Sunday Snowflake

Sunday Snowflake

Hi there
Thanks for popping in.
Cor blimey!
Just did the launch hour on HOCHANDA
and wanted to share the first demo with you,
which was intended – not to baffle you with science –
but to explain the basic concept behind our Duets.
It’s very very simple, but my word!
The possible options when using the two plates in combination are far too numerous to count.
Let’s start with a simple frame on clear parchment.
Wipe BOTH sides of the parchment with a tumble dryer sheet BEFORE you begin.
Bith the nested suare, the Groovi plate Mate AND the tumble dryer sheet are in the Groovi Starter Kit.

Perforate one of the snowflakes on the front first.
I have to say, a Lightwave helps so much!

Now swop out the Grid for the Groovi,
flip the parchment to the back and emboss the outline.

It looks so excellent because the design is so tight.

Transfer the artwork to a pink Pergamano Excellent mat
and get the whitework going.

By way of contrast, let’s try another snowflake, but instead of perforating, let’s stay on the back and dot emboss.
This looks really lovely as is,

but let’s add the outline.

We’re getting these grips soon too.
We like the ribbed ones best…

Add NOEL from the Postcard Framer

We need a little landscape line from the Starter Kit

A little line of dots using the basic Diagonal grid

Now let’s add a pattern from one of Tina’s Border Plates.

Colour in the hill. Bundled Sage Distress marker hits the spot.

Add 3 little trees below the NOEL from the tip of one of the snowflakes.
Mount on one of the Northern Lights Papers.
mat and layer.

Very simple, but how clean and crisp!
And we haven’t even started the picot cutting trick!

Got to go
Hour 2!
Love & Hugs

  8. Morning Barbara, loved the shows yesterday! Lovely products and fab demos! Received the Indian Summer paper pad (incl.freebies from your 7 am show last week) on Friday. Wow! What stunning artwork! Love love love the papers! Won't be able to watch the shows today as I'm travelling (back to Germany for 2 weeks) but will catch up on Rewind later 😊 Have a great day and enjoy your shows! Xx

  9. Beautiful plates, I'll add them to my list. I must get Jayne's plates out for this Christmas, saying that I did buy some of the new ones so have absolutely plenty to be getting on with. I used the distress markers on my new home card for big spaces of background and was quite pleased with how they turned out. X
