Almost Time, Ladies & Gentlemen !

Almost Time, Ladies & Gentlemen !

Hi there.
Thanks for popping in.
Well, today is the last day of the GRAY FRIDAY SUPER SALE …
Oh my oh my.
We thought it might go well, but never did we anticipate this!
The website never faltered, never keeled over –
which is more than I can say for me!
I was cream crackered yesterday!
Not going any younger, are we….
And my bright idea with the FREE stencil yesterday and today, to lure you back to place another order over £20!
Last thing I said to Jim on Saturday evening, after we had drawn and tested the first holly stencil before we went home was,
“Get your Mum to make 50. That should do it for starters.”
(Jim’s Mammy, Claire, runs the Stencil Department).
First thing I said to him this morning when he got into work was,
“er..make that 650!” I kid you not.
Yikes
The sale ends at midnight tonight.
The pickers and packers are going like the clappers now.
More doughnuts required!
Rest assured they are going as fast as they can.
Let’s just let them get on with it now.
So here’s that FREE stencil I mentioned….
Yesterday I did an inverted print,
so that the stencil became the stamp.
remember?
Which then led to a ghost print.
The Holly Aperture stencil is still available FREE until midnight tonight, with any order over £20.
So today, how about we use the ghost print?

And add that wonderful You Hung the Moon Stampset

Use a grey pencil to add a dropshadow on the holly leaves.
Tear a piece of copy paper and add some hills with a grey and blue loaded Clarity brush.

Trim the paper back. It is only copy paper after all.
Use A Fancy Fuchsia Artistry ink pad to dust some pink around the edges.

Brush a little peach into the centre.
Edge the piece with black.

Matt and layer on a sheet of the Rainbow River paper.
I went with the more subtle side, the softer side.
Worked with the softness of the child better, for me.

Hope you like it.
It never ceases to impress me what you can do with a piece of copy paper and a stencil.
Love & Hugs,
Barb

  4. Hi Barbara
Oh you do make me laugh, make 50 for starters! 😂😂😂. You know what we are like. Happy picking and packing to all the staff, it's ok, we know how hard you are all working, I hope the doughnuts help. Today's artwork is beautiful Barbara, who would guess that was copy paper, it's amazing what you can do with a scrap piece isn't it.
    Love Diane xxx

    1. Hi Diane – will you be getting the free stencil I wonder!? I admit that I will – went back last night for another little look. It's SO easy to spend (another) £20!! Love and hugs, Gilly xxx

  5. My first order arrived today, fantastic service. Have had to hand it over though as it is my Christmas present from Fred, all the lovely Groovi dangles. I only really order from Clarity these days just can't beat the service. Right got to go clear the dinner pots away and then do a quick trip over to our son's house in Cannock. Thank-you for the great offers. xx

  6. Am just about to go back in and order some more as I love the stencil and there are one or two or more things I have spotted. Have received the ink pads that I ordered last week this morning brilliant thank you.

  7. So pleased to hear just how well the sale has gone Barb! Whatever made you think that you would only need to make 50!! You should know us all better than that by now! No need to rush my order – take your time. Love and hugs, Gilly xxx

    1. Hi bloggy friends – yes, I hold up my hand I did go back last night and I will be getting the stencil! I decided to order some more tools, I'm sure that I shall get there and be able to use them eventually! They will keep! Love and hugs, Gilly xxx

  8. You can take as long as necessary with my order I've got the viva décor paints from my blog order to play with. Love what you have done with the stencil and looking forward to getting mine, I am well on with my Christmas cards so may experiment with it then save it until next year xxx

    1. Hi Chris – yes it's been another lovely day here, sunny and warm. Went out for a late and long lunch (2 hours) with some friends today. I also finished off a card that I started yesterday for a friend's birthday tomorrow. Six of us are going out for lunch to celebrate. Love and hugs, Gilly xxx

    2. Hi Chris,
Glad to hear you're well on the way with your Christmas cards. I've only got 3 special ones to do now so I'm pleased about that. Finished my clocks today, just got to wait for some different coloured hands to arrive. Love and hugs Alison xxx

  9. A great card made from the copy paper mop up Barbara, just goes to show it's a great idea to always keep all the scraps. I'm not surprised that 50 of those stencils is way too little…lol. I hope Dave is feeling a lot better now. x

  10. Hi Barb,
Like others have said, I can't believe you only thought you'd need 50 stencils! I'm pleased that the sale has been a big success for you. There is certainly no need to rush my orders, there's nothing I'm desperate for. Thank you so much for all of the bargains & of course the stencil. The artwork you've produced from the " scrap" yesterday is excellent. Love and hugs Alison xxx

    1. Hi bloggy friends,
Been freezing up here today and set to get worse through the week – oh joy! Did a bit extra in the gym today as I'm determined that when I see the consultant on Wednesday he won't have anything to criticise me about! Only problem, I'm goosed now! Love and hugs to you all, Alison xxx

    2. I'm sure the appointment wil go well and the Specialist will be impressed with all your hard work. Cold here too, wet at the moment but I think I will need to de-ice the car by morning. XX

  11. Beautiful art work, love this stamp. Just been back to have a last look at the sale and things just popped into my basket so you will need another stencil for me too! Was almost going to click done when I remembered I needed some more canvases for my paint pouring so they went in as well. Xx

  12. Well I have placed an order but, for once, managed to restrain myself – lol! That said I have my eye on Linda's book launch this coming weekend, not yet mentioned to my OH tho'… ah well it's my birthday next Monday so it would be rude to not treat myself …my excuse and am sticking with it! xxx

  13. Hi Barb, well that was certainly a huge success then, such great offers both last week and the Gray Friday sale, I am sure there are many people eagerly awaiting their parcels, and looking forward to creating some great arty pieces. Take care. Bx
