Nod, nod, wink, wink of Stella!

Nod, nod, wink, wink of Stella!

Hi there!
Thanks for popping in.
Much excitement at work today,
when some big boxes arrived from Japan.
So you may already be familiar with these Wink of Stella pens,
but if you’re not, all i can tell you is this:
T H E Y   A R E   B R I L L I A N T ! ! !
There are lots of colours, but we have gone with just the clear one.
This one pen adds a fabulous shimmer to any colour underneath,
so that’s good enough for me!
An important tip when you open the packet:
Remove the lid

Unscrew the top part.

Remove the little black ring.

Replace the top part.
This will pierce the seal and release the ink.

Now gently squeeze where it says PUSH.
This will encourage the ink down into the tip.

And you are ready to rock and roll!
Works beautifully on dye-based ink on card.
Works brilliantly on parchment (YAY!!)

Straight on the front.
Want more shimmer?
Let it dry and go over it again.

You can splay the tip and adjust the width to stroke larger areas,
or let them ping back into the super fine tip that they are
for narrow areas.

The clear Wink of Stella pen adds a wonderful shimmer,
like an ultra-fine glitter, to your artwork.
It was actually my friend Sam Crowe who put me onto it.
She sent me one as a gift.
And I was hooked.

So thank you Sam!
You’ve cost me a small fortune !!!!
They are available on our website already.

    1. Hi Donna,
Yeah! Mine will be on its way too! Kitchen coming along nicely thank you, units are all in (& filled!), flooring is ordered ( although it will take 4 weeks!) and worktops will be on next Monday/Tuesday( which means I'll have sink, dishwasher, hob and washing machine!) other than that, just the painting and tiling!!! Can you tell I'm trying to stay positive? Actually the units are gorgeous, the new lights lovely and the whole kitchen do much lighter – it will be fab when finished. Love and hugs Alison xxx

  1. When you think it is empty, unscrew and add a little water, give a shake and you'll be good to go for a while longer. One of the best additions to your tool kits, you'll love it I promise.

  2. Oh Barbara I'm so glad you've got these in. I love em! You may have noticed me using them on my parchment! Now I know where to get them I'm really happy!

  7. Something for my wish list. We are away at the weekend helping with grandchildren over the Easter holidays so an oorder will have to wait. Good to know this month's goodies should arrive before we go, though I've only just got round to playing with last month's xx

  8. Yes, these are lovely. Use them quite a lot, mainly the clear one. Also got Crafter's Companion sparkle pens which are good, too. Wasn't on here yesterday so just like to add that I loved the flowers yesterday. Beautiful! Xx

  9. Hi Barbara
How exciting Clarity meets wink of Stella! I've had one of these for a few months and love it. I've used it on parchment and it looks wonderful. It's when you have a conversation with your sister who tells you she's bought 'one of those winky things' that the fun starts!!! I love how you tell us to squeeze gently, yep hands up I've had a puddle of glitter I've had to spread around and I've squeezed for ages having not taken out the middle ring! Haha, I must start reading instructions!. Loved Rosellas show today, just need to catch the later one on rewind. Hope you have a lovely evening.
    Love Diane xxx

    1. Hello lovely blog friends, Hope your weather has been good today, been gorgeous here again, pottering around in the garden won over groovi for a while but I will catch up tonight. Sending hugs xxx

    2. Hi Diane,
Not been too good here today, turned really cold when the sea fret came in. Tried to watch Rosella' s early show on rewind and it wouldn't work unfortunately! Love and hugs Alison xx

  10. Hi Barb,
This loos brilliant. I have the Crafters Companion sparkle pens including the clear and really like them but never tried them on parchment – thought they'd be too wet. Will have to try this though as I'm partial to a bit of sparkle! Thank you for bringing them to us. Love and hugs Alison xxx

    1. Hi bloggy friends,
Hope today has been as good as possible for you all. Off to Newcastle tomorrow to get me out of the house. Ordered kitchen flooring today so that's another thing ticked off. I will be so pleased when it's all finished! Love and hugs to you all, Alison xxx

    2. Hi Alison – glad that the kitchen is coming along well, it sounds as though it will be lovely when it is finished! I must admit when we had ours done a few years ago – I kept practising saying' It will be lovely when it's finished' – and it was! Enjoy your day out tomorrow – love and hugs, Gilly xxx

  11. Hi Barbara – I have heard of these pens, but never got any further than that – until now! Just put it on my wish list! I loved Rossella's shows today – more items went onto the wish list! Hugs, Gilly x

    1. Hi bloggy friends – our weather hasn't been so good today, but it didn't matter – I spent the day doing some Groovi and watching Rossella – perfect! More items have gone onto the wish list – love and hugs, Gilly xxx

  12. The clear WOS pen is great and I bought one a while ago. It can be very subtle, and as you say just add aother layer for more impact and much cleaner to use than glitter. x

  13. I bought mine a year ago and it's brilliant, the clear one is excelent over any coloured pen and now when it runs out I know exactly where to buy a replacement, marvellous!!!!

  14. Barbara Gray you are spooky! I've just switched on my tablet to research problems with wink of stella pens. There's nothing in my instructions. And before googling I thought " let's read what Barbara has to say today…." as I said-spooky…. Thank you so much xx

  15. I've heard Margaret Craner talk about Wink of Stella many a time and I've always meant to google and haven't, needn't bother now and I think I'll be getting one soon ! X.
