Name that Fairy!
Hi there!
Thanks for popping in.
Day 5 of the Crowborough Retreats,
and another wonderful group of Friends Reunited!
So I have exactly 20 minutes to blog before I go to join them all at the Spa Hotel.
Whilst cleaning the blending mat this morning after project 1,
I decided to make a bloggy background…
That’ll do very nicely, thunk I.
Perfect for showcasing those wonderful Fairy Stamps which are being launched on HOCHANDA TV tomorrow evening at 6pm
by lovely Rosie.
- SKY 663 (24/7)
- FREEVIEW 85 (6AM-7PM)
- FREESAT 817 (24/7)
Just 2 will do for this little idea.
Very lovely, don’t you think? See the butterfly wings?
And how useful are the masks!?
Right down to the tiny toadstools.
Mmmm…. Dry blue brush required.
I didn’t even add ink – just used the dry blue brush.
Remove the masks for the magic.
Good enough to wrap around an A6 canvas board, methinks.
Stop the clock. 10 minutes.
Time to go eat with the others.
But in the meantime, let’s have a little blog candy, shall we?
NAME THESE FAIRIES.
Leave a message below, naming our two delightful little characters.
Then on Sunday, I shall randomly pick a winner.
And that winner shall receive the little canvas here –
and a £20 Clarity Gift Voucher.
Love & Hugs,
Barb

Fairy Flutterby was the name of one of the tooth fairies that visited my sons!
Am loving the fairies , what about groovi & clarity hehe xx
Little Cob O'Pipkin and Sade Moonshadow
I'd have to call them Grace and Emily, my nearly two year old twins. I brought them fairy wings this week and they both think they're Tinkerbell. ☺️
Phoenix (the fairy with the shorts) and Phoebe. Thank you all for a fabulous retreat. Elizabeth
I like Cox and Pippin ……..lol xxx
Moonlight and Blueberry x
How about Barbie & Davido ? xx
Charlotte and George Xxx
A beautiful creation today. Think the fairies will be a big hit with everyone. I would like to name them Phoebe and Giselle . X
Ella and Oberon I think 🙂
Kim x
It has got to be Barb and Dave. x
fairies could be called Fenella and Ferdie. Enjoy the rest of the retreats Fi x

Belle and Lily.
Mork and Mindy, a blast from the past. Xx. Glad you're all having a lovely time xx
Beautiful. I would call them Dee and Lightful
By the way haven't seen Brenda posting for a while, hope you are OK if you see this
Evening, what a lovely canvas. Liking the look of the new stamps will have to see how much I have left after a weekend in London. Off in about half an hour and then back on Monday. Watching more Para Athletics, both sessions on Saturday and Sunday. Super excited. I would call the fairies Flitter and Luna. XX
Why, Oberon and Titania they be…
The King and Queen of the fairies, you see.
Peri and Winkle.

Hi bloggy friends, hope everyone is well. Last day of term today…now its play time!! Have a great weekend. XX
I always thought this was the best day of the holiday, all that time in front of you, though I know you'll not leave all the work behind. Enjoy xx
Yeah, happy dance Donna. Have a wonderful weekend. I went out with some of the teachers from my old school last night as a couple are leaving, they don't break up until Tuesday! Xxx
My first thought was Adam and Eve, but others had the same thought (great minds think alike!!) How about Zoe and Leah, after my twin granddaughters?
I am back from hols and loving the new fairy plates. Can't wait for Rosie's shows this weekend. Love to all. X
Back from a great retreat and now suffering from a bacterial infection in my leg. So glad it did not happen on the 2 days of retreat.
Fairies – Apfel and Perri
Lots of love – have a good weekend
Anne (Reading)
That's not good Anne but as you say at least it didn't spoil the retreat. Hope you feel better soon xxx
A beautiful canvas with the fairies! I would name them, twilight and filigree!
What a beautiful canvas! My choice of names is Tania and Laila xx
Hi Barbara
Glad the retreats are going well again this year.

I'm trying not to look at what anyone else has put as I know they will have come up with some lovely names. As soon as I saw the boy with the apple I thought they could be Adam and Eve but then nutty woman in me took over and thinks that Mork and Mindy will do nicely too Karen xx
They look like Glastonbury Fairies to me so, they must be called …Gert and Lush 🙂
This is truly the inspiration I tune in for, thank you Barbara. A scrappy waste, that may have been destined for the bin in anyone else's hands, transforms to a beautiful work of art. My idea for the fairy names are Celeste and Topaz, which are associated with blue (I.e. sky and gem)
Claire-itee and Stamp-ella!
Ooh fantastic – you snook this in didn't you. I am going for Pixie and Pearmain. Looking forward to day 2 tomorrow. Xxx
Love the new stamps, I suggest Ottoline and Romilly
Oh I do wish I could be with you all. Pippin is sitting on the toadstool-looks like a fun guy. Moonbeam is telling him her special recipe for apple crumble. Looking forward to Rossella on Hochanda.
X Chris
Grace and mark
Grace and mark
They are surely "Nice" and "Cute", what else could they be.
Mags
Bluebell and daisy
They are so lovely…Betty & Bill xx
Frick and Frack … yep that's their names 🙂
Lapis & indigo . Or Aouli and jaylin
Tiana and Rowe
I think Freya and Millie! Lovely canvas! xxx
How about Oban and Skye?
I think they should be Apple and Jack.
Lovely canvas Barbara. Wish I could have been at a retreat this year. Had to cancel last year, and this year we don't finish school till next Wednesday. Ho hum, maybe next year.
You always manage to turn a mop up into a masterpiece Barbara. How about Oberon and Titania aka Dave and Barbara. x
Don't know where you found the time to do this blog today, but the workshop was fantastic and you even taught a non-patched to picot cut so you really must be a genius!!! I'm going for Cox and Pippin for the little fairies, and have saved all my mop ups from today to create art when I get home. Can't wait to get only and painty tomorrow, so sleep well. X
I reckon they are Flight and Fancy. I just got my canvases in my sale pack so will have to pluck up some courage now and have a go xx
Oops that should be non-parcher!
Hope and Sunshine x
Beautiful fairies, it was fairy stamps that started me crafting in the first place, then I saw you at the NEC and was hooked ha ha, and as they say the rest is history. That canvas would look great on my wall. How about Gemma and Chloe as their names.xx
Patience and Job
Agaric and Chanterelle. Lovely stamps.
Iris and Indie. xx
Rosiee and Paulee are my suggestions. I can't believe you did that in just 10 minutes, it's fabulous. The retreats sound like they're going well, I would love to be there. Enjoy your evening xx
Tinkerbell on the right and Peter on the toadstool, but I am not sure of my own name tonight after a grand scenic tour of lanes and byways to avoid all the motorway problems everywhere today. I saw some beautiful parts of several counties, but I did draw the line at a gated road. Thank you and all the team for a really great time with so many new things to play with, and for putting so many of us together again for so much fun and laughter. xxx Maggie o
The one on the toadstool I would call Peach and the other one I would call Sprinkledust
Gorgeous canvas, you make it look so easy. Might have made my mind up to get the stamps. Think I must buy some canvases while they are in the sale. I bought a fairy door this week to make a fairy picture using the wee fairies.
As to the fairies names I narrowed it down to the names of two of my grandchildren, Lokryn and Ella, so I would call them Lokryn and Ella Bella xx
Skye and raindrop xx
I would love the canvas please. Have a fun time x
I love your canvas. The names I'd give the fairies are Dewdrop and Sunlight. Any garden would welcome them I'm sure.
Ellette and Elvia,
Lovely canvas x
Fred and Maud! A gorgeous canvas xx
Aha, we used to have fairy names where I used to work at the railway, mine was Gossamer Moonglimmer, my colleague was Mrs Coggins – two names for two fairies!
Have a good day – love
Maggie (Yorkite)
PS is Grace fully recovered now?
Hi Barbara
These fairies are beautiful, I'm not normally a fairy person but these are just so pretty and beautifully drawn I'm very tempted. What an amazing canvass and sooo simple, you wouldn't know it was just a scrap of paper would you. I might be tempted to put some sparkle on the wings if I was doing it but I wouldn't touch the masterpiece if I won it! Now for the names, how about Bert and Ernie, not very fairylike I know but it might make you laugh. Ok then moonbeam and sparkle, that's more delicate and not like a fairy elephant at all 😀. Enjoy day two of this retreat.
Love Diane xxx
Hello Barb, sounds like the retreats are going down a storm and everyone is enjoying the experience and meeting up with friends. Love these fairy stamps, you can never have too many fairies, and love your little bit of art. Hope you had a lovely meal. To name the fairies, because the one looks like a male, I think Patrick and Peaches. Take care all. Bx
Anne Bagshaw
I mixed the letters in fairies and came up with the name Safire, the second name Shayla meaning fairy.Secretly hoping i win, i love the canvas x
Charlotte and George Xxx
Pippa and Clara are my suggestions from a very wet Saturday afternoon in Oxford. Drying out by a radiator in the Eagle and Child, a former haunt of Tolkien and CS Lewis. X
Alicia & Mary – just like my 2 little ANGELS who were born to soon xXx
I love these designs and suggest : Appy and Delicathy
Pixie & Petra, spring to mind for me, love these, feel another spend coming on xx
Star and Rainbow. From the spacer plate xx
how about Cecelia on the toadstool and elacapayne looking on. You make it look so easy.
Lynda in spain
Titania & Puck. The queen of the fairies & the naughty mischievous elf.
Lovely canvas, just goes to show it doesn't have to take hours to do .
Adi and Ron Dack! Lol! Wxx
You did this in 10minutes after dealing with all of us for the whole day? Wow! I think you'll have to call them Blinking and Marvellous!
Thanks for the best 2 days of my year so far xx
i think Frau and Grau, because it still makes me smile and reminds me of the retreats. X
They are really lovely. I think nature inspired names – Willow and Juniper. Best wishes to everyone.
Hope I am not too late to name these delightful fairies – Bella and Bryn. Lovely canvas Barbara
I name them Pookie ( on the toadstool) and Nixie. Yet another beautiful set of Groovi boards and stamps, cannot wait for mine to arrive and then I can name them all ! Keep up the good work dream team !! Inspirational TV demos.
What great new stamps with the apple in my mind I came up with
Mack and Tosh
