Celebrating Jayne Nestorenko

Celebrating Jayne Nestorenko

Hi there.
Thanks for joining me here.
Back to work today, and it’s like we’ve never been away!
Except the pile is just a little bit taller…
But that’s okay. I’m ticking boxes as I go, which always feels good.
I know you will be delighted to hear that we are having a
Jayne Nestorenko Celebration
over the next few days.
Firstly, Rosie is on Hochanda on Thursday, showing off Jayne’s wonderful floral frames. There were four summer and two winter ones. Remember them from last year?
Jayne was so chuffed that her artwork was so well received;
it really lifted her spirits.
But who wouldn’t want these flowers in their craft box?
That’s why we have loaded them onto the
HOCHANDA ESSENTIALS SHOW!
They ARE an Essential in my book!
Groovi Agapanthus

Stamps Agapanthus
We made them all into both Claritystamps and Groovi,
and they both sold exceptionally well.
To celebrate Jayne and her art,
Rosie will be showcasing two brand new little iiBooks
(ii stands for Ideas & Inpsiration):
one for Groovi art and one for stamped art.

They contain beautiful photographs and 20+ projects by our talented Design team.

The Groovi book also includes 11 patterns at the back,
for our traditional parchers.

So much time goes into the art samples, and we thought it would be helpful to create little collections of inspiration with close up pictures.
As with Tina’s iiBooks, these are also wirobound.
I just think they are much more user-friendly. When you are trying to follow instructions, it really helps if the picture and instructions stay open at the desired page!
Jayne also left us other exquisite artwork to run with.
She knew she wouldn’t be around to see these Christmas pictures come to life, but I think we have done her proud. I think she would be really pleased with what we have done with her Childrens’ designs…
On Sunday evening at 6pm I shall be launching a very beautiful collection of Christmas Children by Jayne Nestorenko.
Both as Claritystamps
(Official One Day Special)
and as Groovi Plates
(because we know you will want them!)
The images are so amazingly intricate, we really couldn’t go any smaller without losing the detail. So we didn’t.
I think you will be impressed.
And will there be iiBooks created to accompany these designs?
You are too right there will be! Not this weekend, but certainly very soon.
So yes. We are celebrating Jayne and her inimitable style.
She certainly was one very classy, talented lady,
and aren’t we lucky she had the foresight to call for Clarity?!
Love & Hugs,
Barb

  1. Glad you enjoyed Glastonbury, I enjoyed reading about your days.
The new plates and stamps are sure to be amazing. Sadly I can't buy it all and I can't make my mind up so I am going to TRY to save my pennies for Leyburn when I can see everything at close quarters. My list keeps growing longer!!

    1. Hello to all on the blog. We are back home now and catching up with shopping and chores. It's so much easier to use the laptop to comment rather than my phone. Very wet again here today but the garden is happier. I've done my share of the cleaning so am going to do a bit more to a mixed stamp and Groovi card that I have started for a special person xx

    2. Hi Chris – I totally agree with you on using the laptop – way easier than the phone. Your card sounds very interesting – I am sure the 'special person' will fully appreciate it. xxx

    3. Hi Chris,
Ooh, stamp and Groovi – well done you! Laptop definitely easier to use than phone – I just send rubbish on the phone because my fingers are too big for the buttons! Love and hugs Alison xx

    4. Hi Chris, so pleased you'll be at Leyburn, look forward to seeung you again. Hoping Morag will be there too, do you see her? You're brave Stamping and Groovi on one card, not tried that myself yet. Jayne's new plates look fantastic don't they? xx

  2. Hi Barbara, glad to hear you're managing to tick boxes, progress along the path, through the jungle, always helps lift the spirits, and make things less daunting. Beautiful new Christmas designs from Jayne.
Won't say any more, as too upset that Jayne is no longer with us, and won't know or see the reaction, response to her new artwork. Soooo sad.
    Love Brenda xx

  3. What a wonderful idea to 'celebrate' Jayne and her fab artwork! Have definitely got the ii book on my mind and look forward to seeing the new stamps/plates on Sunday. Got the recorder set for tomorrow's Rosie shows xxx

  4. Oh help!!!! I was not going to get any more Christmas things, but there is no way I can resist these beauties. Jayne's designs are just so lovely, and to know they are produced with the Clarity quality is a real bonus. Would anyone like to hazard a bet on how long it will be before they sell out and poor Steve is back on nights? I reckon on 15 minutes. xxx Maggie

  5. Welcome back Barbara! I'm looking forward to seeing the shows tomorrow and seeing the little books but it's also great that the samples are getting a second viewing too!
And as for Sunday!!! Well what can I say! The stamps and groovi plates are simply stunning! Jayne artwork is beautiful and yes you've done it proud! I loved working with it and hope I've done it proud too!
Enjoy the rest of your day!
    Love and hugs! Xxx

  6. Hi Barbara – I am totally with you on the 'ticking boxes' and the 'crossing off items on to do lists' – it's a very good feeling. Really looking forward to seeing Jayne's work – such a very special and talented lady, who will live on in many peoples hearts forever – bless her! Also looking forward to seeing both Rosella and Tina too. Enjoy your preparation and ticking more boxes too, hugs Gilly xx

    1. Hi everyone – it looks as though we are going to be spoiled for choice in the coming days! Funnily enough I have been updating my wish list today and feel sure that this time next week, it will be much longer. Like Chris I am trying to be good, so that I can have a spend at Leyburn too. You can't beat seeing things close up – well that's what I am telling myself at the moment. Love and hugs Gilly xxx

    2. It's a bit worrying Gilly as I haven't used Jayne's last Christmas stamps yet ! I haven't used all the flowers ones either but the books will be helpful. Xx

    3. Hi Gilly,
The problem is that by the time Leyburn comes around, think of how many other things will have gone on the list! I think they might be falling into my basket! Love and hugs Alison xxx

    4. Hi Gilly, do you think we'll resist until Leyburn? I haven't used my Christmas plates of Jaynes from last year yet, like Jackie. The books look exciting too don't they? Yes the list is getting longer even though I've been to Crowborough.xx

    5. Hi Gilly I gad my Jayne plates for Christmas last year so haven't used the Christmas ones yet but the flowers are my go to ones. Beans on toast next month I think! 😀Xx

  7. Wow the new designs look fantastic. Barbara I was going to be so good, not going to happen methinks. Jayne's designs are so amazing. Oh well I am pretty good at making a meal out of next to nothing. X x

  11. Hello Barbara

Fantastic! I have the flower stamps and plates so will be looking for the ii books. The new Groovi plates look interesting as well.

See you on Saturday at Colemans.

    Love
    Roz.x

  12. Hello Barbara, back home after an amazing holiday in Florida. Not happy as it is raining here today. What a fabulous way to celebrate a very talented artist. I am loving the Christmas stamps and Groovi boards. Enjoy your evening.
    Hugs
    Linda xxx

  13. Looking forward to seeing the shows. I already have both the stamp and groovi Agapanthus, the groovi Dahlias and groovi Christmas flower plates. Love the look of those new children stamps and groovi plates. Will be going on my wish list. I'm off to Berlin next week on a school trip, so will set up any shows I 'll be missing to record.

  14. Just wonderful to be showcasing Jayne's work. I have been working on the last Christmas groovi plates – the detail is amazing. Thank you for a great blog as ever.
    Anne (Reading)

  15. Hi Barb,
Hope your mound of work doesn't get too big! Really looking forward to Rosella 's shows and the little books. Love Jayne's flowers both in Groovi and stamp form and the Christmas plates that I have yet to use. However, the new Christmas ones will be a must have to complete the collection. Such a shame that poor Jayne is no longer with us – I'm sure she'll be looking down tomorrow and over the weekend with pride and joy. Love and hugs Alison xxx

    1. Hi bloggy friends,
Hope the weather hasn't been too bad for you today. It's been very wet here but the gardens are looking happier. Swimming day today which I actually enjoyed – think I'm getting the hang of front crawl! Had a play with mapping pen and sticky ink with varying degrees of success – don't know what I'm doing wrong, but the ink doesn't seem to flow. If I try to use it with the mica paste diluted with water , I have no success at all! Love and hugs to you all, Alison xxx

    2. Hi Alison I missed the show on sticky ink, I wonder if it's still on catch up. The good thing about this lovely blog is I'm sure one of the expert parchers will help you out. Sending hugs xxx

  16. Hi Barbara, oh we are in for such a treat. The designs look wonderful. Love all of Jayne's plates and stamps. Only the fuschia and rose stamps to complete my sets. So will put the new ones on my list for Leyburn and the books. That's if I can manage to resist until then. Glad your day has gone well for you and that you have ticked a lot off your todo lists.xx

  17. These little glimpses look lovely Barbara. I'll be recording the shows as usual, then watching whilst I do the ironing – a little treat for my least favourite chore! Hope the shows go well, and that the ticks on the list keep coming x

  18. Oh wow, the designs look amazing already just with the small teaser pictures. I will probably be going for the stamps as they will get the most use by me…but the Groovi will be close behind without a doubt. Looking forward to seeing the shows and the DT samples. Liking the look of those II books for the original Jayne plates, I'm sure she will be looking down with a smile on her face. XX

    1. Hi Donna,
The new plates and stamps look fabulous dont they? Jayne was definitely a very talented and special lady . Very wet here again and the wind is picking up again too. Love and hugs Alison x

  19. Hi Barbara
What beautiful artwork Jayne left in her legacy to Clarity, these Christmas children look fantastic. I love the flowers, I've got both stamps and groovi and the agapanthus and rose are well used. It will be good seeing on tv again and the iibooks sound perfect. I'm off to set the box to record. Hope you are chilling out tonight.
    Love Diane xxx

    1. Hi Diane,
i love the flower set, the agapanthus is my favourite follwed by the dahlia. I made them all into coasters as little presents for some friends last Christmas and they loved them ( the Groovi ones). Box is set to record here as well. Love and hugs Alisonxxx

  20. Hello Barb, a well phrased accolade to a beautiful and talented lady. The designs are beautiful, the books are incredible. Looking forward to seeing the new Christmas designs on the shows. Take care all. Bx

  21. Sorry I haven't been able to comment for a few days, but I did keep up with all your news from Glastonbury. What a ball you all had and a great way to relax and switch off. I loved all the pictures.
I am looking forward to Rosella's shows today, as I always love to watch her, but also because I so admire Jayne's work. Her agapanthus plate was the first Groovi plate I bought, well before I knew what I was doing, but just because I loved it. What a beautiful legacy she has left and her family must be so proud to see her designs live on. X

  22. I am just about to watch Rosella and can't wait to see the new stamps and plates over the next few days using Jane's beautiful designs. I'm glad you have managed to hit the ground running on all the tasks that have accumulated whilst you've been away. Lookinģ forward to seeing you on Hochanda on Sunday and Monday. x
