see a film last night called 'The Man Who Invented Christmas' It's about Charles Dickens and is set when he was writing A Christmas Carol. Great film would recomend it. I am now reading my book which comes out every year, great story. XX

    1. Hi Donna,
Never heard of the film, but will look out for it now. Pleased you enjoyed it. Not long now for you at school! Love and hugs to you and Phoebe, Alison xxx

    2. Hi Donna I’ve not heard of it either but will look out for it, we are still trying to find the time to go and see Paddington. Are you on the Christmas count down yet? Take care xxx

  6. Clever Jane, what a great idea and the snowflakes look beautiful hanging en masse, and now secret Santa will be working his magic to give everyone a present at Christmas, and that lunch looks really yummy! x

  7. What a wonderful idea, Jayne. The team definitely deserves a real break with all the work they do to give us so many fabulous products. Those stencils would be great, if you are thinking of producing them. Can I say a huge thank you to every single person in the Clarity team, especially to those we so rarely see. You are all brilliant. xxx Maggie

  8. Hi Barb,
How fabulous! I bet you all had a brilliant time. Really clever of Jayne too and so much work for her – well done Jayne. Can I just say how wonderful everyone at Clarity is – you all play your part to make such a marvellous company. Tina's new plates arrived today – how's that for brilliant service. Sending love and hugs, Alison xxx

    1. Hi bloggy friends,
I've finished off my Christmas Cards today by putting insert sheets into them all. Had to trim them down which was a right palaver as they needed an equal amount off on each side as the sentiment was smack in the middle. Still they're done now and just need writing and postiing which I'll do tomorrow after swimming. Hope you are all ok. Love and hugs Alison xxx

  9. Looks like a fantastic break in your day! The snowflakes are a brilliant idea and I bet they would sell well… And could be dual purpose!

Love and hugs to you all! Xxx
