NEW GROOVI BORDER MATE – Away with the Cellotape !!!

NEW GROOVI BORDER MATE – Away with the Cellotape !!!

Hi there!
Thanks for popping in.
Here we are, getting all revved up for the Clarity Open Days
here in Crowborough on Friday and Saturday,
And it’s no good.
There is something brand new
we’ve been holding back for the coming weekend.
It can’t wait. Have to show you now.
I have been moaning about having to cellotape our
Groovi Borders to the Groovi Plate Mate since Day 1.
Well no.
Day 2 actually, when I had to pick all the bits of cellotape
off the Plate Mate after Day 1.
NOW THERE IS A SOLUTION.
Ready?
Introducing…
The new Border Plate Mate,
designed by our Jim.
Blimming beautiful!!
Obviously, the numbers & flourishes border comes out,
so you have a slot large enough to take all your other borders.
Not only is it a perfect holder for all the borders we’ve been designing and you’ve been collecting for the past year;
It also provides the most delightful ABC and Numbers
upper case and lower case.
See the ornate box at the bottom of the border?
this is just the right size for housing initials or monograms:
next to each other,

or entwined.

And the flourishes on the numbers border really are excellent
for decorating and illuminating.

There are four Groovi swirls.

So if you are coming to Crowborough,
you know what is waiting for you.
And if you’re not, then
to order yours today!
So happy to report that we no longer have to cellotape
the borders to the Plate Mate.
Now they have their very own home.
Have we spilled all the beans and burst the Crowborough bubble ?
Are you kidding ???
Wait till you see the borders Tina has designed !!!
Love & hugs,
Barb
xx

  8. Hello my lovely friends, I'm Zebedeeing as I write this, WHEEEEE!! Thank goodness for my Clarity Cushions! I have got myself back on track today, with bad memories safely and firmly locked away again. Finding that little bit of joy each day is how I've always got through…and WOW! what a joy today!!! I knew some sort of holder for the borders would be so useful, but I never imagined anything as brilliant as this.
By the way, Billy Elliot was wonderful. It's actually something that my hubby would have enjoyed, being an ex-miner. So I've done the next best thing for him..and ordered the musical on DVD!!
I hope you've all had a good day. Love and Hugs to you all xxx
Anne, you and your daughter are still in my thoughts xxx

    1. Hi Morag, well this is what we all need, I like everyone stick tape on and then it moves! !!!!! Well no more. This is a must piece of kit. Looking forward to the new plates which Tina is producing for the boarders. Have a good night ladies. Hugs Lynn xx

    2. Hi Morag glad to hear you are feeling better today. I haven't seen Billy Elliot, film or stage show! I must get a copy as I know its supposed to be a great film. Xx

  9. Large suitcase looked out along with poly bags and plastic boxes, the latter to pack inky, painty things. Wasn't intending to purchase many Groovi items as I've so many I haven't yet used, however . . . . ;~}

    1. Hi Sheila, hoping you find some sort of relief to sustain you through the next three weeks until your appointment. It must be very wearisome for you to suffer constant pain; no wonder you need to rest. Kind wishes to you. ;~}

  10. Oh Barbara what are you doing to my bank balance. I am going to need that border mate just know it will have to come home with me. Really looking forward to Friday and all the exciting demos. xx

  11. Hi to all my lovely blog friends, hope you've all had a good day. Still not feeling right, think everything has caught up with me. Been out to the Mall and had coffee with a friend which was very nice. Think we'll all need the cushions out now girls. My list gets longer. Hope you are coping with your pain Sheila and that you feel a little better. Great news Phobe is doing well Donna, oh the awful cone things, they hate them don't they. One of ours would not move even to eat her food, but it's for her own good. Love & hugs to you all and all on the blog. xxx

    1. Hello Pam. I'm not surprised you're not feeling right! You and your family have been through such a lot these past weeks. Just take everything one day at a time my friend. Love and Hugs xxx

    2. HibPam,
You have been through so much recently and your body is telling you to take things slowly. Good that you have been out to meet your friend today and that you had a good time. Thinking of you, love and hugs Alison xxx

    3. Dear pam thank you for thinking of me when your so poorly yourself and going through so much you and your family sending lots of heartfelt hugs xxx
I've had a very bad day with pain so just rested just waiting for my appointment to see the consultant in 3 weeks Friday to get the help I need hugs xxx

    4. Hi Pam – just give yourself time – it really is the only way. I hope that you really enjoy the Open Day, it's just the sort of thing that you need – love and hugs, Gilly xxx

    5. Pam my lovely lady, everything is catching up with you, it's been such a stressful time for you and the family. Be kind to yourself and take care. Friday will be a lovely treat. Sending hugs xxx

  12. Such a shame that I can't make the Crowborough event this year – I'll certainly miss the banter & fun day out….I look forward to the big reveal for all the new goodies.
Love that border mate – a great little teaser!
Have a wonderful evening, love Carole x

  13. Wow, it's great to have the border mate and the font is lovely too. I can't wait to see what Tina is bringing us. I'm working lots of overtime over the next couple of weeks and I'm supposed to be saying it for my hols…mmm.

    1. We are going to Corfu so I won't be taking any crafty stuff with me but if I don't eat copious amounts of ice lollies on holiday then I'll have lots to spend on groovi, haha.

    2. Diane, shock, horror, water instead of wine, now that's going a bit far! I've only bought one new bikini so I've ticked that box. Yes, there will be plenty for groovi. Donna, although it is a beach holiday we are hoping to hire a car and get lost on the island to see what tourists don't normally see.

  14. Love this ! I reckon that's the reason (sub consciously) that I haven't used the borders a lot. I really have more than enough – but can you have enough – to do more designs than I'll ever dream about but hey ho! So looking forward to Friday to meeting everyone but think I'm going to have to get hubby distracted somehow LOL !! xx

    1. Hi Jackie – I hope that you enjoy the Open Day on Friday, what a pity that I can't go this year. Neill and your husband would have had a lot to talk about. I am sure that you will manage to get him distracted somehow! Gilly xx

  15. Hi Barb,
Wow, I'm so pleased that you have brought this out.mi have to say attaching the borders with tape was the only thing I didn't like about Groovi and now it's sorted – thank you. Really loving the font on the alphabet. I've placed my order already and I think there must be a few of us doing the same cos the website was a little slow! Don't know if you read my comment yesterday as I was late but I was asking if you are doing a cover for the light panel? I thought I'd heard you say it but I could've been dreaming! Love and hugs Alison xx

    1. Hi to all my lovely blog friends,
Hope you've all had a good day. It's been a nice day here and at the moment it's beautiful. My sister has just texted me from Switzerland to say it's pouring down there. In fact it was so nice this afternoon, that I sat outside and made a Groovi card using the music plates and really enjoyed doing it. Not finished yet but well on the way. I've put my order in for the border plate mate, just couldn't resist! My problem is, I have no willpower ( or money!!). Sheila, hope you've had a good day. Donna give Phoebe a big cuddle from me. Anne & Pam thinking of you both, Brenda hope you've had a good day. Love and hugs to each and everyone of you, Alison xxx

    2. Alison lovley to hear you had a groovi day ,we have had a rainy day nice and cool but sun too I'm struggling with pain today so just resting, hugs xxx

  16. Hi Barbara, The sellotape 'filled the gap', but thankfully we don't need it anymore, yippeeeeee, well done Jim !! and the plates look fabulous !!
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  17. Hi Barbara, love it, at the top of my next order list. Thanks for sharing it with us. Boy is it made a whole lot harder for me when it's open day /retreat time. It's good you all have the choice and ability to go to something if you want to at some point in your life at the least. To even just go out, have people you love and who love you. I just wish that sometimes I could be allowed a bit of that in life. Don't squander what you have and what opportunities you get allowed the choice of in life. Have fun and pay attention to the good, whatever that may be. Love Brenda xx

    1. Dear Brenda I have a little clarity treat when its retreat days time as I cannot go either then I share in the fun they have, share them times with me I will be thinking of you dear blog friend hugs for you and daisy xxx

    2. Hello Brenda dear. A very big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you! Can you hear me singing it!!! I do so wish I lived near enough to you to give you a little of the life you wish for. But you certainly do have people who love you. I fully realise that it's not the same as having a physical presence. Just reading your words each day is enough for us to know how lovable you are, and it was impossible for me, and so many others, not to care about you very quickly.
We will all be at the campfire later, I'm sure, to share in your birthday. Lots of love and huge birthday hugs xxx

    3. Hi Brenda – you are a very wise lady! What you say is very true – I know that when I was fit and healthy, I just took it for granted that I could do and go wherever I wanted to. Since the CFS/ME – it has been impossible for me to do a lot of things – but I realise that I can still do a lot more than you are able to. Morag is right, there are a lot of people here who love and care about you – please remember that. Hugs Gilly xxx

    4. It's our Liam's birthday on Thursday too Brenda. He is our very special Grandson who has ASD and LD. So I will never be able to forget your birthday!!!! Love and Hugs xxx

    5. Happy Birthday for Thursday Brenda as I won't be able to get WiFi on Thursday and nay nit until the following Thursday, so I'll say it now. We think such a lot of you and have grown to love you and wish we could help and take you out but living so far away it's not possible. You are a very special lady and we'll always be here for you. Love and hugs, Pam xx

    6. Thanks everyone, and thanks for all the special words (I don't deserve them), and early birthday wishes. For some reason I seem to (what I call)get inside people, get inside their hearts, and it makes people care and want to go that extra mile for me. It happens with people I've had helping me. I don't know why, I'm nothing special, but it's nice that some human beings have felt/feel that way about me even though it's just for a short time xx

Sheila, you've got an excuse, sorry, REASON for treating yourself to new Clarity products most weeks!!! 😉 Maybe you should sell your services to all those with partners who don't understand the need to buy all this stash we have!!! Hope it's not too hard for you to get through until your hospital appointment xx

Pam , I'm thinking about you xx And Anne and her daughter too xx

Dot, did Amy like her Barbie? Or should I call you Dolittle Dot!!! Glad wee Charlie is getting a chance to have a happy life back in the wild xx

Hope you manage to give Liam a happy day for his birthday Morag, I know how tricky that will be for you! xx

  18. I think I'll need a bank loan on Saturday at the open day! Wow and double Wow ! You and Jim are so talented and so glad to be a part of the Groovi scene. Amazing both of you. Can't wait for Saturday xxx

  19. What a clever chap that Jim is! I've saved myself a fortune not getting the Groovi bug but I do love to see everyone's artwork and am in awe of their patience.

Just also need to say Happy Birthday to Brenda M today – I hope you and Daisy have managed to have a little celebration together, and sending you special hugs. In your honour I have had someone come and tidy up my garden today, and it's starting to look fabulous. I just have 5 boxes of garden waste to take to the recycling centre (in addition to a full brown bin!!! x

    1. Thanks Susan. It's Thursday. How did you remember that? I wasn't saying anything this year with the way things are and it being a bad one this year. Might have known I wouldn't get away with it that easily 😉 xx

  20. I can see from the reaction here that these will be disappearing tout suite and am sure that the cushions will be more than necessary on Friday and Saturday, and more to come… Barara you are a real tease..lol. x

  21. Hi Barbara, The sellotape 'filled the gap', but thankfully we don't need it anymore, yippeeeeee, well done Jim !! and the plates look fabulous !!
Lots of love from Patricia xx

    1. Evening to all my family of blog friends sending heartfelt hugs to you all and hugs to all on the blog how lovley we all meet here xxx

    2. I'm so sorry you're having such a bad day dear Sheila. You are so right, about it being so lovely that we all meet up here. It's just like meeting up for coffee each day and having a good old natter. Even though I don't drink coffee haha! I hope something can be done about your pain very soon. It must be so difficult for you. Take care. Love and Hugs xxx

    3. Hi Sheila – I'm sorry to see that you have had a very painful day again. Take care, dear blog friend – sending you gentle caring hugs, love Gilly xxx

    4. Sheila – I can tell that you are struggling at the moment. You haven't mentioned the beautiful new plates that are going to be used on Maria's shows tomorrow! I LOVE the 4 babies and there are also 2 of the A5 size as well! Have a look and say what you think of them, I think that I can guess what you will say! Extra hugs xxx

    5. Thank you for all thinking of me and your lovley hugs .
I didn't even notice Maria was on hochanda or new plates comming out I will look and let you know gilly what I think I've just bought the new boarder plate I bought a couple of clarity stamp sets off crafters companion on Friday as they had 40% off ends tonight .
I know I'm been foolish at present as I'm struggling so much with pain in all of my bones my left hand is so swollen my finger bones hurt my little pinky is all out of shape and my hand is delved in as my wrist is swollen too my GP says he cannot up my new meds without the consultant giving him permission and he dosent want to give me a steroid injection as it will mask the symptoms because he is a new consultant on the NHS he needs to see my symptoms I know 3 weeks is not long so grit and bear it till then .
My GP says it's a very debilitating illness if worse comes to worse I can give away my clarity craft because I have many other illnesses your not just battling one oh dear I think I better go to sleep or I will have you all in tears night tomorrow is another day hugs xxx

    6. oh Sheila, please don't get yourself so down and be thinking you'll never craft again. Yes, it's a very debilitating illness, BUT there are good treatments which can keep it in check, for a lot of the time anyway. You've not started that journey yet. Please think positively, and wait and see what the consultant says and offers you, and how that works. You already know you can feel a lot better than this, look how well your steroid injection helped. If that's the only thing that helps your rheumatoid arthritis, you'll be allowed them again. The consultant needs to assess you at your worst so they can work out the best course of action for you. It's the only way it can be done I'm afraid. You must be suffering bad, it's an awful pain to have. Try to count down the days. Every day, or part of day you get through is another step towards your end goal, of finally getting the help you need with it. Take care, and please do something nice today, even if it is just sharing remembering some good memories with Tom, or watching a move or something that you really enjoy. And keep unloading to us as much as you need to xx

  22. Thank you so much for the border mate, how did you keep it a secret. I feel like it is my birthday, how wonderful and I can't wait to see your new border plates. Thanks again.

  23. Hi bloggy friends, hope you have managed to avoid the rain! Been hearing this funny noise and then realised it was all the bouncing on and off the Clarity wagon! Xx

  24. Oh my goodness sitting in the middle of a thunderstorm in Bellagio, Lake Como, thinking I wonder what Barbs is up to today! What a fab idea ………..just need one ……….oops ordered one! X

  25. This looks like a really good idea & a fabulous design – love the font. I think I'll need to treat myself to this. I have another dose of chemo tomorrow so unfortunately won't make the Open Days as usually in a 'fog' for about a week. But I have booked onto one of the Retreats as should be all finished by then. Soooo looking forward to it!

  26. Oh wow! So very pleased that I am coming to Crowborough this weekend. What a beautiful font for those letters and numbers. I'm so pleased that you've made a border plate as I just couldn't get on with the celotape option.I was only saying to someone the other week that you must surely be developing something for the borders. Hope you've got lots of them in stock. Thanks for letting the cat out of the bag. love and hugs, Jeanette xx

  27. These look lovely and Mr and me have collected quite a few border plates so this would be ideal.

We have tickets for Friday, however my StepDad (85 years young) has suddenly had to go into hospital today and we're not sure how long he'll be there. My Mum has to be cared for so not sure if we'll be able to make it…..

I do hope we can as both looked forward to this trip (all the way from Spalding, Lincs) for quite a while now……..fingers crossed not a long stay for Harry and nothing seriously wrong.

    Jackie xxx

    1. Thanks Pam, he was supposed to come out today, however, he went all wobbly when time to leave so they have kept him in again.

We are really disappointed that we can't be there tomorrow, but, Mum and H have to come first – suppose there will always be another day we can come xx

    2. Thanks Pam, he was supposed to come out today, however, he went all wobbly when time to leave so they have kept him in again.

We are really disappointed that we can't be there tomorrow, but, Mum and H have to come first – suppose there will always be another day we can come xx

  28. Wow this is stunning and will have to go on my list for next months spends!!
What a brilliant chap Jim is thinking of how to make it easier for us.
Sadly, I can't get to Crowborough but will have to make do with seeing all the comments when everybody has been. Have a brilliant weekend everyone! x

  29. Hello Barbara
Oh you are spoiling us, what a fabulous invention ( thanks Jim). I must investigate this further. What a shame, my brother in law was so taken with his birthday card ( torn paper hills, moon and boy with birds stamp) he asked me how I had done it, then looked on the website for the things he might have to have. I've been kind and I've offered to order a few things whilst they are away so they should be here when they get home so I might just have to add a couple of little things to the order for me – well it would be rude not to wouldn't it!! Thank you for sharing Barbara
    Sending hugs
    Love Diane xxx

    1. Hello all my lovely craft friends it's been a busy day here today and quite wet. What a brilliant idea this is, might just have a wee peek at this.three cheers for Jim. Sending huff all round xxx

  30. Hi Barb, what a fab idea, go Jim, love the patterns and designs too. Hope everyone that can go are looking forward to enjoying the open days. Take care all. Bx
